Amazing place to unwind or perk up, courtesy of yoir drink of choice and the staff who are fantastic at what they do and embody the ideal of "service with a smile" and are happy to indulge customers in conversation as they go about their masterful work. A fantastic selection of coffee only makes this place that much more attractive to everyone from the your average Joe looking for a cuppa to your coffee connoisseur seeking that perfect roast, grind and brew not to mention the admirable selection of lovely aged teas for sale. Definitely a place Ill be frequenting.

Ok place, and as for closing early, Gary....independants do not have the budget to support freeloaders who get a small coffee and hang around for hours using internet that costs businesses 3 times as much as your home service to have each month. Support your local independant coffeehouse and actually BUY something while surfing and doing your homework and then maybe they can afford to pay someone to keep the doors open, instead of the owner working 16 hours a day. Sheesh....some people just want it all for nothing.

Love, love, love Lost Dog Coffee - cannot say enough good things, everything they make is terrific, its always fun to stop by and talk to people. If you do not know what you are in the mood for you can give them a direction and they will recommend something for you, they have never steered me wrong! Its the type of coffee I take a drink of and feel like everything is right with the world!

This is as close to the perfect coffee shop as youll ever see. Bewildering array of top quality coffee and tea. Knowledgeable and skilled baristas. Awesome, edgy, and RELEVANT decor. Great music. Interesting customers. I could go on . . . The owner can be a little grumpy but just give him a pinch and hell perk right up.

First rate cappuccino from great espresso beans. They also have a wide selection of cookies, teas, and a range of non-milk options for your coffee/tea that I havent tried but look great. Wonderful friendly service in a space with an eclectic vibe. Great art on the walls (and some skin). Best coffee in Shepherdstown.

I am a coffee addict, like so many that visit Lost Dog. I am always trying new roasts and brands when I am out and about in different places, but everything I try pales in comparison. Their Wet Dogs are DELICIOUS but its their SEXPRESSOOHHHH that is THE BOMB!!! BEST espresso blend EVER. I drink it 1-3 times daily ;)

Always a great cup of coffee, latte or perfectly steeped tea. And with new local art on the walls every month and eclectic and fun decor, it makes getting coffee a wonderful experience. Over the years, as a visitor and now a local, I always feel welcome in this neighborhood coffee shop.

Aging hippies will feel at home here. There is lots of quirky artwork reminiscent of the early 1970s, although the music is more what the young baristas feel like playing. My cappuccino was perfect. No, there doesnt seem to be any free Wi-Fi, but they didnt have that in 1974, either.

I asked for a medium roast that was high in caffeine and the young man there suggested a blend named "Bill and Ted" - an harmonious blend of light medium and dark roast. It was lovely and the caffeine kick is significant. Yay! Lost Dog!
