I am so unbelievably angry after having eaten here! Wow!!! It started when we walked in with a group of people. We were waiting for a couple people to join us: we had a large group of people and were taking up the entire tiny waiting area. They refused to seat us or even consider us until our ENTIRE group was there. We had several children with us and were forced to wait on a couple people. They finally sat us and as we were sitting they realized a couple people were still not there and stated with an attitude "did you lose part of your group?" We stated they are about 10 min out. The servers walks around glaring at us and acting pissed off that we sat without a couple people. No server came up to ask us for drinks or anything until weve been sitting there for 20 min. Finally someone came up. I asked if they have a full bar. I said Id like a peartini. She glared at me and said- I dont know what that is!! I said- maybe the bartender will know? She said- NO! We dont have that. Me- ok how about an appletini? Her- NO! We dont have that either! So I finally just ordered something off their special drink menu. She said they dont have any fruit flavored stuff. Yet they had several fruity drinks on the menu. We waited for ever for our food...no server walked up to us. I caught a random server and I asked if the nan(bread) we ordered would be coming. She said- it comes with the food. I said I assumed it would come as an appetizer (since thats how 99.9% of restaraunts do it.) she said- if thats what you wanted you had to ask for it in advance. Ok... So finally food comes out. It was ok. I had a 12 month old child with me. He was getting really cranky as it was past his bedtime (since we waited for EVER to be seated and then for the food) we never knew who out server even was. We had different people come up every time. My brother asked if he could get some sauce to dip the bread into. The server looked pissed. He said the bread doesnt come with a sauce. We later noticed all the other tables had little sauce trays and we never were offered that. We had a table full of empty glasses and dirty dishes that nobody would pick up. I told the server I needed a box and my check as my child was having a complete melt down. She said she couldnt split the Check for us. And didnt bring me a box. Apparently if we wanted the Check split we HAD to ask in advance. I gave my card to my sister and went to the car as my child was screaming. I waited for 20 min in the car as the incompetent and angry servers tried to figure out our payments. I am just so pissed! Nobody gave a damn that I had a screaming baby or that we had zero service. And of course we HAD to pay gratuity weather we got service or not. Anyhow NEVER again will I be back. These jerks need to get shut down!!!

Terrible! below standard food and rude staff to say the least. The day we came in to eat at this restaurant, it seemed empty with only 2 guests seated in, the person at the entrance took a long time to show us our seats. It took forever for the server to take our order, as we waited more than 15 minutes. The server taking our order had no smile and a lack of interest in taking the order. I regularly eat at various restaurants especially Indian restaurants, the food here is below standards, moreover they charge $15 for a small quality of curry and $3.50 for one roti(like a flatbread), whereas other Indian restaurants charge lesser and their food taste much better. One of the dish we ordered was a chicken dish, which came with more onions and bell peppers and less of the chicken. The rice was cold and did not smell fresh. To make matters worse, the owner of the restaurant was fighting aloud with one of his cook, while the customers were eating food. We were not even asked if we needed anything to order, my husband had to walk up to the server to place the order for more flatbread( naan). Let me also warn you at the end of all this when our bill arrived, it showed an extra 18% automatic tip charged along with the tax. When I politely asked about it, the server was being very rude and said a group charge of 18% was charged, though we were 4 with a 6 year old, who hardly ate any of the cold food. I am aware that some restaurants do charge a group charge but of what I learnt and read online over the internet, a group of 6 and more is charged the 18% charge and my family being small of 4 members and a 6 year old, we asked if the charges were to be applied to our bill. However my husband and I agreed to pay the extra charge and while I was pulling out my wallet to pay for the bill, the owner, who is also the cook there, came to our table and started to fight with my husband which left us with an unpleasant feeling. I decided to write the review because this restaurant serves low quality food, charges high price, has a rude staff, an owner who is extremely rude and a server with no interest in finding out if the customers need to order more food, which left us with an experience that made us uncomfortable and vouched we would never come here again and also warn our friends to stay away from this cheap restaurant. I also wanted to warn others of being charged extra if you are a group of 5 and more as they will charge 18% tip on the bill which was later shown by their rude server in their menu, printed in small print at the bottom of the menu. In the past I have eaten from other Indian restaurants and I have never been charged the extra 18% for a small family of 5, with one being a kid. I will never be dining here again for sure.

There are a number of great Indian restaurants orbiting Woodinville/Redmond/Mill Creek/etc.--the Clay Oven, Cuisine of India in Woodinville ISNT one of them. Without question, its the worst $50 Ive spent on food in a long while. A few comments to support my point: 1. if Indian food appeals to you because of its complex flavors, beautiful blends of spice, nuts and cream then this place is NOT for you 2. if rich, fresh, well-cooked and beautifully balanced combinations of meat and sauces rank in your list of favorites then this place is also NOT for you--it was watery at best; tasteless at worst... and Id lay money the meat was re-heated 3. if Naan bread is high on your list of favorite breads then this place is still NOT for you--Ive had crispier pancakes; flat and greasy shouldnt enter into a description of Naan bread ... this restaurant sucks! If I really thought I could return the food, I would--but the only return Im going to get out of this is sadly going to take a wasted 12-hours of my bodys digestive system and come out of my butt (and I imagine Ill dislike it just as much on the way out as I did on the way in... and for that matter, Im not entirely sure that wasnt the origin of this meal). PS: I rarely write restaurant reviews because Im usually happy-enough or elated by our choices and I suspect thats because we use reviews like these to guide those choices. Tonight, however, we didnt feel like making the drive to the wonderful Claypit, Cuisine of India (I emplore you, please, dont mix these similarly-named restaurants up) in Mill Creek--my bad for being lazy... and reasonable evidence that crowd-sourced reviews work like a charm... so its time for me to give back and vent my frustration at the utter $h1te this place calls food. @Clay Oven Cuisine of India in Woodinville--you should be ashamed; you suck! @Claypit, Cuisine of India in Mill Creek--you guys consistently meet or beat my expectations--you rock! Finally, for the English folks out there with as much experience eating Indian food as me... ugh; bloody awful!
