Its okay. My sisters and I came in on a Thursday night to an empty restaurant. Even though it was empty, there was a table left with dirty dishes and the table we sat at looked like it hadnt been wiped down. Ordering went smoothly, even though the menus they keep at the ordering station is worn down and the ordering sheets definitely look like they need new ones. However, the overall decor is pleasant to look at. Cost of two build-a-bowls, two specials, appetizers, and three drinks came to about $65.00. Meatballs were good, my stuffed pasta was good, but my sisters shrimp scampi came out much too lemony (funnily they had slices of lemon on the plate that seemed very unnecessary). My other sisters build-a-bowl with Alfredo was extremely (and emphasis on extremely) bland. It was as if there was no salt.. She had to add salt and heaps of cheese to get any flavor out of the dish. We did get checked on often enough though and the meals were very filling. But, to see that half the meals were good and the other half not good is disheartening. Once again, not a bad experience, it was okay, but Im not too sure if it was enough to warrant another visit.

High hopes for such high prices! I did the build a bowl thing, and got angel hair, vodka sauce, Italian sausage, and a few random veggies. With the extra sausage and a drink, it came to almost $14, which is quite pricey especially on my college budget. But, because of the price, I hoped the portion and taste would be impeccable, but I was sorely mistaken. The plate came out and was absolutely tiny for what I paid for, and I was also quite astonished I paid $2 for a tiny sausage link. Still, the sausage link was the tastiest thing in the dish, as everything else was INCREDIBLY bland. My friend and I took one bite and had to continue dumping salt, pepper, and red flakes on it, just to taste our food. The friend that I was with mentioned that it was his second time, returning to hope that the food wouldnt be as bland as the first time, but still had the same result. On top of that, the waitress forgot our bread, which eventually came, cold and unimpressive.

Ive edited my review based on my most recent trip to the pasta kitchen, and lets say its not a positive. The staff was nice, yet clueless to ingredients used, or to how much of this, that or the other to give, or even telling me no when I asked for an extra item on my salad, saying that the salad only comes with one thing from the vegetables area. Its called training people, please train your employees better, if Im told no to anything again, Ill never return, I dont give a crap if you have to charge me 2 or 3 dollars per extra item I want on my salad, give the customer what they want! The food was also lacking from the first time I went here during the quite opening. Please fix your crew, and get the food back to the quality you presented during your first couple nights open and Ill change my review again, if not, Im afraid this restaurant will go on the same way every restaurant thats been in that building before you has, closed.

Zero stars! This place was completely empty on a Sunday afternoon, that shouldve been my 1st red flag. The lady at the counter wasnt exactly Nancy nice even tho we explained it was our 1st time there. The bread was hard and stale. Same lady tells us that real Italian bread is supposed to be that way. Im not Italian but I do know when bread is stale. Lol. Bland is an understatement for my mushy pasta with large chunks of garlic and oil. No SALT in anything. Young waiter and older man were nice but I couldnt bring myself to even leave a tip.We look forward to Sunday dinner when we can go out. Utterly disappointed.Gonna go have dessert to get the taste out of our mouths.

A truly sad experience. I did the make your own pasta bowl. Whe trying to add peas to my dish the lady filled my bowl with zucchini. Our group was given their dishes at multiple times. A young waiter kept yelling at his colleague about serving us the wrong dishes. It was awkward to say the least. When I asked for wine they had none. When I finally got my dish after my friends had gotten theirs, it was pathetic. My Alfredo was watery and thin. The bread they gave you was the size of a cracker. Overall it was a dreadful experience. Save your money. Go to Olive Garden. Im not kidding.

The New Pasta Kitchen offers a lot of options. I have had the pasta bowl on two different occasions, both times it was take out. I love that I can select all of my own ingredients!! On both occasions I was able to eat lunch and have left overs too. I also had several tastes during the ribbon cutting with the Collierville Chamber of Commerce. The decor is bright and clean and this fall it will be great to sit in the front with the windows open. I look forward to trying some of the other dishes.

We have been with our 2 year old son several times now, and we love it! It is very family friendly, nice and spacious, and the service is great. The pasta is homemade and you can tell. My wife has had the lasagna and the baked ziti, and they were both delicious. I favor the build-your-own pasta bowl option, with the penne noodles, pesto sauce, and sausage. We will definitely be going back.

Staff was very nice but I was not impressed with my dish- the baked ziti. It didnt have much flavor and was pretty bland. My husband did a build your own pasta and his pesto sauce was really runny and his pasta just looked to be swimming in olive oil. Overall, very disappointed in the food and I wouldnt reccomend it.

I have eaten here several times and love it! As a celiac, it is so nice to have a pasta place in town that caters to the gluten free! The food is delicious and the gluten free pasta is the best Ive tried. The staff is so polite and the atmosphere is great! I highly recommend it, you wont be disappointed!

I was very let down by the terrible service. The food is fine. Its not prepared well, but its good food. The service very awkward. I went on a date to eat here, and I kept getting commentary about the background music being terrible. Ill try it one more time, but I have lowered my expectations.

Ill take Pasta Kitchen or Olive Garden any day of the week. Imagine it like Subway but with a "pasta bowl." The servings are generous, the pasta al dente and the sauces not overly salted. When Italian food is in order on a weekday night - perfect.

Wine down Wednesday = $2.00 wine refills! We had a variety of appetizers and a build your own bowl pasta dish. Enjoyed everything. Best of all was the friendly staff! If you havent been here, youre missing out!

The best pasta in Memphis in my opinion. You get to customize your own pasta with any Noodle and as many delicious vegetables/meats you want. Excellent meal and extremely friendly and helpful staff.

Everyone was friendly and the atmosphere was enjoyable. The food was not as good as I expected and is rather pricey for the quality. Dishes were bland and didnt come out hot.
