First of all, the staff, while professional, seemed pretty stuck up. They barely listened to my order, and there was some confusion with my order (they had to come back due to their inattentiveness to ask what I wanted again, and even gave me misinformation after taking my order) because the waitress wasnt paying attention when I ordered the "express" special. The food is kind of pricey for the product you get: $25 before tip during lunch got me soup, salad, sandwich, and a latte. The soup de jour was delicious but a bit odd with the texture and had a couple bits of bone from the chicken. Salad was very straight-forward, greens, dried fruit, chopped nuts and light but tasty vinaigrette. Sandwich had a very delicious spread but the meat itself was fairly bland. The latte was standard but done properly. Ill go back to try different items and buy bread because they are close... But Im not sure if Id go for anything other than the specials due to the menu prices. For a lunch cafe to be charging what they do, their really game needs to be taken up a notch.

Went for brunch on Sunday.Could not be waited on as the restaurant had pushed all small tables together to seat large parties.there was 6 large tables with 4 to 6 at each table none had been even fed so my husband and I knew it would be a long long wait.we left and returned on Wednesday and was able to be seated and talked to the waitress about what had taken place on Sunday. She informed us that either way they lose so thats how it is.My husband and I ordered and beings it was late afternoon we decided to share a sandwich and ordered 2 drinks. The waitress heard us say we would split it so when our order came it had been split and we thanked her for having done that for us.When we got the bill there was a $2.00 extra charge on the bill so I asked the waitress what the charge was for and she said for the kitchen because of the split. We werent asked if we wanted the sandwich split or informed as to any extra charge. My husband paid the bill looked at me and said we will never be back. I would rate them very low on the scale for customer service.

Bleu Door is so delicious that you will cry tears of joy. :) I had the oven roasted turkey on jalapeño ciabatta the other day for lunch. Wow! The hint of honey butter on the ciabatta really brought all the flavors together. To go with the sandwich, I had the tomato bisque and it was brilliant. It really complimented the sandwich, but was also excellent in its own right. We had the blueberry bread pudding for dessert. Usually, I dont like bread pudding (its a texture thing) but I gave their bread pudding a try, and of course, I loved it. We took several pastries to go, and of course, I ate all of them late at night! Everything was delicious. Went back again and had a breakfast croissant sandwich with cheese, egg and ham. It was marvelous. Bleu Door is a gem in uptown Vancouver!

Visited Bleu Door for the first time on a Sunday morning for brunch. There were 3 of us in our party. I would recommend calling ahead to get your name put on the list because this seems to be a popular spot. Even with calling ahead, there was a bit of a wait for the table. The atmosphere is very comfortable and friendly as is the staff. We ordered a plate of beignets that were enough to share among the three of us. They were freshly made and tasted great as did the mimosas. Our food was delivered in a timely manner after we ordered, and it was delicious! I have already recommended friends of mine make a visit. Well definitely return many times over!

Came in for breakfast on my way out of town fully expecting to start the meal with beignets (Im a glutton, what can I say?) Sadly, theyre only served on weekends so I had my eggs and potatoes sans sweet treats. The temptation was there however. The case was packed with treats of all descriptions but my food arrived before I could make a choice, so I decided to forgo the extra calories. Service here is efficient and with a smile. The decor is cute as a button. The only thing I didnt care for was the coffee. It had a bitter taste. Next time Im in town, Ill make sure to stop in on a Saturday or Sunday!

The food was good, BUT they did not say a word on any signs about there being nuts in the gluten free oatmeal blueberry thing. And I had an allergic reaction. I am not a crazy person who needs kid gloves but honestly when vegan and gluten free items are labeled and the main ingredients are listed on most signs it makes sense to label an extremely common and dangerous allergy. I am very disappointed that this happened as I had to rush to a store for Antihistamines in the middle of my school day. Please ask for clarification on allergies. I would hate for someone to get hurt.

Scramble was pretty good, but didnt change my life. I do like that they use local, seasonal ingredients to rotate what they put in it. Quick service (although there was no one in there when I came in at 8 on a Saturday, which quickly changed as I ate). I might have been better off just getting things from their pastry case, because the crossaint that came with my meal was probably the best part, along with the coffee. Friendly service, and overall a good experience. But whats with the Curlz MT on the sign. Tbh, I almost didnt come in because of it.

Most of Vancouver should know by now that this is THE PLACE for bread, pastries, cookies, etc. I love that the outdoor service counter is still open, Ill sit out here even in crummy weather. Heres why I left a star off: theres an issue with menu items available between the inside and outside services. For the owners this is probably a "feature" that helps keep things flowing smoothly. From a patrons perspective this feels like a "bug" because the Bleu Door should just be the Bleu Door, not an a/b, inside/outside thing.

This review is for the express window as I havent dined inside yet. Best coffee on Main Street! No vegan options that I could see, but their vegetarian quiche and sandwich offerings are soo tasty. One of the sandwiches had avocado, asparagus, spinach, and some more veggies on ciabatta. Yum! Shelby said they usually make the sandwich on focaccia, so Ill have to come back to try it on a different bread. She put a free cookie in the bag with my order, too. :) My pups loved sitting on the outdoor patio with me!

My boyfriend ordered a Reuben and really liked it. I ordered the veggie on focaccia and didnt love it. It had cream cheese made with cashews that I didnt love. Ive had other vegan cream cheeses before that but this wasnt my favorite. The bread was really fresh and good though. The sandwiches each came with a small peanut butter cookie which I found more salty than sweet. Customer service was great and the restaurant is super cute. The iced mango tea was also good and they sell cute dog treats.

Michele is the greatest! She was so sweet, bubbly, complimentary, and FINALLY the one person in the Portland area that can make a Cappuccino right! (A scoop of foam in an upside down spoon shouldnt fall, for REAL FOAM people!!) Michele totally made my day. This is such a cute place to eat, or study while having coffee and a croissant. I was bummed that we missed breakfast by 5 minutes. Oh well, next time. This is where Ill be getting my coffee, from now on. So worth the little extra detour.
