This place had a bunch of good reviews. Having a cold an wishing for hot piping soup sounded amazing. I figured it would warm me up an be magically delicious. But instead I was served hot water, cold ramen an poor service. When the boyfriend an I arrived I was excited to sit down an see what it was all about. Their menu is small an simple. Not much to choose from. One page. I felt like they had more items on their online menu than when we actually went in. We ordered their tea but they didnt have honey and no lemons. The tea tasted nasty like it was a instant mix. We ordered the spring rolls. Basically $1 for one spring roll. Didnt taste too bad but I wouldnt go back for these. But boy, when we got our soups they were cold. I was so upset I told the waiter an she done nothing jus walked away. The broth was cold. The eggs, meat an veggies were cold. The egg was cooked but like it was cold an left over an they jus put it on top. They dont offer many veggies. Jus corn, tomatoes, an green onion. (I was hoping for more or to at least have the option) The meat cooked but looked like it was left over an jus put on top. And was also cold. Oh an the noodles didnt even taste cooked. They were firm an cold. Cant find another word for cold but all of it was cold. An they didnt even care. So when I told her my soup was cold she went to reach an touch my bowl but turned an Jus walked away. So if you want cold soup go here. I told our waitress again when I went up to the cashier an all she said was Im sorry an asked how I wanted to pay. I wouldnt recommend this place because of my experience. Im very upset I told them twice my soup was cold an didnt even offer anything an jus wanted money. Jus made me feel like they didnt care. Makes me feel like they are cold hearted an dont want any business. Its a shame. The boyfriend loves ramen. But after this experience I wouldnt recommend them. Im highly disappointed.

Ive been frequenting King of Ramen for about 5 months now with my significant other and a few other friends of mine. Let me start off with that simply because it should speak leaps; why would I go so much if I didnt enjoy this location? And thats just it. I love it here. The music they play is a simple chilled out electronic genre, usually music by Kaskade. The service is outstanding, if you get especially lucky and its dead theyre practically waiting for you by the time you walk through the doors. Im sure they have limited staff because you always see the same friendly, eager to serve faces. The menu might be small, but it is simply because it makes for effective work flow, plus when you have limited ingredients that are used up often, you can almost guarantee that they will be fresh. The only warning I have with freshness would probably have to do with the boiled eggs, they seem to be soaked in soy sauce, which isnt terrible, but its also a known practice to preserve the freshness of eggs. I completely understand this just because hard boiled eggs take a long time to make, and if you dont have them ready, how are you going to serve ramen?. Honestly, I quite like the taste, but it can all come down to preference. All of their appetizers are delicious but Id have to say the best bang for your buck appetizer wise would be the fried tofu. You get somewheres around 16 pieces for only $4? Thats insane. And I love it. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) All in all this place has some kick-a** ramen, awesome staff, great prices, and their service and food NEVER disappoints me. Ill always give it a big recommendation whenever discussing asian cuisine around Spokane!

Tried the "other" ramen place first about a month ago and it was o.k., but King of Ramen really surprised me! They served a large portion for a fair price and the kicker was the ramen was FANTASTIC!!! For Spokane, I keep my expectations lower when it comes to ethnic cuisine. These guys know how to pack a ton of flavor into a bowl of ramen! I ordered the spicy pork and added fried garlic. My wife got the pork (not spicy) with fried garlic. There are several ingredients you can add to the ramen, but it comes with plenty to start! We may eventually try the other few dishes they offer, but Im going with the ramen again! We both agreed to come back soon!!!

Ive never had real ramen before (Top ramen doesnt count!) so thought I would try this place for takeout. I ordered the Spicy Minced Pork (they made it mild, per my request), and the Spring Rolls. The spring rolls were really good. The minced pork on the ramen was absolutely delicious! I could really taste the ginger, which was lovely. The noodles, however, were too salty for my taste, and there was no broth whatsoever. Even though I ordered it to go, it hadnt been sitting long by the time I ate it, so the noodles shouldnt have had time to soak up all the broth. But, all in all, I will be back. The place was very clean, too.

Mediocre at best! So disappointed. Everything tasted stale or.from frozen. The pork was dry/over cooked, the noodles tasted like the packaged kind, and the broth itself was bland. The gyoza were the kind you can get in the freezer section of the grocery store. Yuck. We have been to dozens of ramen places in WA and CA, and few of them live up to real fresh ramen. But most reviews for this place were great, so we figured we would try it while in town. Not worth it. Dont waste your money. Eat somewhere else.

I didnt know there was a new Japanese Ramen noodle restaurant in Spokane!! OMFG! I was so excited to try it and it didnt disappoint me at all! I ordered the Spicy Tonkotsu ramen with fried garlic. Taste was right to me, it might be lite to others. The broth has many different layers, I felt like I was in heaven! It was snowing and it was the perfect time to eat a hot bowl of spicy ramen! Absolutely love it! I will come back again to try their curry soon.

I really enjoyed the ramen. It had a really great depth of the flavors while staying clean. I could taste everything from the broth, noodles, egg, pork, and ginger. The garlic was good so I asked for the extra addon of fried garlic and it was spectacular. The sides of pot stickers were good, but nothing that really stood out. The Japanese style fried chicken bites were also good. Different but in a yummy way. Love this place!

My spouse and I were in Washington on a little vacation and decided to give this place a try.. Well best decision EVER! I have had a love for ramen for quiet some time and this truly hit the spot. The flavors are so well balanced and not to mention the portions great. I HIGHLY recommend for everyone to give this place a try. You will not leave displeased.

SERIOUSLY so good. I crave it even though its a million degrees outside. I cant wait until fall so I can enjoy a perfect bowl of ramen in the perfect temperature and setting. Its the most traditional ramen youll find anywhere near here. The flavors and textures are spot on. My only issue is that its a bit expensive for what you get.
