This is the best breakfast place I have been to yet. I love going out to eat and never take the time do do reviews but this place deserved it. I was blown away by the food and the 15 min wait just for counter seats was well worth it. It is like a breakfast cusine hidden in a small diner. You walk in and dont expect the quality to be as well as it is but everything was amazing. We had a make your own omlet and the portion size was amazing and cooked to perfection with a scone that was as good as coffee cake (which I love) and then I got the full plate of biscuts and gravy and every bite was moulth watering. I also had a side of corned beef hash, also the best i have had. I would also recomend the fruit as a side on your plate, I got the potatoes and loved it but the fruit is so beautifull to look at and a great selection that i am going to have to try it next time.

Instead of waiting for a table, we sat at the counter and got a full blast of how much of a neighborhood diner Dish is. We were bookended by regulars who literally ordered the "usual" from the waitress. The staff was beyond friendly. After finding out that we were visiting and going to Bumbershoot, our waitress gave us tips for driving and parking at the festival. They have a bunch of hot sauces lined up on a shelf so you can pick your poison. Id recommend the always-delicious Secret Aardvark. It gave the poached eggs + corned beef hash a nice kick. That plate came with a "scone" which, confusingly, looked like a coffee cake but eh. Ate and liked it anyway. We also got an order of biscuits and gravy, which was overkill considering how massive our main portions were. We ate one biscuit and took the other to go, and it was still the best a few hours later.

This place is awesome! The staff was super friendly and attentive. We were sat immediately, brought coffee in less than a minute and our food came out quickly even though they were fairly busy. My bacon was definitely a contender for the best bacon Ive ever had and Ive had my fair share of bacon. The pancakes are huge, I could not finish one and super fluffy. This is a great place to eat if youre looking for home cooked, big portioned tastiness.

I was working in the are and my coworker said this place had the best burgers. he also said it was normally crouded. To our surprise it was empty when we arrived. We walked in and the waitress said "The cockroach Guys!". Puzzled we looked at each other then her. We said no we are here for the burgers. She then was confused and said embarrassed "So your not the cockroach guys?" We informed her no. She then told us they were close and we left.

Server is rude, lazy my order was in the window while she continues to talk about nothing important. Also the pancakes are gross frozen blueberries come on. Krustees brand pancake batter its all in the taste. I hate liars and they dont squeeze their own juice cones from a bottle. Someone needs to give that place a redo it has promise but wont last forever. Quality vs Quantity

I love these ever since an old friend made them for us, but I find it hard to find in the stores. Naturally, I had to try this place. I was not disappointed. Tried a sweet and a savory trumpet...the maple cream butter and the ham and english cheese. Both were great. Only issue is to check the days theyre open. Make sure theyre open the day youre down there.

As tourist, we had no idea what was good. Not the best choice, I had eggs and toast ok. My husband has corn beef hash he said it tasted like it just came out of the can and it was cold. The waitress was very rude when we asked for another min when ordering. Than she acted as if we were an inconvenience to her. I would not return.

This tiny little cafe has more personality than you could ever imagine! There is always a line out the door and yet the wait is short because there are only a handful of tables in this joint. The food is super delicious - anywhere from the breakfast sandwich to the eggs scrambles. Great food!

I have tried other breakfast/brunch places and this one is still the winner. Love their food, make sure you try the scones (covered in cinnamon). It is my favorite! There is usually a waiting but they are fast so its totally worth it. They have chilaquiles with green salsa - mexican style!

3 cheers for COFFEE and sidewalk seating while you wait for your name to be called from the wait list; walk up, scribble your name, and grab some hot coffee from the airpot. The scone was a nice finish for my omelet.

Ive been going to The Dish since 2001, and its always been excellent. The food is hot, tasty, and consistent. They serve great coffee, and the staff love working there. Its just a great experience all around.

Great little breakfast spot. A bit small and usually crowded, but offers generous portions. All-you-can-drink coffee, available even while youre waiting for a seat. Big wall of hot sauces to choose from!

I love Dish and I can walk here. Great for eating alone and the corned beef hash rules. Only issue is..no bloody marys!! They need to get a liquor license to keep up with Northwest brunch!

A solidly consistent great brunch spot in Ballard. Go early to get a spot right away or arrive when you do and enjoy coffee outside. Never had a plate I didnt like. Service is great, too!

My favorite breakfast place Ive tried in Seattle so far. Went on a Sunday morning and the wait was not long at all. Very generous portions and good coffee for a respectable price.

Brunch Man!! Good brunch. It is notable that this diner has good coffee. Tight dining room makes passing tables on the way to the bathroom a lil awkward.

Friendly staff and quick service. The corned beef hash is homemade and comes out nice and crispy! Scrambles are huge, definitely worth the visit.

I am impressed with the selection of its hot sauces. BTW, this place is easily crowded, most of the time there are people lining up outside.

I had biscuits and gravy which were delicious and my lady had a breakfast burrito which was also delicious. Worth the drive, worth the wait!

Unpretentious, diner-style food delivered with friendly service. Their "scones" are almost like coffee cake but definitely worth trying.

Quaint restaurant that feels like eating at home as a child, but your home is hip and wall decorated, and the food is good.
