I love excellent Mexican food. It doesnt have to be "over the top", overpriced "gourmet" yuppie stuff from some "celebrated" and "self promoted" chef ... It just has to be excellent and it helps if it is one of the many "traditional styles" of authentic Mexican food. I love this place. Great traditional taste and texture, very friendly and attentive staff and the portions are INCREDIBLY GENEROUS. I would have been wise to leave some on my plate so I wouldnt have been "stuffed to the gills" but I just couldnt NOT eat it ALL. My only "complaint" is really just a positive "comment" ... I ate my 1st meal there on a Sunday and since they give their staff Mondays and Tuesdays off, I had to wait THREE WHOLE DAYS to go back for more. Thats OK with me, I like employers who treat their staffs well. I had to go to two other Lincon City Mexican restaurants on Monday and Tuesday ... One was VERY good, their staff was also very friendly and the portions were ample and fairly priced, but it was a milder flavor profile (although the salsa was pretty spicy). Ill happily return to that restaurant again someday. The other one, however, was very "so-so", the staff were OK but the rice and bean side dishes were not (thermally) hot and the prices reflected a LOT of RENT EXPENSE and thus it was not a good value. Its Puerta Vallara for me!!!

We are recently moved to Lincoln City and were thrilled, after trying several other Mexican Restaurants, to "retry" Puerto Vallarta, as wed been told they are under new ownership....different everything, which is not always the case. They now have some hard liquor, not a full bar by any stretch, but you can get a lot of the basics. Its small and authentic. Prices are very reasonable, a smaller less expensive lunch menu, then a more expanded one for dinner. So far theyve been very consistent, which is my biggest beef (ha ha) in the restaurant world! The only improvement they really, really need to address is parking. Service was prompt, not only the servers themselves, but how quickly the food came. This is a small town, and not everything is always open. For example, today is Christmas Eve. I called to make dinner arrangements and theyll only be open until 6:00, so calling ahead is always a good idea, as is the case with many of even the most popular and established restaurants here. Bon Appetite!

I am heading to Lincoln City this afternoon to get out of the ice jammed roads here in Portland for a few days [being retired is good!] ... The bonus for this trip is another excellent meal at Puerto Vallarta. I drove past it for years until just a couple of years ago and now its a highlight of all my trips to the coast. Big portions, great tasting traditional "American style" mexican food served up by very nice, friendly attentive staff in a brightly colored festive atmosphere. Their prices are very reasonable, too. Cant wait ... I think Ill down a couple of margaritas this time as well.

We stopped here to eat dinner while passing through Lincoln City. It was a toss up between all the Mexican places, but Im so glad we picked Puerto Vallarta! They got us in right away with 6 people. The place was really cute with lots of bright colors! The food was amazing and the workers were very nice. I love that they give you the refried beans with the chips and salsa! (and they are really good beans) Its been weeks and Im still craving their food. Too bad I live so far away!

My girl friend and I were staying in a beach house within walking distance from this restaurant so they had a leg up to begin with. But we were not disappointed at all. The food was delicious, the portion sizes were perfect for us both and the prices were pleasing. We felt like the service could have been a little bit more attentive and speedy but that may have just been a fluke or time of day thing. We will be returning on future vacations.

Great decor, very clean, all staff are smiling and friendly. The portions are big with good presentation. Always busy and always good service. The zucchini dish is one of our favorites. We have been here many times and always have a good experience. Once you sit down you are presented with chips, salsa and refried bean dip. (Hot salsa on request) Your water or iced tea glass is never allowed to go empty. They serve margaritas, beer, wine, etc.

Absolutely amazing food! The servers were very friendly and doing an amazing job considering how busy it was, we got our food very quickly and the food didnt seem at all like it was rushed. We got the steak fajita burrito (incredible, definitely recommend) and the equally amazing pork super nachos. And the fried ice cream is ridiculously awesome! Overall an amazing experience and will definitely return in the future!

This place literally is the best place. We went in to get place a to go order and they gave us chips and salsa while we waited, and their margaritas are off the hook. I ordered the burrito supremo and it weighed as much as an infant child, but luckily didnt taste like one. It was like a medley of awesomeness wrapped up in a tortilla and covered in guacamole and sour cream. Go here if you know whats good for you!

We loved it! We loved the food. The Cadillac margarita was great! we had the chicken and steak fajitas and the Chimichanga del mar (seafood) and my daughter had the cheese quesadilla. The staff was really nice and the service was great. Might not look much from the outside but the inside is lovely and again the food, drinks and staff is great! I would totally recommend this Mexican restaurant in Lincoln City

Ordered to go and food was good, prepared quickly and wrapped well with extra plates and utensils. Had fish tacos, and 2 of their combination plates; the tacos and burritos were better than the Enchilada/Tostada plate, but no complains on the food. Their website and phone number is outdated (reason for 4 star instead of 5) but glad I went in to order.

Great food at a great price. You can pick up tacos a la cart for a quick, inexpensive meal. To top it off, they give you chips and bean dip as an appetizer as well is a little dessert at the end of the meal. The atmosphere is festive with brightly colored tables, chairs, and booths. This is a great place to grab a cheap meal on vacation

Service is top notch, food is even better. In house margaritas are phenomenal. If your anywhere on the coastal path of highway 101 and youre craving Mexican food, trust these 5 star reviews. I decided to spend my birthday dinner here, and I have already decided to spend my birthday next year here as well. Nuff said.

The enchiladas and tacos are excellent. The staff are quick with orders and aware of their customers needs. The complimentary chips are not all that great, but dont let that stop you from enjoying their excellent meals. I would definitely return here many more times -- for both eat-in and take-away.

Food was prompt, people were pleasant. Order was really wrong. Its best to go in and order cause their online menu has ingredients that were not listed on meals so if you are requesting something special on or off your order make sure you know what you get. Cost was really high for the mess up
