I went here for Valentines Day with my girlfriend. Realized I hadnt written an actual review. First off this location is pretty cool, beautiful views of daily Seattle life. The decor is stunning, and the wait staff looked sharp! We were served promptly, the waiter was attentive and knowledgeable about both menus. We ordered drinks which were delivered quickly along with our appetizer. The only 2 reasons this place loses a star is because, while we were dining one of the wait staff had some trouble opening a bottle of wine at the podium, instead of taking the bottle out of the main room to try to open it they had 3 men surrounding the podium, one of which was using a large kitchen knife to try to open it. They got it but defiantly caused a disturbance doing so. Secondly the food was delicious dont get me wrong. But it was only just barely hot when it came out, like it had been sitting out for 10 minutes. My food ended up being cold before I had a chance to work my way around the plate. Crab cakes dont taste so great cold. So overall the place was great and I will defiantly return. This all seemed like circumstantial issues so Ill give them the benefit off the doubt. But my food was cold so I have to judge a little harshly.

OK TIP: Come after five and get happy hour, validate your parking, BOOM, free parking for the night. Your welcome. EDIT FOR THE MANAGER: OK, your right, Let me rant about the Happy Hour. 1) you got an all night happy hour, shouldnt it be call happy meal then? 2) Great prices, Under $10 for pizza, or meatballs, etc.,. 3) Rotating menu, never gets dull 4) awesome beer and wine selection 4) ambiance, you on the top floor of Rainier square, over looks the outs 5th ave. 5) location, OK, I gave you the Tip for parking, you do know that your in the middle of the Shopping District right? Free parking (not really free, you had to buy something at Palominos, but free with purchase of beer, note I like Beer). There you Go Marci, an Official Review for you guys, and Im keep it at 5 stars, In my eyes Palominos is a Seattle Staple, an Iconic location that been here for while, and Ive been coming for a while, and will continue because of the consist excellence of service.

Palomino is a chain, with several restaurants spread across the US. I have eaten at a few of their locations, most frequently in Los Angeles. And as with all thriving chain restaurants, they succeed because they deliver the goods - mostly in the form of constancy. A meal at one location will not differ from the same meal at a different location. Palomino delivers that constancy AND adds tasty meals. The Seattle location offers the added benefit of being a few stories above street level so you also get some view. We were there Christmas Eve. (On our way home from SeaTac, after picking up visiting family.) The staff accommodated us last minute, gave us an excellent table, an even better waiter, and then served us that aforementioned tasty meal. Well, meals. And they did it all with smiles. On Christmas Eve. Bless em. :-)

YES! It FINALLY had to happen! I gave a place a full 5-stars! You MUST be wondering "What the hell?!?!" For me to give 5-stars, they must have been serving kyptonite laced drinks or something! Well, damn near! This place is absolutely beautiful with the way its laid out. I dont know if it was by design or what but, they separated the main dining room from the bar area so, you dont have to be near a bunch of guys yelling at the scream while you want to propose or something. The bar area is a nice mix of comfortable tables, an island and the bar itself wood and marble masterpiece. The happy hour is off the chain and yes, the pie is up to my standards. Not only will I HIGHLY recommend this place but, I almost order you all to go for happy hour!

We dined at Palomino after walking around downtown for half an hour trying to find somewhere to eat December 28th (Saturday). Walked right past it and wouldnt have gone it, except a homeless guy and his wife mentioned it to us (gave him a small tip and would have given him more after such a good dinner but they were gone by then). I had the risotto with grilled prawns. Nobody in Vancouver does risotto, so I was pleased to see it on the menu. My wife had the paella with large chunks of seafood. Both dishes were excellent. Selected wine was a Veltlite. Restaurant was very comfortable, seating was excellent, and our server was very good (Hello Matt). I recommend this place heartily. Casual but not as casual as Taproom or Gordon Beirsch.

Id probably give three stars if they didnt have such a good happy hour (all night and on weekends). The ambiance is so-so, the service is so-so (waitress forgot my beer for about 10 minutes and had to ask for it, few other things, but it WAS extremely busy). The food is pretty tasty and at the happy hour prices, a pretty awesome deal, the beer selection is good enough (I can always fall back on Mannys or Mac and Jacks) and reasonable with the happy hour prices. Ill definitely return, as the deals are good, and I often find myself drinking on the weekend without many happy hour options. If youre strapped for cash, its a pretty nice option that makes you feel like youre not. The desserts were nice too. ;-p

Saturday evening, Sept. 27th, we had dinner at the Palomino in Seattle, we were celebrating my daughters birthday. We had about 10 "family members, all adults" in our party. Some of these family members, are part Hispanic. We have NEVER been treated so rudely and had to ask several times as to when our cocktails/wine would come. We were the only table in or servers section. It took over 45 minutes to receive them. and even longer for our dinner. The server "talked down" to us. There was a point when we asked to speak to the manager, who was equally rude. Our bill came to over $700.00 and we will NEVER come back. I have very frequently dined at this restaurant but... Not anymore!!!!!! Very Racist!!

The service was on point. However, the food was bland and poorly prepared. We had a large group and the general concensus was the food lacked flavor. My prawn and quinoa salad was heavily dressed in flavorless olive oil and lacked any sign of Artichoke. The prawns were improperly cleaned with shells and veins. Another guest had the shrimp polenta and it was a flavorless mush. I could go on but would rather not. The service was exceptional. Never an empty glass and he was very apologetic. The chef needs to taste the food they are serving before sending out. No flavor at all. Spend your money at Olive Garden it will taste better.

Lovely atmosphere, clean and a lot to chose from. I ate on the Café side of the restaurant and while you can get the full menu items, they have a happy hour drinks and food. Honestly, order couple of their appetizers and it is a full meal. Their drinks are round 4 dollars (on happy hour), have a large selection of beers and wines. I was not disappointed. The only thing that takes a start away was the service which was very poor. I did not get any attention from a waiter till I call someone. Unfortunately, it did not improve during the evening. It is too bad, I would have given it a five stars.
