What happened to this place? It used to be one of my favorite sandwich shop in Seattle. The had an amazing ruben. Had. The menu is all messed up now. If you like turkey, theyve got turkey six was to Sunday! And if you like loud , discordant music blasting at you while you sit with 10 or so other patrons waiting and waiting... and waiting... still waiting for the turkey meatball sandwich, then you are in luck! A turkey meatball?! Yet this was one of the more appealing things on the menu. Admittedly, I went there for a ruben and their turkey ruben sounded very disappointing. So, overall, bleah. Sorry guys! You used to rule. I sent visiting friends to check you out. Now Ill warn them to stay clear. One less sandwich shops in Seattle. Sad.

The Other Coast Cafe is a must visit if you are in the Ballard neighborhood. Their signature sandwich is the Rajun Cajun. Its a little spicy though. If you can take the heat, I suggest you try that as its notoriously their best sandwich however if you prefer something less spicy, their menu is certain to provide a delightful replacement that is still just as enjoyable.

The cost is what always gets me, and eventually my family and I chose to make our own sandwiches at home. We just tried to track down ingredients as close to what they use as possible. I havent been here in about a year but while we lived in Fremont we would drive over here 1-2x a week. I also dislike how they only take cash and have a handy ATM to gouge you with.

I love these ever since an old friend made them for us, but I find it hard to find in the stores. Naturally, I had to try this place. I was not disappointed. Tried a sweet and a savory trumpet...the maple cream butter and the ham and english cheese. Both were great. Only issue is to check the days theyre open. Make sure theyre open the day youre down there.

I have mixed feelings about The Other Coast Cafe. On one hand I love sandwiches and feel this deli does a good job of bringing the "East Coast Deli" feel to the PNW region, but Ive also had some bad experiences here with too much vinegar on the sandwich, etc. If things are better with my next visit I would consider adding a star.

5 minutes after leaving this place Im still thinking about the Cajun sandwich. An hour passes... And Im still thinking about the Cajun sandwich! I came from out of town and stumbled across this gem. I thoroughly enjoyed the food and the service. Truly one of the greatest sandwiches Ive ever eaten. I highly recommend

We live really close to this place and I am in LOVE with it. If you like tuna salad, get the ALBACORE tuna salad on sourdough with mustard and cheddar. SO GOOD! They dont put a ton of mayo in the tuna salad which is how I like it. The other sandwiches there are also really good, nothing fancy.

Our Favorite Go-To for sandwiches in Ballard! There is something about the balsamic dressing (vinegar & oil) they add to the shredded lettuce that makes my favorite Bullet (BLT) sandwich irresistible. Be ready for a wait, especially on Sundays during the weekly Ballard Farmers Market.

The Other Coast Cafe continues to provide the Ballard community with delicious hot and cold sandwiches. Alongside their menu of tasty melts is also a great deli where you can pick up quality meats and cheeses. Rajun Cajun is their shining accomplishment in this reviewers opinion.

Cant go wrong with the Rajun Cajun. Get the 12", enjoy half of it for lunch during the Sunday Farmers Market and then the rest for an afternoon snack. I moved away from Seattle for 4 years and was counting down the days until I would get to enjoy this sandwich again.

Really really good sandwiches! We got both types of their Cajun sandwiches and inhaled them. Their food is good, but its such a small space. Not quite big enough to handle their lunch rush. If you want to eat here for lunch, you may want to do that before 12:30.

Good sandwiches but not worth the wait. Even at 1130am its a 20 minute wait for a tuna sandwich... Uff da! Gave them a second chance today and it took them another 20 minutes to put together a simple tuna sandwich. Never going back.

30 minutes to get a sandwich, and the bread is always sloppy wet with sauce. I gave this place a second chance and it just disappointed a second time. Sad because its in a great spot but just isnt good.

Its too bad that the people working there are so rude, because the food is pretty good. But given the very clear feeling that they just didnt want any customers there, I doubt Id go back.

Put this on your list. The lamb dishes are fabulous. We had a sour cherry martini to begin with and it was excellent. The butternut squash jewel cake for dessert should not be missed.

"A bit expensive, with huge sandwiches, including a NJ-style ""sloppy joe"" (cold turkey/ham with Russian dressing). Half sandwiches are available to reduce distress on the wallet."

I dont write reviews pretty much ever, so thats a testament to how damned delicious that Rajun Cajun was. Easily the best sandwich Ive had in years. Well done guys, well done.

One of my favorite places. The Ragin Cajun is the best sandwich around. I also enjoy their monthly specials that they come up with. Some of them should be permanent.

Ive had a few sandwiches here and none that were less than superb. Suffered minor indigestion upon reading the bill. Recommend the Ragin Cajun and a small loan.

A little cafe in the heart of Ballard. They have great sandwiches and Glass Bottle beverages. The serving sizes are generous and the flavors are exquisite.

Theirs might be my favorite sandwiches in Seattle. Sometimes the service is a little surly but a little bit of hipster tude never killed anybody.

I was in town for a few days at the Swedish Hospital, and tried this place for lunch. I was very happy with the sandwich! Highly recommend

I have always loved other coast. The best sandwich (Rajin Cajun) never disappoints. The spicy mayo is to die for. Worth the price by far.

Fantastic sandwiches bit ton 20 minutes to get them. Was at busy lunch time though, so others also like this place since it was so busy!

You dont come here for the ambiance, you come for the sandwiches. They have very good sandwiches, but nothing beats the rajun cajun.

Limited spots to sit and slow service, but their sandwiches and salads are great. Try Pats Salad -- huge salad with loads of toppings.

Excellent sandwiches! My wife and I had the meatball sandwich and the rajun Cajun sandwich. They were both huge and delicious.

Reasonably priced and the some of the best subs in the city. Good vegetarian selection.
