About 5 months ago I found out I was gluten intolerant. On what I thought was my last trip for beer and a great hamburger at Marco Polo, I told Matt, the owner. He brought in gluten free hamburger buns and gluten free beer. Both buns and beer are probably the best gluten free you will find. I go here at least once a week, its a great atmosphere, and now I can still eat and drink without suffering the next day. My wife thought I couldnt hang out at the bar anymore, and that shed have to put up with me at home, until you fixed her problem. Thanks Matt for saving my marriage! Seriously though, Matts great, I just called him today to find out what brand the buns were, and he took the time to talk to me for a bit and joke with me about my husband. Cant wait to drop the kids off with Grandma and come out for a beer and burger. Thanks Matt :) (Written by the wife)

I had a lot of fun here! The very first time I walked in here I found out that its a covert cougar bar (WA cougars not lady cougars but Im sure there was some overlap). Everyone came up and gave my boyfriend mad props for walking in wearing his husky shirt, the only purple in the whole place. The bar owner also came out and shook his hand which I thought was nice. Contrary to what we thought might happen, we had a lot of fun in this chill-o-sphere. The cougars were playing OSU so it might have been completely different if they were playing the huskies. Whats more is a few more huskies showed up including husky legend Greg Lewis who enjoys coming out to the Marco Polo when cougars arent doing so hot. LOL! It was a surreal experience. I had an awesome Moscow Mule and missed out on what I heard was the best part, the food... No worries Ill be back.

Having a few hours to kill before meeting up with some friends, I decided to make a stop by Marco Polo one Tuesday afternoon. After sitting at the bar, I browsed the menu and saw their world famous fried chicken. Being a huge fan of fried chicken, I decided to give it a try. By having already seen my star reading, you probably already know that I really enjoyed their fried chicken. It was fried perfectly with an amazing crispy skin and the cole slaw that I selected as my side had a great balance of sweet and creaminess. It reminded me of a KFC style slaw, but much fresher and crisper. I saw a sign that said on Mondays they have $.50 wings. Ill have to come back for that because if their fried chicken is this good, their wings have to be pretty damn good too.

Great service was my experience eating dinner at the bar on Sunday while watching football and enjoying some cold brew. Side by side flat screens over the bar, so not a bad seat up there. Ribeye was very much to my liking, as were the loaded mashed potatoes. Brownie, vanilla ice cream, toffee dessert was a sweet finish for an experience that I didnt want to end. In fact, I had another cold brew and later the $5 boneless buffalo chicken. That could have been a little better, but still nothing to complain about. I would eat there again for certain.

Food was great, but service was lousy. I sat down for 10 minutes without being acknowledged. I then got up and moved to bar and still took another 7 minutes before anyone came to offer service. After eating (good burger, thats the reason for 2nd star), I asked for check (which I never received). 10minites later, I flagged down another waitress to take payment. If you have the time to wait, the food is good. But I dont recommend stopping in for lunch if you dont have at LEAST an hour to do so.

Last night was SOOO much fun! Not only because of my great company but also because of the amazing fried chicken and fantastic service! Shelly I love U!! The karaoke host, Robert, he is one of the best and nicest hosts Ive ever had the pleasure to sing with! Thank you all for making our night so awesome! This is a feel good place! Always an amazing time when you come here. The staff is great, and they have some of the best fried chicken in all of Seattle here. They do a lot of charity work too, which is always amazing. This place can get packed, especially on karaoke nights. They have a lot of people working though most nights, so lines arent really ever a problem.

Ive been frequenting this place since 96 send Matt took over and now with the help of Liz the bar has been tons of fun great food great hospitality if youve never had the chicken you have to try it at least 20 or 30 times it is always great option honey mustard is great too you must frequent this place five stars all time

Great environment to have a quick bite, stuff drink and relax. Staff is friendly, seating is bar-stool style, unless you go outside, and the windows are tinted so you dont get glare from outside. Overall, nice venue. I recommend this to anyone, single or group style. They are very accomodating.

As a connoisseur of dive bars, I know this is a gem. I walked in and immediately felt like I was in a neighborhood watering hole. Great place for a Coug game. They even have fry sauce as if you are in the Palouse/Idaho. The broasted chicken is all its cracked up to be.

Lots of food and drink (beer, cider, liquor) options. Even some vegetarian options. Inexpensive. Great place to watch sports events, pool tables, karaoke, darts. The bathroom situation is also decent/clean-locations in front and back/middle of bar.

Nice, casual spot for happy hour drinks. Patio was nice and the server was very accommodating for our dog. Fish tacos were good; even better with hot sauce. Hummus was good and large to share with four. Would definitely go again.

Broasted chicken isnt just a 1970s Albert Brooks joke, its really tasty, and the relaxed atmosphere releases your slobbering chicken-feeding-frenzy inhibitions. Good selection of local beers, too.
