The most important thing to know: Its all-day Happy Hour on Mondays and Tuesdays. And their HH menu is awesome. Its a pretty big menu, and all of the prices are pretty cheap (under $10). I came here on a Tuesday for their HH and ordered a bunch of food because it was so cheap. We go a Spider roll, California roll, shrimp tempura roll, chicken yakisoba, pork short ribs, and pork gyoza. Their rolls are rolled fairly large, which was a tad bit different than what I was used to, but I was okay with that. I wasnt that happy with the spider roll, but the California roll and shrimp tempura rolls were awesome. The chicken yakisoba was just the right savory and sour, and it wasnt greasy at all; something I notice in most yakisoba from cheap teriyaki restaurants. The pork gyoza were large, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. They definitely did not have that out-of-the-freezer bag taste you might expect with most gyoza. The pork short ribs were the biggest disappointment, if I had to choose. Theres a fine line between tender and chewy and they were way to chewy for my tastes. We werent planning on getting dessert there, but we thought we would try it out too since it was pretty cheap. We got their chocolate lava cake and green tea tiramisu. The lava cake didnt have any "lava" inside of it, but it was incredible fudgy, moist and delicious and it was served with 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream. The green tea tiramisu probably doesnt sound too appetizing, but it was so soft, fluffy and tasty. I was surprised that I liked it since Im not that big of a fan of green tea to begin with. Overall, Im happy with with the food. The service was a little bit shoddy as the wait-staff werent very attentive and slow to fulfill requests (e.g. more water and utensils). I definitely will be going back to take advantage of their happy hour menu again though.

After our favorite place to eat in Seattle closed we decided to find a new place. We took a look at Wanns very nice web page and list of positive reviews in Google maps and decided to give it a try, that was the first mistake. Upon getting there we waited a bit for them to setup a table for our group and then were seated. The Sake selection is very bland and heavily skewed towards unfiltered and mid SMV selections, they only have one dry sake and it does not have the best of reviews. After dealing with this we sat and tried to have conversation but were constantly distracted by the very poor taste in music of someone at the restaurant that decided that they needed to play an eminem song every 5 minutes mixed in with other strange rap /hiphop selections, it just didnt fit the atmosphere of the restaurant and was rather distracting. The process of checkout was bad due to their inability to split a check and after a back and forth we ended up giving them an additional tip ontop of the 18% just so we could leave. Overall the atmosphere is poor, they seemed to have lighting problems, the service was poor, and the selection of food/drinks was meh at best. If I could give them less than 1 star I would.

I never ever write the reviews. Normally due to the fact that businesses all make mistakes and it is very hard to develop a very good solid establishment. This restaurant managed to be the WORST CUTOMER care EVER. Person on the phone refused to take the order for a few people we had over and wanted a small order to go. Initially the hostess ( not sure if I can even call her this name ) said that they were very busy and could not get the order for 8-10 ppl to go. Then she said it would take her an hour to do so and it was perfectly fine by me. Only to find out that she absolutely refused to do even that since the moment I started ordering the items she kept presistentiy repeating that nothing is available. I asked for the manager she lied that she was a manager and then told me that I should just not order from them at all. I have never in my life been treated this way at the restaurant. This is beyond terrible and sad that these people are even in business given that their restaurant food wise is actually extremely mediocre quality to begin with.

A group of friends and I called ahead for evening eats and were told that no reservations were necessary. We arrived and sorted out up-front with the waiter about our payment considerations; intent of separate checks. We were informed that this courtesy was not extended, inspite of novel gadgets such as Abacuses and calculators or possibly computers. After drinks were selected around the remarkably unremarkable Sake menu, food was ordered and it was passable. Once the check arrived, we were all tasked with identifying who ordered what. The process of this took longer than the initial order for drinks or food. Some back-and-forth occurred due to recalculation of taxes and tip. We were finally able to depart from our meal after getting our accounting degrees to manage an otherwise trivial task in about 90 minutes. The positive from this experience is that I look forward to IRS audits as they will be easier and less painful experiences than this dining experience was.

My boyfriend and I visited this restaurant last night and were not overly impressed. The atmosphere was actually quite nice, we absolutely loved the little garden they had under the stairs. However, the food was unimpressive (not bad, just nothing special) and the service was AWFUL! In their defense, it did seem to be a very busy night for the restaurant, however, we sat for over 15 minutes before our waitress even realized we were her table. Upon arrival of our food, most everything was cold. The only thing redeeming about the restaurant was that we came during happy hour and they have some very reasonable happy hour drinks and sushi. The waitress was very apologetic about things and tried to make it up to us with free green tea, but overall this place was disappointing and I do not think we will return. We are sushi fans and the sushi menu was very limited and bland, however, they might serve better Japanese food, as this is more their specialty over sushi.

We were staying in the Moore Hotel on our honeymoon and was wandering down the street for dinner on our first night before we decided on Wann Japanese Izakaya. It a very quiet when we arrived (it was a weekday night) and the restaurant had a really chill and cool vibe to it. The interior is very nicely decorated and it did look a little posh. The food was pretty good and although I wouldnt say its the best Japanese food Ive ever had, its definitely better than your average sushi bar. The bartender behind the bar was very friendly and attentive, always making sure that we were looked after. At the end of the day, the bill was a little pricey but we were glad we gave it a go.

The service is alright and the food was average. Not sure why the rave reviews, but coming from SoCal, this izayaka joint was disappointing. The sushi rice is cool/cold instead of warm/cool. Not enough yaki items to choose from. Yakitori was dry into small pieces and overcooked into jerky. In Japan, yakitori are cubes, and cooked over 700°F charcoal so clicked cooks fast and juices sealed in. The calamari salad had a sweet Thai chili sauce which was a bit too bizzare for me as a salad dressing.
