We finally were both around on a weekday and had time to go downtown to check this place out. I am so glad we did. It absolutely did not disappoint! When we go there a line was out the door and up a couple business doors down. Once you got inside there was another line (a little longer than the one outside) waiting to put your order in at the back of the restaurant. The tables are mostly family style that are mainly 4 seaters, with a few 2 seaters. So if youre a party of 3 you family style it up next to a couple at a 4 seater (extra chairs are available) . It moved fairly fast. The door states the rules: 1. Order food at counter 2. Take seat after ordering at the counter. 3. Bus your own table. 4. Enjoy lunch! It took us about 30-40 minutes to get to the counter to order. We ordered the focaccia bread, a cookie, the fusili pasta with hazelnut pesto sauce and the spicy baked pasticcio. We got the focaccia and the cookie when we ordered and used the water pitcher up front to get a couple glasses of water. Youll want to grab your water, silverware and napkins before sitting down so you dont have to push through the line more than once. We took a seat and our food came pretty quickly. All of the food was amazing. The focaccia had a nice cheesy crust on top and the olive oil to dip it in was really good. Both pasta dishes were so delicious. They actually complemented each other well as the pasticcio was heavy and rich and the fusilli was nice and light. We took the cookie to go and havent eaten it yet, but it looks yummy! I will absolutely try to go back!

*** In Short *** Flavorful, authentic, handmade pastas that change daily. *** In Depth *** Youll probably have noticed a trend by now, but this past Seattle trip was definitely a, "lets go to all the places Ive been meaning to go to and havent," one. Il Corvo has been a long time coming, having been on my bookmarks since the days I lived in Seattle. But the inconvenience of the lunch rush and their not being open at night has always been a struggle. Well, that and the front door, but more on that later. The two options they still had left by the time we arrived were their lumache (a bolognese) and calamaretti (a frutti di mare), so the three of us went ahead and ordered those. Now, before I start, Ill throw out this disclaimer: Im not a fan of al dente pasta, authentic it may be. Coming from an Asian background, al dente simply tastes undercooked to me, which detracts from the experience a bi-- lot. And theirs was perfectly al dente. Flavor-wise, there was plenty of it, and it being flavor and tastiness, but their bolognese did have a strange gritty quality to it, which I found a little distracting. ***Accessibility Info*** Venue - While the inside of the restaurant is fine for accessibility, theres a somewhat high step to get through the front door. For some, this might not pose an issue, if the front door was propped open, but, Il Corvo is also on a fairly steep hill, which makes getting enough traction and momentum to hop the stop fairly difficult. In other words, bring a friend. Bathroom - Didnt try them.

My S.O. has been raving this place to me for a long time, so I finally decided to check it out with him this week. The first thing I saw was the restaurant was pretty tight and filled with people - the line ran in the middle of the building and there were probably about 8 people in front of us. I noticed that the cashier would stop taking orders for a bit to see how much space is available, before taking orders again. This was a pretty interesting concept, since they try to ensure that the people that order have space to eat. After around 15min, we reached the cashier. My S.O. said to get the bolognese and the shortbread cookies sandwich, so I did. We sat down and I tried the cookie sandwich - super good, I loved the slight lemony taste of the cookie and that the filling wasnt overly sweet. 5/5 would get again. After maybe 5 minutes (these people are fast - make sure you listen for your name), our pasta came! After a few food pictures (ofc), I dug right in. The pasta was great, it was the perfect texture and chewiness. Now the sauce was good, but it kind of reminded me of a Chinese meat sauce. It was more of a meat taste than a tomato taste, so I like how unique it was. Overall, love this place. For $10 you get some damn good pasta!! Next time, I probably would try a different pasta dish to find the one that matches my palette better. :) Beware, apparently most of the time the wait is 30min+. I went around 1:15pm and the wait was okay.

This is by far the most busiest tourist attraction Italian restaurant I have seen so far! I literally waited almost an hour and half to try there infamous pasta!!! It was worth it at the end of the visit. If I were to go again I would definitely pick a day that I will be willing to wake up early and wait in line before the place open. There restaurant hour is pretty short but I dont see it surprising at all. Its from 11am to 3pm! After waited for an hour when me and my friend were in the restaurant lol you still have to wait until you get to the front to order your food! They have daily specialties or something. I ordered one of them "forgot the name" but it was delicious. There home made bread was great too very soft and buttery in every bite. They should be thinking of expanding their business! The restaurant isnt that big. Anyway! The price is very affordable for some freshly made Italian pasta ! If you are a big eater I would recommended order two order pasta and a side of there handmade bread. :) Oh and friendly cashier who took my order because I really have no clue how to say there item on there menu! Haha!

If you like "pasta", as in the noodles portion of your Italian dishes then this is the spot for you! Fresh pasta is served with simple sauces to highlight the goodness of fresh noodles and other interesting shapes you cant pronounce. This place is BUSY and you have to bus your own table. Not exactly the best place to sit down and have a relaxing time. Its bustling, yo. I recommend identifying peak hours and promptly avoiding them. The prices are really good for the quality. I recommend getting the $1 side of spicy whatever sauce thing. The bread was also soft and perfect. The shortbread cookie confection was also good (I ate too much). Take a look at the photos of the food here, they dont lie- in fact, they brag.

I am not a big fan of pasta but Il Corvo exceeded my expectation, went there for lunch break and the place was packed with people wanting to order their famous house-made pasta. There were only 3 pasta dishes, I ordered gigli (not sure of the name) my coworker ordered the bolognese and both were incredibly tasty. I think their secret is the pasta itself, it really absorbs their sauce without becoming too lose. Thanks to Il Corvo, i have am willing to eat pasta again ( if it was made by them :p) PS: The place only opens during lunch hour and when their pasta is done they close, so make sure to go their around 12pm to order and find a place to sit.
