Five stars for brunch, but only four for dinner. Brunch: Not very crowded on a Saturday morning. We had a chance to play shuffleboard at the deserted shuffleboard tables upstairs while waiting for our party. Service was very quick and friendly and offered several suggestions. Im not normally a big juice fan, but the tropical spice one was perfectly balanced between spicy and bright. The pork congee was delicious. Though the main body of the dish was a bit spongy like grits or oatmeal, the pork and Chinese doughnuts added a good crispy and crunchy texture. The veggies and sauces also brought good flavor throughout and by the end I was stuffed. The skillet hash was the standout though, complete with a fried egg on top. The veggies and meat were very crispy and had great flavor that shone through and the skillet was cool. Dinner: Much more crowded after work on a weekday so a reservation was in order. The staff was just as friendly and helpful and even suggested other places to try for dessert if we were in the mood for something different. The beer selection was decent, but very hoppy. The pancakes were a nice appetizer and the sauce was very tasty. The chicken katsu was a bit bland though. The meat at the top was tasty and had good sauce, but it didnt make it through all the rice and by the end it was essentially just white rice.

Good food, the usual sky-high noise level in Seattle restaurants. Wednesday night, sat at the food prep counter and were very comfortable watching the chefs and the baseball, but the waiter was overattentive. We were already talking among ourselves about what to order, didnt need instructions on unfolding the menu, and he kept interrupting us. At one point, I swear to god, someone stuck his arm across my face, an inch from my nose, to top up my mostly full water glass while I was turned sideways talking to my friends. He (probably not the waiter) did say "Excuse me, Im refilling your water." What is it anyway about filling water glasses to the brim throughout the meal? Can we wait until the glasses are half full (or half empty, even?) Hard-working guys, but we were trying to talk with friends who travelled a great distance to see us and we wanted to show off one of Seattles new restaurants. The sqid was rubbery, but had a nice spicey-herby sauce. The rice and meat dish was good, and I liked the addition of greens. We might try the restaurant again, but maybe by ourselves. Instead of conversing, well drink all the waiters favorite cocktails.

I go here when friends insist. That doesnt happen too often. Pros: * The space is really interesting. There is fun decor, on theme, and there seem to be shops above and around you. * Different food. The meal I recall eating there when I went last was the Chicken Katsu Omelet. When it was delivered to me there were flakes of onion atop the meal that positively quivered in the heat. Cons: * The food. Sad to say, but I dont come away satisfied after leaving this restaurant. My last visit here (Google tells me 4 months ago) I struggled to finish what was on my plate. The price per quality of food is just not here to justify a higher rating than this.

Feel like this place is confused on what it wants to be. Food quality in the beginning was good, now its a hit or a miss. Last time we had the chicken noodle soup/ramen thing. Noodles were way too soggy. Dont know why they changed that dish up so much. I liked it the way it was when they first opened. They said they couldnt call it a "ramen" because too many snobs claimed it wasnt real ramen. But, in fact I thought it was a wonderful less fatty version of what you get at other places. Anyways, I hope they up their quality again and stick to consistency.

The vegetarian broth was the best my girlfriend has had "ever", she says. Shes a vegan; but, even I tried it and it was better than mine, which contained a lovely bit of buoyant belly (of the pork variety). Also, we tried a flight of their shochu, a distilled libation as opposed to the fermented sake, which was a great substitute, since they were currently out of their Bambi cup sake, of which you get to keep the glass (thus the missing fifth star). The atmosphere was warm and cozy for an open concept restaurant in the Assembly Hall--do it. Go.

The menu items are priced a touch on the higher side, with $17 ramen and ~$12 cocktails. However everything we had was delicious and true to their authentic flavours even though they were fusions. Our ramen was incredible, my sake cocktail was tasty and the fried gyoza came with a vinegar based dipping sauce that paired very well. Fusions can be hit or miss but this place does it well. This restaurant is a fun place to go for date nights or group dinners. It has a great ambiance and little Godzilla decorate tables and roof beams.

That was a blandest ramen I have ever had the misfortune to eat. Everything about it was generic and tasted like it came out of a plastic bag I couldnt have bought at Safeway for a tenth of the price. They also change an automatic 20% service charge, and while the food did arrive quickly, the service was not worth 20%. The waitress was impossible to find when we needed her (drink refills, check, etc) and only came by the table once after wed order. If Id been able to choose the tip percentage, it sure as hell wouldnt have been 20%.

After hearing about the hype of this restaurant, I decided to try this place out with my boyfriend. Unfortunately, my experience here was unpleasant. I felt that the food was over price for the portions they serve you, and I honestly did not get my moneys worth coming here for dinner. I was very disappointed and upset that the food did not appeal or fill me up for the night. Not to mention, that our server did not say anything about an automatic 20% added to my bill for tip? Very upset with my experience here.

Overpriced food. I didnt like the service there. The server seated us and asked to me and my friend, "there is 20% service charge included in the bill. Are you okay with this?" I just hated that she was asking me this as I was sitting down - if I said no, would she kick me out? What a stupid question to ask at the time of getting seated and before seeing the menu. Also, the food Ive got was good but definitely felt overpriced for a small salmon lunch bento for 20 dollars + tax + 20% included tip charge.

We came in around 7:30pm Thursday night and there was no waiting. Our server quickly took care of us and brought the food out in a timely manner. Cocktails were great and food was amazing! It was our first time dining here and will definitely be back again! Price wise... Well, two cocktails, a large entry, and two appetizers came to be about $100.00. I liked that the tip was included and the server was upfront about it. Im not a fan of surprises at the end. Not the cheapest but definitely worth the cost.

Food was very good but service could be improved and it was very noisy. I ordered some spicy peanuts with a cocktail, then ordered a main course. The cocktail arrived quickly but then I waited for about 10 minutes failing to attract the attention of a waiter and finally gave up and finished my cocktail. The peanuts were then served together with the main course... At that point I got 2 more people to ask me if I am fine and if I need anything else, while I no longer needed anything else.
