Ok. This is me and my gf went to this place for the second time, but we decided will never come here again. The waitresses were really rude to customers. Heres what had happened. We got 4 people party today and about to enjoyed the Korean hotspot because two friends come from Boston to visit us. We originally sat at a corner place and they gave us menu to look. Then, we thought the corner table was too small for all 4 of us because we dont feel comfortable to squeeze in. Then, I politely asked one of the waitresses about changing to a table near the front door, and they said yes. Then, another waitress turned around and told me: bring your water and menu with you. I think shouldnt the waitress bring us those water and menu because I would paid tips at the end. Then, I asked the waitresses could you help me to get two waters? Then, the waitress said to me we served you, and you were been rude. I felt that was hilarious because she was being rude to her customers at the moment! Then, my gf told her, yes, we could bring our waters, but we wont pay the service fee. Then, THAT WAITRESS TOLD US: THERE THE EXIT, YOU CAN GO. We were shocked, and I have been to numerous Korean restaurant in years but never had this kind of disrespectful service. I am now still felt the anger about the altitude regarding that service lady thrown to us. Such an awful experience! Just wrote same thing on yelp.

I have been living in Daly City for 9 months. I have been going to Toyose with all of my company late night for the foods/drinks. When I first discovered Toyose, I was amazed that the West Coast could have such a place like back home in New York. Today, my close friend was leaving for NY for good and wanted to wish them all the best by having a farewell at Toyose. I knew the place would be busy; therefore I had made a reservation. I always tipped the waitress $20 cash on top of the regular because they were always polite and I wanted to reward good service. Today, five minutes late to the venue, my table had been given away. Upon arrival, the waitress whom gave away my table apologized and said there was nothing to be done except “hang around, she’ll call us when she has a table,” mind you there were about 5 additional groups already waiting. If you are going to Toyose, you had better PALLY PALLY, in other words be 10 minutes early to a bar if you don’t want your reservation given away. I thank the waitress for saving me money; I am quite relieved that my friend did not get to enjoy her horrible service. Toyose, good luck with keeping loyal customers loyal, you have just lost a very large customer.

One of my friends suggested this place once, and I never looked back. This is not a Korean BBQ, or Tofu House like most Korean restaurants are (although they do serve the menu to some extent). The place is quite small, so be prepare to wait during rush hours. You can also make reservations for a certain number of people. My favorite dish is the spam casserole, Im not sure if its the same as Budae Jigae (Korean Army Stew), but it sure looks like it. I will have to check the next time I go back. Its basically a boiling pot containing different varieties of food like, spam (duh), egg, ramen, sausages, vegetables , cooked with spicy soup base. Its the perfect food to share with friends during chilly San Francisco weather (which, like, almost all the time) Other dishes that I like - Pa Jun (Korean pancake), Kimchi fried rice, Chicken wings, and Fried chicken. The also have fruity flavored Soju that my friends really enjoy (I dont drink). Make sure you go with friends so you can try different variety of dishes.

OK Korean food with a great selection of flavored Soju Toyose is basically a converted garage (sounds worse than it really is). The decor is awful, and the ceilings low, but somehow it works. Just dont come here expecting a fine dining experience. The food is pretty average. Ive made better Dukbolgi at home and Ive yet to be blown away by anything Ive eaten there. One thing I really dont like is the fact that they dont give you any real appetizers except for burnt popcorn. Not sure if its on purpose, but it has been burnt every time Ive eaten there. Probably my favorite thing is the Soju. They have a ton of great flavors (peach, mango, aloe, strawberry, kiwi etc.) and its reasonably priced. Overall I spend a lot of time in Outer Sunset so Id say thats the driving force in coming here. If you live near the restaurant its an OK Korean restaurant that a decent place to drink while eating. If youre on the other end of the city, give it a pass.

Ive been walking by this place for ages! Finally went in and checked it out with a friend. Cozy setting with comfy booths, polite staff that did a good job accommodating my pickier-than-normal sidekick. If youre not familiar with Korean food (as I wasnt) youll find the menu descriptions to be relatively minimal. Looking at the items on the menu, I chose one (Seafood bits with veggies and Udon in a spicy sauce) and had little idea of what Id be getting. In the end, it turned out pretty good. Tried my partners steamed sea bass, and thought it was excellent. We split a "Pitcher" of beer, which came in a jumbo-sized plastic bottle. All in all? Pretty interesting, and better than I expected! Though next time, I plan to chat up the locals at Flanahans Pub across the street and ask them what to order....

This is one of the best korean restaurant that ive eaten at, best kimchi fried rice ever. They give you a bowl of popcorn as you wait for your food, their soju is good too, youll def get a buzz after. Careful, its a creeper. Their spicy wings could be a little more spicier. Their cheese corn is ok. Everything that ive tried here is always tasty. One thing that I didnt like was the service that I received. The waitress was really rude and not helpful at all. Asked her for something and would end up waiting at least 20 minutes long, and this is when it wasnt too busy. They seem like they hate their jobs. Hopefully they improve their customer service.

One could probably walk right past Toyose without realizing the garage is a restaurant. Talk about camouflage. Confusing as the front entrance may be, the Korean food is not as hard to understand. The rice plates, chicken wings, meat platters, and army stew soups easily complements the orders of flavored soju with friends. Toyose is a great night endeavor with a group of 4 or more. Toyose has a great system where service is on call with the press of a button, literally. Overall, Toyose is a fun atmosphere to hang out in which makes time pass by easily and before you know it, the sun is rising. Perfect for a morning walk on the beach!

Im going to keep this short and sweet because, quite simply, if you havent eaten here, youre missing out! The food here is amaaazing!! We ordered the following: - seafood pancake (not the best Ive ever had, but is pretty darn close. MUST ORDER!) - seafood stew with udon noodles (this is enough for 3 people if youre ordering other dishes and is equally delicious!) - spicy chicken wings (its actually not spicy, but SUPER crispy and delicious!) The wait here can be a bit long, but theyre open til 2am, so pick an off peak time and treat yourself to an awesome meal! :D
