By far our new favorite brunch spot! My mother and I randomly stopped at this restaurant for brunch after reading a couple good reviews. We were just looking for a place to eat that was near Green Lake. This restaurant by far blew our expectations! From the moment we walked in we were in awe of the cleanliness of the restaurant, the professionalism that the staff has, quick service, the amazing customer service and the FOOD OMG THE FOOD WAS AMAZING! Just thinking about it makes my mouth water. It was more than just food, it was food cooked with knowledge of how flavors work well with one another, and you can tell that all of the recipes are original and nothing used from a can or box. This is the good stuff and you don’t want to miss out. To be honest its HARD to find a good restaurant now days but this is a diamond in the rough. My favorite was the breakfast sandwich, the bacon that they use is thick and delicious, the tangy mild spice sauce that they put on the sandwich just ties all the flavors together and the red potatoes OMG the red potatoes are seasoned just perfectly. We also tried the biscuits and gravy, you can tell the gravy is done by scratch oh so yummy and make sure you tryout the homemade jam that is on every table, I put it on a slice of French toast Yumm. The portion size is large, we both took food home from our brunch… oh and you can’t beat 2 mimosas for $12!!

Despite good food and sizeable portions, I would not recommend this place to anyone. Seating is so cramped that if someone is sitting on the bar behind you, their behind almost touches your shoulder (shown in pic) Service is terrible: it took far too long to have our order taken, and there were only 3 tables besides us. Both of the servers there spoke very quietly, mumbling and slurring their words so that it was impossible to communicate (especially with the very loud kitchen). Our server never checked back in on us after we got our food to see if it was okay. It took 6 minutes to get our check AFTER our table was CLEARED. The water is served in very childish plastic cups with no ice. Maybe this place would be okay for takeout, but dont bother dining in.

Amazing breakfast and service!!! I will make this my Sunday treat. French toast (half order) $5.25, 2 eggs & 2 slices bacon ( the best bacon ever!!!) $4.25, 2 slices toast $3 (I believe). $12 and change for incredible food and plus I got coffee to go, good coffee (extra $). Checked on twice while eating and greeted when I came in. Staff super nice but not over hovery (is that a word? ;) Came in at 8:30am ish and it was getting busy but still had seating. Really highly recommend!!!

I live a block over from this place. Every time i walk in the door, i stand there for a few minutes before someone finally greets me. The service is usually pretty bad- and the breakfast is good, but not good enough to make up for the unfriendly employees. I walked in this morning for breakfast. I sat at the bar for probably close to 10 minutes and still no one had acknowledged my presence. Sorry, but thats rude. I left and i wont be returning.

On the positive side this place is relatively inexpensive, especially considering the area. It also served breakfast and lunch for those of you that are not big on eggs. On the negative side I would say nothing on the menu really jumps out at being especially good. I would call the food average. Bottom line, stop in if you are just looking for a quick, cheap bite. If you are looking for really good food there are certainly better options.

I came here expecting a regular breakfast place and was blown away. This place gets full and you may end up having to wait for a while, but grab a cup of coffee and stick it out. I had the craziest thing I could find, which was a kind of savory pancake and hammocks. My childrens children will hear of stories of how delicious that meal was.

We come to the dish for bunch almost every weekend, the food is great, the prices reasonable, and the people are wonderful. The addition of mimosas and cocktails has only made a good brunch place even better. If you live in the neighborhood or are looking for an easy going place to grab some breakfast or lunch, look no further.

We are visiting for the weekend and stopped by this place in our neighborhood this morning. The place was charming and the staff was super nice. I had the spumoni omelette which came with potatoes and a scone. It was delicious and the coffee hit the spot. Wish I had this in my neighborhood back home!

Pretty tasty breakfasts here - we enjoyed the eggs and waffles. Its a small place so there are sometimes waiting lines, especially of you go on a Saturday or Sunday. The folks here we friendly and the meal came reasonably quickly. I havent tried it for lunch.

Decent food; so-so service. They seated me quickly at the counter, but it was five or ten minutes before someone took my order, and they werent _that_ busy. Perhaps they were waiting for me to say something. Once the food came, it was fine.

A very rainy Tuesday morning. The sweet young woman behind the counter made us feel welcome and told us where we could hang up all our very wet rain coats. The food was wonderful, our coffee mugs were always full. Great place! !

Very good food. The wait staff is attentive. I went on a weekday morning and it was not too busy. I had the 2 egg breakfast and everything was prefect. I like that avocado is a staple. The scones are huge and very tasty.

A pretty good spot for breakfast. Slightly cramped and a little chilly on a cold day. They are nice enough to put some coffee outside for what is an inevitable wait for breakfast. Worth trying for sure.

A smaller style restaurant with basic breakfast food at high quality. This place had a lot of flavors and the best potato salad I have ever had. The staff was very friendly and the food came fast.

Very good standard diner fare at a very affordable price. Breakfast is consistently good. The wait times and experience of service can be a bit long, and the seating isnt the most comfortable.

My favorite breakfast place. I get the nickos omelet every time. The scones are kinda like a cross between a scone and a coffee cake. Not a greasy breakfast place and the drip coffee is rad.

We come here all the time. Food is hot and good, service is good. Often a wait on the weekend but you can have a coffee outside in the meantime. Solid no frills diner breakfast/brunch.

Fun local brunch place with a soul food menu with a latin flavor. Great music, great way to meet locals. Come with an empty stomach; generous portions!
