Based on the info available online we were expecting a true Farm to Table experience. What we got was basically bar food that happens to be made with meat from a local farm. I had to laugh at how the server described the Tostitos chips that the "tacos" were made from as corn tortillas pressed into the shape of a cup, haha! That is the most imaginative description for a Tostitos chip I have ever heard. Given that we were looking for clean food and would NEVER give our daughter Tostitos chips (or the Lays potato chips that came with the Bratwurst!), we were pretty disappointed that this place claims to be so altruistic about the quality of their food when in reality there are obviously some corners that were cut.

My wife and I are always looking for organic restaurants in the Northern Virginia area. (There are very few organic places to eat). Fortunately, we found one in the lovely town of Middleburg... the Side Saddle Cafe - great food, good - friendly service, nice atmosphere. I loved the loaded Steak and Cheese Melt - the best Ive had in a long time. In fact, possibly the best I have ever had, since the steak was from their farm which we later visited - purchasing several items. We will be back to the cafe and farm! (-I even ordered another steak and cheese to go!) Additionally, we shared a super dessert. Highly recommend this cafe

Farm to table fresh food. An eclectic dining room meets you when you enter the restaurant off the alley. A mix of small tables and a couple of bar height tables with stools offer limited seating. The food is made fresh to order with farm fresh ingredients. The hot ham and cheese is one of the best we have ever had, the burgers was very good as well. Try the fresh bread with Amish butter as a starter to truly appreciate the wholesome goodness of the food here.

We loved the food and the service here. I had the cheesesteak which was amazing! They sautéed the vegetables in wine and it was remarkably savory. My wife had the duck taco and roasted vegetables which were also spectacular. We enjoyed the Bobby Darren and Frank Sinatra music as well. Highly recommend it!

Cozy, casual place offering beer on tap, wines and kombucha. The 3 cheese grilled cheese sandwich is to die for...made with homemade bread and grilled in real butter! The lamb stew was very meaty and great choice of salads too! A dont miss when youre in Middleburg!

Wonderful farm to table food, no nitrates added to their meats that come directly from their farm, vegan and vegetarian options too. Best ham and cheese sandwich EVER! Actually everything is very good. Highly recommend.

Really wonderful farm comfort food, great use of spicies, fresh bread, and a county store to buy ready to eat stews, soups, and fresh meats.
