This place is like most other Korean restaurants Ive been to before, though the interior is not that fancy. After placing our orders, we got six plates of banchan (side dishes) along with it, which included bean sprouts, broccoli, cucumbers, and kimchi. It was all vegetables. Service is slightly slow, though it seems like it varies depending on how busy it is. My friend wanted to get the fried chicken since they had it before. We had the marinated fried chicken, which was sweet with a crunchy breading. It was quite good and the breading reminded me of nuts for some reason. The seafood bibimbap is similar to other places Ive been to in terms of size and taste. Its served in a stone bowl on a platter that you can hold so you dont burn your hands. If you like crunchy rice, the rice on the sides of the bowl are cooked just enough for that crunchy texture, but not too hard. Only downside is theres not that much sauce on it. Its quite large for a single person, so if youre not a big eater, you might not be able to finish it. My other friends got the chicken bulgogi and the spicy tofu soup, which looked standard to me. Overall, a decent place to eat if you want some Korean food. Pricing is slightly more expensive that the average Korean place, as a dinner will cost around $15-20 depending on what you get and if you have an additional dish you share with friends.

Stone Korean in Redmond is more expensive than most Korean restaurants. My tofu soup was $11.00, $2.00 higher than what I normally pay. The service was terrible - the food was just okay. I ordered a kimchi pancake. The server brought the pancake but didnt bring me a plate to use. Other people had plates for their appetizers. My rice was dry and cold. I had to force my spoon through the crusted top. Another table had rice like mine, while another table had steaming hot rice. When I initially ordered my food, I asked for a glass of water. She said okay. I had to ask the server three (3) times for a glass of water and she never brought it. Each time I asked for water, she said yes, okay. I noticed she was bringing everyone else water, and neglected me. Towards the end of my meal I had to walk to the area near the kitchen and ask for water. She poured a glass then went to do some other things, with the glass in her hand. She put the glass on the counter where the employees were working. I said, "Ill take my water now." She looked at me, looked around and couldnt find where she set it down. The employee standing next to her gave me the glass. Maybe eating alone doesnt warrant good service because the tip isnt as great, but not giving me equivalent service to the tables around me certainly didnt pay off either.

To be fair, there was nothing wrong with this place. The food was fast and hot, the service was fine. Thats about where the positives end. The floor was greasy like a restaurant kitchen, to the point of being dangerous. The food was definitely cooked, as in safe to eat, but relatively bland. We had kalbi ribs, beef and chicken Bul Go Gi (sp?). The kalbi was best, but for $13 I got about $.50 worth of ribs....I know because I just bought some at Safeway. The beef and chicken were nothing to write home about. The rice, well, that was terrible - seems like a bowl of microwave rice that was in too long. The portions of everything were less than half what you normally expect, especially for the inflated prices. $12-15 for a lunch special that portions as a kids meal is sad. Overall, one star for edible, the second for hot and pretty fast. Beyond that, I wouldnt recommend and I wont be returning.

Preface: 3 stars mostly due to the lack of service In general, this is a Nice Korean restaurant in Redmond. Lots of vegetarian options indicated on the menu by a green leaf. The soups can be made with water base and is very tasty. As a vegetarian, I normally order "soon dubu" (tofu spicy soup), "chop chae" (bean thread - clear noodles stir fry) & "bibimbap" (no meat, extra egg). The banchans (or namul) - side dishes are ok. I avoid the Kim Chee & cucumber Kim chee bc of the seafood/meat derivatives used to ferment the veggies. The service is a bit challenging... need to be on top of that if you want timely service. There have been times Ive waited a long time for my soup and they brought it half full bc it was endlessly boiling on their stove ... It was that long. Hopefully the wait staff will get it together soon. Food 4 Service 2 Decor and Ambience 4 Cleanliness 4

Ive been eating at Stones (no relation) for years and have never once been disappointed. Absolutely the #1 place for Kalbi and Korean fried chicken. The soups and fish are also incredible. The banchan is basic but delicious and unlimited. What theyre really known for is their individual stone bowl rice which crust on the bottom creating a texture and flavor youre not going to find many other places. The wait staff is delightful and attentive. With a drink, youll get out of here for $25 - $35 per person and your stomach will thank you. After dinner, do yourself a big favor and visit Malt & Vine next door for a ridiculously good glass of beer or choice cask wine. Couldnt ask for a better Friday night combo.

This is probably our favorite Korean restaurant on the east side so far, though its a bit pricey. Their chili marinated fried chicken is delicious and their soondubu (soft tofu soup) is good too. If you cant handle too much spice, make sure you ask the waiter if they can tone down the spice on the chicken. Their rice comes in a hot stone bowl, so if you dont like crispy rice at the bottom of your bowl, make sure to ask your waiter for a normal bowl!

This place is amazing. One of my fav spots for food in Redmond. Great value for your money and the food is amazing. There is a wait during their peak hours so be sure to have a reservation if you plan to come at those hours. Overall, quite friendly, although there was that one time our waiter upped our spice level without telling us (Ive eaten here enough that I know what their spice level 2 tastes like). My fav veg option here: Veg Tofu Soup

Food was amazing the kalbi and the half half chicken plate was amazing. Waitress was very friendly and they bring out a combination of cups, bowls and plates for the kids. Food is a little pricey though for food that isnt particularly fancy but theyre portions are pretty big too so it seems to even itself out in the end. My fiance and I ordered two main dishes and we practically took one home.

This place is really good. My family ordered the seafood pancake for appetizer and I got the Kimchi tofu soup. The staff can speak English really well here and are friendly. My family was served food very quickly despite this place being full of customers. The food was also served in Stone Bowls which kept it really hot even long after I got my food. I would come here again.
