This restaurant is not vegetarian. Far from it. Besides the beef chili the clam chowder contained bacon or ham without mentioning it on the description next to it. Yet meat contents are meager in all the dishes, rather, very meager. Other protein contents are also meager except for dairy products. What is the specialty goal of this restaurant? I dont see it. The only thing consistent about the food I can identify is cheap. At $9.80 for lunch (drinks are extra) the cost is way high for what was there. This is the fifth time Ive been to this restaurant. Each time the protein has become more sparse. Theres not even a warm vegetarian dish with abundant protein such as beans. They had lots of staff there but still I saw fruitflies buzzing around the salads. Can I say something positive? The muffins tasted good. Still, muffins are greasy and so were these. Wife and grown son came too. We all agreed, not a good experience.

Went for weekend brunch. Me and four other customers stood and waited while tons of other employees walked by and ignored us. It seemed like everyone there was trained to do one thing and one thing only. Sort salad leaves and sweep the floor instead of helping customers. The one person who did seem to be scheduled to work the register walks out with a drink in her hand and loudly tells her manager that shes still on break. Then shes not on break but spends 3-4 minutes talking to some random customers on the other side of the room. Even the manager wouldnt just suck it up and work the register. The couple in front of me gave up and walked out - the couple behind me ate for free. Oh yeah, and once we did sit down and get our food that same manager decided it was a great time to sit with a friend of his at a table and talk to him for the 30+ minutes we were eating our meal. What a zoo.

When the kids were small, we loved this place. Now kids are teens, visits became rare. After one year, we went there again this weekend. I was disappointed. Long gone the "sweet tomatoes" - now you have the cut up tomatoes youd likely use for cooking sauce. My two favorite soups at this place - French Onion was way too salty and Clam Chowder was only potatoes, hard to find clams. No melons, but some small apples and old looking cut up oranges. Nobody came over with a basket of cookies to offer at tables like they used to do. Baked goods were still good, but overall the restaurant was not as good as years ago. $9.99 was not a good value either. Should have spent $1 extra to have the Chinese buffet across the street.

Woah, if its your first time then this place can be overwhelming. Forget about greasy burgers, fries and milkshakes that are often founder at regular buffets because this one has a salad bar, soup/bakery bar and an optional entreè choice. But BEWARE! Although the prices are reasonable, Im pretty sure they charge per person. If I ever come back there, Ill have a friend pay for unlimited salad while I walk through one of the side entrances/exits to join in (without paying for basically nothing, since my friend already payed for UNLIMITED salad). Then, of course, wed split the bill which is 7.99 without tax.

One of my favorite places to go. Although I start out thinking I will be Captn Health and just eat a salad, but then I can never pass up the Pasta bar, Soup, Baked Potato, deserts and muffins. Before I know it, Im asking the server for a wheelbarrow to haul me out to my car. Workers are nice and there is plenty of room for the family. Just like most other places, if you just drink the water, you can keep your bill manageable. One hint. If you like real bacon bits, then skip the bacos in the salad are and head to the baked potato bar. :) All in all its a fine place to chill out and eat a great meal.

Nice salad bar, but for a place that claims to nutritious, they have no clue what real, balanced nutrition is. UPDATE - I just attended their "testing" of their new menu which is supposed to offer more protein. The quality and amount of meat that they put in the only option offered was horrendous! The meat was more fat than protein and the sandwich was almost all bread and cheese. If you actually eat healthy and balance your macronutrients, dont waste your time or money here. If you just want a big salad and some average soup and muffins, go ahead.

If youre looking for flavor, I would suggest your mammas cooking, or Applebees across the street. The food was extremely bland and had no flavor. Though some of the food may look hot, the food was cold by the time I got to the table. We had to add and combine different foods to try and make it taste better, and it still was a let down no matter how many seasonings or sauces were on it. It was irritating how many dishes I had to search through to find something clean to eat on. SERIOUSLY. The one star was for the server. She was very friendly.

Good, healthy food at very reasonable prices and outstanding staff! BUT....the recent dip into an expanded entre pool, kind of fell flat for us. We tried the meatloaf and the Parmesan chicken and... Yuck! They were out of the steak and salmon. It tasted like they used the same, off flavor, reddish orange sauce under a coating of tasteless cheese. The flavor was less than inspiring. The texture of both meats was over soft and kind of gooey. Ill go back but Im sticking with the old favs. Mac and cheese and spaghetti.

I have been a regular here for a few years, and the food is great and the service is excellent, Kelsey , Katie, and Amber are very customer service driven and are attentive, courteous and friendly, and on many occasions I have spoken with Stephen King here and Chris. The Big Chunk Chicken noodle soup and the chilli really hit the spot. The management ensures that the freshest vegetables are available. This is definitely a place to go for a healthy and hearty meal . Great job guys and gals of Sweet Tomatoes !!

You cant beat the tomato soup with grilled cheese foccacia dippers. Bakery items are melt in your mouth good with the cranberry orange being the favorite. Clam chowder has plenty of clams and although Im not much for salad, the tuna tarragon pasta salad is yummy. Hot pastas are forgettable and not worth filling up on and miss out on so many other choices. Hatch chilie dressing was not to be missed so I put some on eggs, radishes, and cucumbers. Saved all the greens for you! Dig in.

Thus was my first time at any Sweet Tomatoes locations, and I was really disappointed. It was about $12 per person and for salads, that just seems exorbitant. Based in the price I was expecting at least some chicken as a possible salad topping. My husband was similarly disappointed by the offerings. Basically, if all you was is a plate of vegetables, this will be your jam, but if you want protein look elsewhere.

We both love the salads we can get here but the soups - well, just take a small portion and see what it tastes like. Dont know why but they love to ruin perfectly good recipes - like "curried" lobster bisque - even the server said it was atrocious. Best thing to do, if you try a soup and it is terrible - let the manager know - they clearly need feedback. Soups are a crap-shoot, but the salads are always good!
