We chose this restaurant because they advertised gluten free options. When we arrived and saw the actual menu with gluten free items marked, I noticed they also had items like beer battered onion rings. When I inquired as to whether the "gluten free" fries were made in a fryer separate from the onion rings, the waiter had to go check. He came back to let me know they were in the same fryer, thus not safe for Celiac and not actually gluten free. The Kobe beef dip was good, but I couldnt have fries with it and dont eat coleslaw, so I only got half a meal. Would be nice if they knew what gluten free actually is, so they can label their menu items accurately.

Everything about this place is great. The beautiful walk there, the food, the drinks, the view, the employees... Definitely the best dining experience Ive had in a long time. Will be back for sure if we make it back to San Juan Islands.
