Im really sad to see only one other review of this place. Kind of hidden off of the Ave, Korean Tofu House is really one of the best food places on the Ave. Not really made for your quick food types, but the amount of food you get for coming in is simply astounding and its all delicious. Not only that, but I go with my Korean friends and they LOVE it. The authentic food is really good and you get about 8 little serving dishes as appetizers no matter what you get to eat. If youre looking to try new places and youre hungry, definitely suggest coming here.

What can I say that havent already been said about this place? I usually come here when Im feeling under the weather. The employees are super nice and polite. Their Tofu is one of the best Ive ever eaten. The broth tend to be on the bland side, but they give you salt so you can tailor it to your own liking. The ginger tea us pretty good too.

My absolute favorite place in the U District for Korean food. The food is well-priced, servings are generous, and it is delicious and SPICY! :) The staff is also really friendly, and service is quite fast even when the restaurant is full. That said, expect to wait a bit if you come during lunch or dinner time, because it fills up fast!

For the price you pay, the food is absolutely incredible. I love the small, underground vibes it has - it definitely reminds me of China. :) For people who like spicy food, I usually get the Korean spicy beef tofu soup. My spice tolerance is pretty high, and this is enough to give me a great spicy kick without making my eyes water.

Flavorful food, reasonably priced, large portions, great selection of side dishes. Maybe Ive gotten used to the taste of their Hot Pot Bi Bim Bap, but I havent found another restaurant that has as much flavor than theirs. A college staple, my family also enjoys this restaurant and likes the bulgogi. I also like their tofu soup.

Delicious! Not fancy, its a bit of a hole in the wall, the tables might not be the cleanest (they were slightly sticky) but the food is delicious and very affordable. Great value!! This would really just be suitable for friends casually hanging out or going alone when you have cravings for Korean food.

Traveling for work, dropped by this place to check out the BBQ. Very busy during dinner, be prepared to wait for a table. Tried the short ribs for takeout. Reasonable price for big portion. Sides were ok not the best, but ribs had good flavor. Would come back again.

I ordered the soondubu, which was quite delicious. Everything was quite authentic, which is to say the food is good but the service was pretty terrible. For best results, come along with Koreans and be prepared to pay promptly (no hanging out when youre done!).

Authentic Korean food a 10 minute walk from my house? Yes please. And the prices are almost as good as being in Korea too. Only wish they had kimbap! I usually get the dokkguk soup, and it always has a generous portion of meat. Plus plenty of banchan.

My girlfriend took my here and I had no idea what to expect. I believe we got some jjigae and some tteok ... I was really pleasantly surprised! I think it was fairly priced and we left full and happy. Good experience for sure.

Very nice and well prepared. They hand-made tofu freshly daily! I ordered sesame vege soup. Taste very nice. The side dished also very generous, they give fish! (But the fish is not refillable)

Close to authentic Korean food in the U District, although they can be a little stingy sometimes with the side dishes. Otherwise, prices are very reasonable and service is relatively efficient.

Best places are usually hidden, like this one. A lot of people know about it, but its kind of facing away from the rest of the ave. Great soup and other hot foods on a cold, rainy day.

Good tasty food, generous portions, good seating availability. Mostly for the college crowd; the space is a bit old but otherwise tidy. Entrance is not wheelchair accessible.

Service can be iffy, but the food always delivers. Ive been coming here over 12 years since I started at UW, and it is a great spot for good and cheap Korean.

The waitor was so disrespectful. He didnt even look at us, then threw the menu on our table. I got frustrated by the manners and left the place.

This is hands down the best Korean food in the U district, maybe Seattle. Its so good I got separation anxiety from not finishing all my food.

Authentic Korean food. Go for the hot tofu soup, it will rid any second thoughts you have about trying tofu. My mouth is watering now.

Cramp, hole in the wall diner serving up some of the best Korean tofu soups in Seattle. When they say spicey, they really mean it.

Food is always awesome but sometimes I felt the kitchen was not so clean. Also some of the servants had really bad attitudes.
