I should have been warned, but I had to feed relatives from out of town who rejected Asian food. I figured Italian was a solution. Id never eaten at Cuigini, but it looked nice. Unfortunately, the food was awful! The cannelloni were dreadful. Thick ridged pasta slabs drowned with mediocre tomato sauce. I saw little difference between the cannelloni and the manicotti, though perhaps the cannelloni were made from broken pieces of manicotti. They should be ashamed! One relative ordered BBQ ribs, which were artistically drizzled with mustard. Disgusting. The mashed potatoes were ok, but for $24, it was outrageous! The nicest part of the place is the list of alcoholic beverages. Apparently, one needs to be drunk to appreciate the food.

Casual Italian Restaurant. Living in the East Bay it often becomes difficult to find good Italian. This place was a hit for me from the start. Being completely honest I usually play it safe when it comes to food, so the first thing I ordered was their pizza of the week. The pizza came with Sausage, Pepperoni, and a great mix of vegetables. The second time I did the Rosemary and Potato pizza, which was cooked just perfectly. Also my girlfriend would kill me if I didnt say how phenomenal their Caesars Salad is; so try that.

I wish Cugini were better; Solano Ave could use this kind of friendly Italian restaurant, and the food is okay. The pizzas can even be good. But it took more than an hour tonight to get our tables three pizzas, and the restaurant was barely filled. Our waiter ignored us once we had our appetizers. And they built a tip into the check because we had a "big party"--four adults and a child. So, fine if you just want a decent pizza, arent in a rush and dont mind having to wave to get your waiters attention.

Had a great time here for mothers day. We didnt have a reservation, but we were early so they were able to find us a nice table by the window. I had the Cugini calzone, husband had the pesto gnocchi, Mom had Fettuccine Alfredo, and Dad had Meatballs. Everyone loved their food. The service was friendly and quick. This is a family run place and has been a staple on Solano for over 20 years.

Good, fresh tasting Italian/ American. We once had a great calzone, the next time we ordered the same it was not so great. Everything else is consistently good and its a good value. Their drinks are a bit pricey. Staff is a hit or miss, usually short-- they do get fairly busy. A nice date spot.

The Michael pizza used to be great, its not that great anymore and for $24.00, I am encouraged to go somewhere else, get back to what made you great and stop jacking up your prices for less quality food.
