The only reason to visit this restaurant is to have the pasta. If I ever go back I will order a big bowl of Tajarin al ragu (thin pasta with meat sauce). This is one the best pastas I had this year. The antipasti is comparable good to other restaurants. Beware, their main dishes (secondi) are inedible. The quail was butchered by a novice and the meat was tough and chewy, the blueberry and mushroom sauce sounds good, but the ingredients dont go well together. The rabbit meat tasted like dry chicken. Overall this is the worst quail and rabbit I had in my life. This is our first time at this place, most patrons around us only had the pasta, they made a fine choice.

We love this place... but unfortunately someone must have been sick in the kitchen on Valentines, as both my wife and I got a nasty bug that night and have been sick ever since. (Since we dont go out much, its really tough not to place the blame - after 10 years together weve never contracted the same illness on the same day until that night) 5 stars, otherwise, but $350 on dinner for two is too much to get sick. Keep any of your sick employees at home, any time they have a bug! It leaves a tarnished memory in your head, regardless of how good the food tasted... and it kills your brand.

This place was awesome.Despite it being super busy we got in fairly quickly and while we were waiting we enjoyed watching them make pasta by hand. Most delicious pasta weve ever eaten, all cooked perfectly al dent. The truffle sausage special was a flavor weve never experienced, the gnocchi was perfectly sized and cooked, and their bologna sauce was the tastiest red sauce weve ever tried. It was also fun to listen to all the staff talk with their Italian accents and sometimes in Italian to each other as well. Five stars hands down.

Seattle has a lot of great restaurants but Spinasse was the highlight of our trip. It is a Northern Italian restaurant so the menu is hearty. My boyfriend is from Mlian and he said this place could easily be a successful restaurant in Italy. The pastas were unbelievable, so even though there are so many delish starters to try, save room for the main attraction. We loved the prosciutto starter, which could easily feed 5 people, and the stuffed zucchini blossoms. If you can get a reservation, Spinasse is a must!

I heard this place gets really busy on the weekends so we stopped by today (Tuesday). Not expecting to get in, we lucked out and the hostess sat us at the bar. Our waitress name was Nisa. She was outstanding. Super nice and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. She suggested alot of the things we ordered which was not disappointing. I dont ever eat desserts but ordered them anyway. Dont know if anyone can top the semifreddo or the sorbetto. Thanks Nisa for your classy service.

We went here for dinner at the beginning of November 2015. Spinasse balances the simple and rustic decor with a cozy atmosphere. The appetizer sampler was a smart option for two with an interesting mixture of vegetables, cheeses, meats, and salad. The bread was fresh and fluffy, but no butter or oil was served. We had an excellent mushroom pasta dish and a scallop plate. I am not sensetive to salt but the dishes were exceedingly salty, so the overall experience looses a star.

I went to Spinasse with a few friends to celebrate graduation. The staff was very attentive, kind and professional. We were given a seat cushion for my friends daughter, so she could sit comfortably. The food was AMAZING! It was my first time at a restaurant near this caliber. We spent about 3 hours here enjoying each other company. They had perfect wine recommendations. Overall an amazing experience and reward for 4 year of hard work in university.

First off, the food is amazing. Everything from antipasta to dessert was delicious. However, the service was lacking. Unfortunately, this seems par for the course in Capitol Hill: delicious, but pricey food with lackluster service. I would recommend sitting at the bar to see the food preparation. Be sure not to sit in front of the register though, unless you want to hear about the wait staff getting stoned and complaining about customers.

Ive only had a limited menu so far and Id certainly rate it very good, but not great. The flavors are mostly complimentary, but the tagliatelle with duck and cranberries had too much sweet/tart from the cranberries. The wine selection is well thought out and reasonably priced for what they are. Overall portions are appropriately sized so you can sample various dishes, but on the pricey end.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Seattle! We went on a date night and were sat at a marbles table next to the window. Our waitress was so sweet and helped us through the menu. We ended up with an amazing wine that paired with the rabbit meat balls and mushroom ragu. The overall vibe was very open, friendly, and gay-friendly. We will always stop by.

Home made pasta and home made meatballs along with pork belly? Yes please. This place is very trendy, but consistently has the best service and Italian food in Seattle. Oh and they have one hell of a wine list as well. Come here with a group, otherwise sit at the bar where you can actually have a nice view of the kitchen where you might learn something.

Lunch approximately $8.50 for two item with lo mein and a drink. Noodles tasted not so great to me, chicken and sweet sour pork wasnt too bad. I have been here about 5 times. Very filling and has a variety to choose from. Arrive early because when lunch time ends at 2:30 the food looks like it has sat around for too long

Service is really stellar. We actually came here because a few people in our party have various dietary restrictions that we knew they could accommodate. As a result, we didnt have any of the pastas, but the salads and contorni are all fantastic. I highly recommend the sauteed broccoli, sauteed spinach, and beans.

Theres a reason that their Tajarin al ragù o burro e salvia or fine hand cut egg pasta with ragù or butter and sage was recently featured as the front cover picture for Seattle Metropolitans Best Restaurants issue. Do yourself a favor and experience this and the other gems on Spinasses menu as soon as possible.

Fantastic and authentic piedmontese cusine topped up by a great service and amazing wine list! Me and my wife are from Piedmont and can testify about the quality of the ingredients and the care in the preparation of each dish. We felt back at home for an evening. Try the tajarin and you wont be disappointed ;)

This where my husband and I go for special occasions and it never disappoints. However, I will say that the pasta is the real star, I usually pass on the secondi courses. The atmosphere and ambiance are very romantic and I love that theyve expanded and now have a bar next door to have a drink while you wait.

This is indisputably the best pasta in Seattle. No words other than fantastic. Every pasta dish Ive ever had here was fantastic. My wife and I start off with the antipasta "flight" which always has a really good mix, and then we get several half plates of different pastas to share. Perfect date night.
