I usually refrain from leaving reviews for places because I feel one experience does not define a place and there are always ways to fix a problem. I feel this place is beyond that. Their schtick is being "rude" to customers, but its supposed to be tongue in cheek kind of rude, not actual rudeness. And thats what it was. I was there for Sunday brunch last week with a group of friends. Service seemed ok, nothing too crazy happened. Then we got the bill and our server told us that if we wanted to split the bill, wed have to write what we had down connected to the order and method of payment. We gave the list to the server plus the credit cards/cash. When the bill came back, we noticed the server split the bill evenly between everyone. Felt like the list was a waste of time and I ended up paying $10 more than my portion of the bill. Chicken fried steak there is definitely not $25. I didnt want to fuss in front of the group, so I went about my day and then called back later to resolve the situation when I thought they may not be slammed. When I called in, a male answered the phone. I asked for a manager and he told me there wasnt one on the floor but that maybe he could help. I told him I really needed a manager for this situation, but since he asked me to tell him, I explained everything that happened that day. His response was: "Why didnt you say something then, why dont you get your friend to pay you back, were really busy right now, I cant help you, I know which server it was and Ill talk to her about it, I cant change what she did". I told him that I would just call back at another time. Two days later, I called back and reached a female that identified herself as a manager. I told her everything that happened, and she said she would adjust it for me; she said she would call me back once it was done. I told her I was on my way to work and wouldnt be able to pick up the phone, but I would be happy with an email. She explained that they were a little busy and it may take some time later to fix it. I said it was fine as long as I received a response in a reasonable amount of time, maybe one or two days. Fast forward to today, one week from the initial visit. I call back for an update since I didnt hear from her. The original person on the line picked up the phone from the first conversation. I recognized his voice when I requested to speak to a manager and I identified myself as the person who called last week since he again told me there was not a manager available on the floor, and if he could help me. I was a little hesitant because of how rude he was on the phone the initial time, but I gave it a go and updated him on the situation, asking to see if I can get an update myself since its been a week since the incident. His response was "oh youre that girl again. If she has an update for you, she will call you or contact you." The most ridiculous part was when he said to me "Stop calling this number, I am a server and I dont have time for this, Im busy." Keep in mind I spoke to him twice and a manager once. He implied Ive been calling nonstop or something.... I said to him, "this is a very terrible thing to say to someone, I am just trying to get this resolved and not really nice of you. I asked for a manager and if one is not available I will call another time when one is on duty". What other number should I have called besides the restaurant? He added an "OMG" before I hung up, knowing he would continue to be rude and I didnt want to be harassed for an issue I am trying to resolve. What I dont understand is why he would offer help to if he would not/could not help or react in such a manner. After trying to reach out to them with no avail, I felt it was appropriate to leave a review of such an unfortunate experience.

My friends went in Friday and had a horrible experience with a rude, demented waitress. She ordered customers to sit at the bar, left food in the window as she sat with her friends in a corner and talked, when another customer asked to order (who had been waiting a good while and asked politely, I might add) this woman got in her face and accused her of being dramatic and told her she wouldnt be served, leave. My friends are eating (their order was wrong, to boot) and decide to leave as they were given their check without being asked of they were done (they had planned on dessert, but oh well). To not have to deal with psycho waitress, they left cash on the table and told her keep the change. She told them to go f*** themselves over such a small tip. This place has always had questionable service the half dozen times I visited, but after hearing about this nonsense I decided to review. My personal experience was a 40 minute wait (they werent packed) and then a waitress held a shouting match with a drunken customer over at the bar, our food was cold, incorrect and the drinks were watery - my husband and I put cash on the table, walked out, have not been by since. I understand its a dive and that seedy factor is supposed to appeal, as is their arbitrary right to give as good as they get to the bar crowds - but maybe they should address their staff to not be outright hostile to customers and indifferent towards doing their job.

Recomendable. Very nice place, an old, antique food and beer bar with good rock music by a traditional rockola. Excellent american style food (meat ball and noodles), a large number of draft beers, good coffe, loose and live ambience, irreverent style, people of all types. Good amiable service, simple, fast, efficient. Recommended.

We came to this establishment twice on a 3 day trip because the food was so good. The first experience was quiet pleasant even though they were slammed in the middle of a Seahawks game. This review is about the second experience, where the establishment was not so busy. I wanted to give this place 5 stars so bad because the food is so good and once we finally received service, it was great. But we walked in and were ignored by at least 3 employees who walked right by us; we waited 10 minutes (I am in the service industry so this is not an exaggeration, it was 10 minutes) before my boyfriend had too walk to the end of the bar and ask a bartender who was just standing there if he could clean off the booth in the corner for us. He hesitated to go to both because we quickly learned that had to be the owners sitting there. Luckily another table had just become available and he cleaned it off and sat us there. The reason this situation bothered me so, is that while we were being ignored and begging for service the owners we sitting right there observing the entire situation and said nothing. I would still recommend this place because of the food is great but be bold when trying to get sat or you may never eat.
