We went for dinner tonight and it was a awful experience. My dad and I got our drinks right away. My mom, daughter and brother waited around 5 minuets to get theirs. While the waitresses where very nice, it also took forever to get refills and we waited at least 30 minuets to get our food (they were not bussy for the record). Once we finally did get our food after the long wait, I got up to get my daughter a extra plait since be were sharing, it was vile. Absolutely disgusting. I took it back to the take and cleaned it my self with a napkin, it had food still stuck to it and grime. Not really to sure how to describe all the crap stuck to the plate. Once we got our food I wanted to vomit. Im a huge chicken parmesan fan, I get it whenever I go out and it wasnt cooked all the way through. The Speggetie that came along was crap quality that youd get off of a kids menue. My moms food was cold and my dad didnt care for his. The staff was nice and took it off our bill and offered us free dessert. We are not picky eaters and I would usually not leave a review but save your self the trouble and dont go here. Not worth the price at all.

Not a good experience at all. Waitress was rude, didnt get silverware until food came, asked several times for a spoon to stir coffee, had to ask several times for a glass of water, didnt even get our food order right. My biscuits were hard as rocks, the omlette that came with avocado was missing avocados, we asked for extra avocados and also didnt receive any. Never came to our table to refill my coffee. Never brought us the tab. Waitress totally ignored our table and had the coffee pot in hand. Took over 10 minutes for manager to come to our table, and she had to remake our food. We never received our tab. Olivia stepped in several times and helped us because our waitress was nowhere to be found. Olivia is an awesome waitress and was the only reason this place even gets a star. Had high hopes for this place, probably will never come back.

If youre looking for a place for breakfast long after the breakfast hour this place is for you. Black Bear Cafe is committed to excellence. Their commitment to excellence is written on their menu and they hold true to their commitment. The Black Bear team was friendly and consciousness of the needs of their customers. Customers were seated quickly. Orders taken efficiently. Coffee and food great. I was pleased to see healthy options on the menu. My hashbrowns had issues however the Black Bear team made it right which shows their commitment to excellence customer service. Tables were cleared immediately after customer left and floors were swept so no debris was left. Music in the background was upbeat. The Black Bear theme was throughout the restaurant. Recommend checking this awesome place. Family friendly.

My favorite dish is the meatloaf with a baked potato and the bacon green beans. The sodas are huge the portions are huge. A nice diner but the waiters are hit and miss. Ive had times where its practically empty and they cant figure out who is in charge of my table and end up waiting 45 minutes for food because no one takes it from the window. And Ive had times where the waiter is amazing with suggestions and listing all the alternatives options right up front (like how I could get a baked potato instead of mashed- which I completely prefer from now on) and friendly and attentive. So it just really depends. Breakfast is good but dinner is better. Im super happy with the food and service 85% of the time. The soups are good and they make the desserts in-house. Better than sharis or elmers.

Went here for the first time. Good food (amazing parmesan chips) but I doubt Ill ever be back because of one thing... When I ordered my meal, we asked the waitress for some ranch for the french fries (like I would at any other restaurant). When the bill came, I was surprised see a $0.50 charge (x3) for our 3 tiny cups of ranch. REALLY? When paying at the register, I mentioned how I was a bit surprised having to pay for ranch especially since the waitress made no mention of it being extra. I was expecting them to simply take the $1.50 off the bill but instead got a shoulder shrug. Great job guys, you lost a customer over a $0.50 thimble of ranch.

Oh my goodness!!! Just wow :) huge portions very generous and HOT&FRESH. First time here and definitely this is our family place. The kids meals are awesome! The place so welcoming! Little bears everywhere :) price is decent for the amount of food and honestly cheaper then places like Olive Garden! For example I ordered a salmon in Dijon mustard (a huge piece) seasoning, it came with bread, mashed or baked potatoes or fries, with soup, and a huge portion of vegetables! Yum yum yum all for just 14.99!!!!! My husbands dish was an enormous pulled pork sandwich with fries twice as much as red robins basket size!;) just a great experience

My husband ordered the ny strip steak breakfast but when it came the strip steak was full of gristle though perfectly cooked. My husband let his waitress Veronica know and she took it away to replace. To our surprise and delight she returned a little later with a large Rib Eye steak and explained that the chef had taken a closer look at their NY Strips and saw they were all gristly and so they didnt want to serve an inferior product. Kudos! We will definitely be coming back with this type of attitude displayed. I would definitely recommend others to eat here.

Honestly because of the good reviews decided to try this place again, not realy satisfied the last time we had gone. Decided to give it a one more chance, the waitress was friendly, but being that their were only 3 other tables full, youd think the waitress would be more attentive with coffee and such, but she seemed to like talking to her coworkers more. The food looked good but to plain for me toast was Grose, I had to ask for country gravey just to make it edible. I will not be going here again, sad to say sherie is better.

Waitress: Brianna Location: Gresham, OR Food was good, but had cooled some by the time it was served. Had to wait several minutes for silverware. Waitress did not refill coffee for several minutes after cups were completely empty.. Waitress did not inquire about taste of food. Creamers were covered with sticky substance. BBDs are cash cows when run correctly. This one did not appear to be operating anywhere near its potential. There is a problem at this facility that is not being addressed by the management.

Ive been going to Black Bear for breakfast at least once a month for the last year. The food is top notch and Ive had consistently quality service from every waitress that has served me. I personally prefer to cook my own breakfast, but the times I choose not to this place makes me feel at home. This is my go-to breakfast place for all my family and friends that visit. Also, the food portions are more than the average person can consume in one sitting which is just awesome. I love this place.
