Went to the Red Mill because of all the hype on the internet. We entered with high hopes because we were slightly disappointed in the Crab Pot the night before. We dropped over $20 for lunch for two. We ordered 2 lrg drinks, 2 onion rings, a red onion burger and a bacon burger. Red Robin, or even Carls Jr. does a better burger. The bacon didnt taste fresh, and the bun a little dry. As for the onion rings, they were good, but certainly not the best I ever had. The thing they have going for them is they are juicy, but if you dont like the taste of cornmeal, you wont enjoy these. Service was good, no line no waiting; parking is tight to say the least, but we did find a spot at 1 PM in the afternoon, as well as a place to sit. If the Man vs Food guy thought this was a great meal, then he is too easily impressed.. and he should come to my house for dinner!

They know how to make a satisfactory base-line standard burger, and they do the basics well enough, but if generic cookie cutter burgers arent your style then this place isnt for you. Their shakes might have fancy names, but dont be fooled, there is nothing fancy about them either. Mandarin Chocolate just tastes like chocolate without a hint of mandarin, and Creamsicle is just plain vanilla. I went there with a craving for a good shake and left less than satisfied. Its also worth noting that if you dont carry cash that you wont be able to eat here, shy of visiting the nearest sketchy ATM, since they do not accept debit/credit cards. This is the kind of place Id only visit again if a friend had their heart set on eating there with me for some unfathomable reason. There are places you can get more bang for your buck out there.

The biggest problem I have with Red Mill Burgers at Interbay or anywhere else? The bland as sawdust meat they use. This is a faux retro "burger joint" inspired by Pottery Barn and Restoration Hardware catalogs. Indeed they have the look down pat, too bad the burgers are aggressively mediocre. They might look and sound tasty, but when you bite in you might as well have bought a 3 for .99 burger at the AM/PM down the street. Ridiculously overrated by a generation of sheeple, when someone tells you this is the best burger ever, distrust all future food advice from this person. p.s. It seems like every time I am dragged here, people in line ogle at the 2 foot brick of bacon. Its super gross people, not a good thing.

Overall I would say that for every one burger that is pretty good, there is one burger that is not good. I go here time and again, most of the people I know do, because the burger patties are much better than average. But everything else is very spotty. Every visit some error occurs. Normally its either the fries or the tartar sauce that the teenaged employees forget to add (LOOK THROUGH YOUR TAKE-OUT BAG BEFORE LEAVING), sometimes the shake is made poorly, often the sandwich order is messed up or something isnt included in the burger that should be. I used to love this place, but now, after years of such consistently poor service ..... eh. A business should do better.

< $10 for a full meal consisting of the best vegetarian burger I have ever had in my life. Red Mill is a must visit for any veggie burger lover. I have non-vegetarian friends who become vegetarian just to have the Verge Veggie burger. Must haves: Verde Veg Burger. They close a little early for Seattle standards and accept only cash. They are also busy during dinner time on most days. But, trust me - if you get a chance, have the verde veggie burger and you will not be disappointed. This is not exactly a sit-down atmosphere. Although, you will get a booth (for a large group) and a couple chairs if you wait a while.

I got the chicken sandwich with mill sauce and a creamsicle milkshake. The chicken was very bland and only on one side of the sandwich, effectively making it half of a chicken sandwich and half a lettuce and tomato sandwich. The mill sauce, a "smoky" mayo, was unremarkable and bland. The creamsicle milkshake tasted like straight up vanilla. My husband got the "mandarin" chocolate, and there was not even a hint of mandarin orange flavor, just chocolate. The two stars are for good customer service, a nice atmosphere, interesting decor, and good music. Its a shame the food was disappointing.

I love a good burger. I love onion rings even more. I initially saw this place on an episode of Man vs. Food, and had to try it when I moved here. And it did not disappoint. The burger was quite tasty, and the onion rings were AMAZING. They were not the normal, greasy onion rings, but light, crispy, and delicious. The shake was quite good as well. Not a place to go to all the time (I dont want to know the calorie and fat count of what I ate!), but its really great if youre craving a burger and nothing else will do.

Love it, love it, love it. IMO no burger place compares to RedMill. I live in West Seattle and will make a pilgrimage to this mecca on a regular basis. Only 4 stars because of the parking, cash only and i dont reallu like their award winning onion rings(i think my tates buds are sensitive cause i can taste the minerals from the batter). But a must if you are visiting Seattle or lucky enough to live here. Dont forget to check out that stack of bacon, it will make your heart stop...just for a moment.

The worst service of my life!!...drive 5 hours from walla walla and expecting the holy grail of burgers as seen on multiple travel channel shows to stand in line for 30 minites for them to tell us that they only have enough bacon for one burger paid for condiments that were not given to us and when asking for the others paid for was snottily snubbed out the door with "we didnt get that on ur bill have a great evening! " TOTALLY OVERATED HORRIBLE STAFF N SERVICE!!

While there is nothing special about these burgers, they are definitely special! I had a veggie burger (I dont eat hamburger) and I cant tell you why it was so good, it just was. There is a reason this is in the list of top burger joints in all of America. They do it right. And for cheap! I think it was only $6.50 for a great burger and if you phone in your order your can skip the line of other people waiting for a great burger.

Like the guy below, you cant say anything good about a burger with such poor quality beef. The best part was the tartar sauce for the onion rings! I think BK can do a better job on burgers though. Plus, it ran like close to $40 for 3 people. The NW doesnt have the best beef supply, but they can spend 10-20 cents more/pound to get a little bit better quality ground chuck.

Only went because of all the hype from Man V Food. Wont lie, the burgers are amazing, but than again, you can get amazing burgers at so many places in Seattle. The bacon was TDF! Love that small cut, oily, skinny, crispy type bacon on a burger. Very crowded; shoulder to shoulder traffic in there. I would recommend, but not at the top of the list.
