I chose this place because the amazing reviews. I was prepared for a wait, but also for some breakfast. The wait for our table was ~15mins. Not horrible. They have lots of seating in their waiting, so that was nice. However, I was disappointed that their breakfast menu is not available all day like their site stated. Our server was very personable, but it took over half an hour from the time we ordered until we got our appetizer. We ordered the Buzzfeed Nachos, biscuits and gravy, and chicken fried steak. The nachos were HUGE. They are an appetizer more suited for a table for 6 than a table for two. Two adults could easily fill up on one order (and probably have some left over). We ordered them with the pork and I thought it was really good. The nachos are on kettle cooked potato chips. While I enjoyed the ultra crunchy texture, this may be something to avoid if you have bad or weak teeth. The biscuits and gravy were also freakishly large. Seriously, bring a friend when you come here and plan on splitting. The biscuit was okay not as good as the ones grandma used to make by a long shot, but not terrible. Their gravy pretty standard white gravy, a little lumpy, but we were there in the afternoon. I imagine it had been sitting around for a bit. The hash browns were good, but my scrambled eggs were a little overdone. Overall it tasted like something you get at Dennys at 2am, but I wasnt drunk enough to properly enjoy it. The chicken fried steak was pretty standard. Like the biscuits and gravy, it had the very muted flavor of a chain breakfast spot. Overall, I do not think we will be back. TL:DR Pros: Wait staff HUGE portions Low Price Yummy Nachos Cons: Wait Biscuits and gravy Chicken Fried steak Inaccurate website

The food here is fantastic for the price! My wife and I have gone twice before leaving this review. Having worked in the restaurant industry for over 10 years, the foh service here blows my mind. They operate with so little staff that both times we have visited, customers have been waiting in the lobby for over 20 minutes to sit with multiples tables open. The second time we came in, we were told a large party was ordering in the back, so we put in our order in less than two minutes. Instead of communicating this with the kitchen, the partys order came first and we waited over an hour for our food with our 8 month old. The order was wrong, and both times weve visited I have had to walk up to the front counter to ask for water or service. Having explained our love of their food, yet dissatisfaction with service, there was no offer to comp anything or make it right. They just gave us an excuse about how busy they were. As a restaurant professional, I know there are many solutions for creating a happy return guest in this situation. Half of the restaurant was empty....we will not return here, which is very unfortunate given the quality of the food.

First this is the service was EXCELLENT! The food was FANTASTIC, and the portions were plentiful! Some people have said the wait could be between 30 to 60 minutes, but we were seated in less then 10 minutes. The Sweet Tea is very good, but not as good as my Moms. Josh ordered their freshly squeezed Oj. My son ordered the BBQ Pull Pork Sandwhich which had coleslaw. It also came with sweet patato fries. Josh loved every bite of it. i had their Biscuits and Gravy with hash browns and two eggs over easy. It was AMAZING! We both also had a side of grits with butter and brown sugar. Other than my Moms recipee these are the best grits I have ever had. All together my bill came to $28.65 and adding tip it came to an even $35 dollars. We left satisfied and full. Next time I will try their Chicken and Waffles with a side order of the Shrimp Grits. I would recommend this establishment to any Southerner now living in the Pacific Norhwest! If I could I would give this place 6 out of 5 stars. I was told that the best time to go when it isnt as crowded is on Saturday mornings at 8 am and on Thursday afternoons.

Have gone here in total 3 times. First time was with a group of friends and it was enjoyable and the food was good. Second time I came in with a friend and we sat in the bar area. Took 10 minutes for our drinks to come out after we ordered them, another 10 waiting for server to take our food orders and half an hour more for the good itself to come out. Ive worked restaurants and bars for years and could understand if it was busy, but this day it was slow. As slow as the servers. Last time I came here with the same friend and also another friend. It was busy so we were seated to wait, which is fine. But the two groups who came in after us were both giving drink and food orders before us. Also saw my drink I had ordered at the counter for five minutes before finally being brought to me. When the food came out it really was good, but the servers do not have a sense of urgency when it comes to taking care of customers.

For starters the wait was 35 minutes. There was no room inside, which was fine since they had the air conditioner blasting and it was super cold inside. The wait at the table was 1 hour after we ordered our food. There were two large tables that were empty and they would not sit other customers that were waiting for a table. The food was SALTY. I ordered the biscuits and sausage gravy with scrambled eggs and diced red potatoes. I wish they would specify theres onions and peppers sautéed with them. I hate potatoes cooked that way. Would have gone with hash browns. I ordered an andouille sausage on the side which I didnt get with my meal but at leaving when the waitress apologized for the mistake ( thats why 2 stars, otherwise 1 star) not worth the wait. The coffee cost as much as Starbucks, $2.50! thats irritating. The food was average at best no different or better than IHOP :/ not likely to return.

This was our first time here. Everything was going well until an issue popped up on my phone which turned a fairly nice morning, into a very tense and sad state in minutes. I would like to thank the ladies that were working that morning, who took our order, delivered the food when it was ready, and gave my husband to go boxes because it was obvious that he was pissed and the tears falling from my face were quite prominent. We did however stay, and ate a lot. Talked more and enjoyed the food and our company. Chicken Fried Steak, looked dry, but was moist and delicious and my husband ate all his red potato, bell pepper and onion mix. I ate one slice of my HUGE two slices of French Toast, my side of spam and his side of eggs over easy. Thank you again ladies, much love that day.

I lived in the UP for 5 months now, by far this is the best restaurant Ive encountered. My server wa Donica (sorry for calling you Donna) was wonderful, in fact all the staff encountered during our visit was amazing - worth the 40 min wait. My wife ordered the pull pork sandwich w/ sweet potato fries, which she told me was great. I ordered the biscuit, fried chicken thigh with gravy and fries and was very satisfied. We also order two apps which were fried chicken gizzards and okra came with tater sauce which I thought was weird until I tried it snd it tasted good. One bit of warning to all...portion size are large! and prices are spot on. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone for excellent service and food quality.
