They seated us and pretty much forgot we were there. Was probably the worst service I have had in many years. I was served a half cup of coffee initially, and it was never refilled the entire hour and half we were there despite several requests. My family left after 30 minutes of waiting for the check, my wife asked for it again and it took anther 15 minutes after that before she brought it to me. Over half the tables were empty. We will never go back. Food was sub par. My eggs were cold.

Breakfast just did not taste fresh at all. We left the place and immediately had upset stomachs. Eggs were undercooked, bland, dry, and did not taste fresh whatsoever. Potatoes were boring, dry, and tasteless. The bacon tasted like it had been sitting in a warmer for hours. We both left our plates 3/4 full, but the sad thing is, we dont think they even got the message. Not going back here again until the food improves drastically.

The scramble I got was overcooked and had little flavor despite being full of chorizo. Long wait times between sitting down and placing order. Long wait times between asking for the check and getting it. Long wait times between putting my card in the folio and getting the receipt to sign. Overall very slow, though friendly, service, especially given the place was mostly empty.

Five years away from Seattle, we were looking forward to visiting the Alki Cafe. Very disappointing, dirty silverware on the table, brought us glasses with slimy gunk on the outside, bathroom was so disgusting I cant speak of it (they need covered garbages if they want you to dispose of sanitary items in them) Dont see us going back anytime soon.

Food was average but reason for low rating is:. Served me my English muffin w individual jelly container that was half used. No remorse by staff, just said shed get me a new one! Thats just awful. Makes me wonder what else is trying to be reused. I understand it was an accident but Rule is if its been on the table its shouldnt be reused!

Worst service ever. We went there , they were not busy took over 15 minutes to just get someone to take our order then they just forgot about us never brought our salad or drinks, and finally we just left because people that got there after were getting served. Very disappointing wont ever go back.

Liked the food the first time I went.... But the second time we were seated and didnt get ANY service for 20 min before we left. The lady who sat us never brought us water even though as she was seating the people around us she was giving them water. Very disappointing

I call this place the Dennys of Alki. The views cant be beat. The service is fast and friendly. The food is standard diner fare. Theres nothing to write home about, but its not terrible by a long stretch. Terrific bloody Marys with bacon.

I have an elderly lady that I take care of every Tuesday and Thursday. At least one, if not both days, she insists on going to Alki Cafe! She really likes Heaster, one of the waitresses.

I love both the seafood and crab omelets. Almost too much to eat. Ive always found the service as excellent. I suppose there are those who would complain about the views from there.

I have serious love of their crab omlette w/ a side of asiago cheese sauce to pour over the omlette & potato slices. Its a beautiful way to start off a weekend morning on Alki!
