Definitely not for work travelers. By the time they figured out what I was saying from my (minimal) southern accent and found a functional pen to sign my $33.73 takeout order, I had nearly forgotten to ask them for eating utensils. As I signed my receipt I asked them for a set and the lady at the front said "oh we have to charge for those." Unbelievable. I actually considered making them give me a refund for the food I was so mad. I wonder if they charge people for Togo boxes when they cant finish their meal in their restaurant? I never found out how much they charge for a plastic fork and knife but I can only guess it isnt worth the business expense paperwork. Luckily for me my hotel was more than happy to oblige a set of plastic utensils so I could eat my dinner. Of the chicken parmesan, bruschetta, and gnocchi, the gnocchi was the only thing that I cared for but even that was overcooked. I see why they dont boil their penne in any salt because the tough parm chicken was so salty it was nearly inedible. They have poor policy and mediocre Italian food. I am sorry that I chose this place for my dinner tonight. I wont be back and I cannot recommend this place to anyone.

Sun. Oct 19th. 2014: My daughter treated me for Sweetest Day weekend ,This was our 2nd. time to eat at Domienicos , Loved it both times. Great Service and food, Steaks juicy and cooked just as we had ordered. Soup and salad bar included. Choice of sides. Enjoyed great coffee and carrot cake Too. Friendly staff and fair prices. I Plan to take more family members there this weekend . Nov. 2,,2015 Update : Still enjoy Domenicos in Beloit, WI. Over the past year several friends and family members have gone there for the great Buffet meals / and menu entrees. Service is friendly , food always fresh and hot. Steaks and shrimp are my personal choice , but buffet items are great too. I am having a friend from Rockford join me for lunch tomorrow. First suggestion will be Domenicos.

Domenicos is one of the very best Italian restaurants in the entire Rockford, Il. to Beloit, WI. area. I am from Chicago and know many Italian as well as other kinds of restaurants, including old Taylor Street. Domenicos is as good as any of them, right at the top. Weve been going there 21 years and never had bad service or bad food. Perhaps few know of their other restaurant on the west side of the Rock River, La Casa Grande. Again! One of the best restaurants of its kind. If someone wants to complain let them go to McDonnalds.

Domenicos was able to accommodate our large party with a same day reservation - 16 teenage soccer players and about 20 parents. We had a beautiful room to ourselves. The service was incredible, very attentive, friendly, and helpful . . . and the food was even better. About half of our group had the buffet and loved it . . . the other half ordered off the menu. I highly recommend the seasonal spring sangria, too! Thanks to Nathan and his crew for making a special night for our team.

Food was great! Went for a rehearsal dinner for a wedding & had a buffet style dinner of prime rib, chicken, shrimp scampi, salad, twice baked potato & zucchini. Only issue I had with the place is I saw one of the bus boys come out of the mens restroom with the pitcher that is used for drinking water. Dont know why they would fill the drinking water from the bathrooms, but it doesnt seem very sanitary to me. Other than that the food & service was great, just dont drink the water.

Everything was real good. From buffet to salad bar and large portions from menu reasonably priced. Couldnt finish our plates. Younger Hostess was helpful but not overly friendly when seated, but everyone else was great. Other help thanked us for coming when left, which is a good sign of a well run place to me. Definitely would visit again.

Went there for lunch with some coworkers, the place is clean but missing some signs. the corner entrance from Grand Ave. need to be adjusted. as soon as i got from that door i entered to an empty dinning area with no signs to find the welcome stand. Food is awesome and meat balls were the best (moist and tender)

Had our wedding night dinner buffet at Domenicos this past weekend and everyone said it was very good! They were able to accommodate our party of 48 in a private area with wait staff that took care of us well. Thanks Domenicos for your great hospitality on making our night a great one. Our family went for dinner. Our servers name was Arturo. He was very nice. Had wonderful recommendations. I had the stuffed shrimp which was wonderful. My daughter had the scallop capriscio. My grandson had the ravioli. Highly recommend. Great experience. The salad bar was fantastic.

Had the buffet and my husband had a steak. The steak was good but not the best. I think mainly due to the type of cut (ribeye). Wish there were more choices for steak. The buffet was ok. I was hoping for more pasta choices. There was just spaghetti with too much sauce.

Less than a 5 minute wait on a Friday night at 6pm. Great food on the buffet. Fresh fish and pastas as well as pizza and salad bar. Very friendly staff and owner was going table to table making sure customers were happy.

Enjoyed celebrating my wifes 80th birthday with family. The service was superb and the food from the buffet was delicious. I would recommend this restaurant for families to get together. They were very hospitable.

The best Italian food around. Something for everyone. Prices are a little higher but you are getting better food and better ingredients. Great 4 cheese pizza, my favorite. Great pasta too.

Our Senior "Lunch Buddies" from church had the lunch buffet today at Domenicos, and it was outstanding! We had twenty six in attendance, and the staff was so helpful and welcoming.
