My husband & I entered this restaurant after watching a Final Four game on Saturday night. We arrived @ 8:45pm. We were seated and given 5 menus. Two minutes later, our server came over and poured my husbands tea and then started to pour my tea. She stopped and ripped the paper menu out of my husbands hand, took it back to the front counter & returned to finish filling my tea cup. She asked, what do you want? - the kitchen is closing! We ordered three items from the Dim Sum menu: steamed pork buns, fried egg rolls, & fried scrimp. When our order arrived, the pork buns were tepid on the outside and cold on the inside. The fried food was just ok. The owner said he would remove the pork buns from our bill, but he forgot. After we paid our bill, our server came running out w/cash to refund the under-cooked dish. We told her to keep it! Chances are, Mackys wont be in business much longer with its poor service and crumby food.

Staff are very friendly, attentive, and courteous. This was my first time to a dim sum place, so not knowing what to expect, it was nice to see select items ready to go on a hot cart one of the ladies rolled around. The food from that cart was hot too, especially those in the steam bowls, they were actually steaming, there was even condensation on the table when that dish was cleared! The place is very clean, and has a pleasant atmosphere, good for small and large groups. The waiters are initially a bit agressive about having you try this or that, but I dont think this is deliberate, they just seem to be a hard-working crew and wanting to please. So with that, Im giving five stars instead of four. Just keeps you on your toes for ordering, especially for just one person!

Love this place and so does our daughter! The bbq pork here is amazing and all their dishes come out piping hot and delicious from the kitchen. When I tell family and friends that we have a dim sum restaurant you can order at any day of the week, they are floored. The selection of dishes offered at all days and times is impressive, they have an extensive selection of common Chinese dishes as well, and the staff are always happy to see you and eager to please. Come visit this spot, you wont be sorry!

This is a good place to go if youre on a diet, cuz you wont eat much here. This is a place you should try once and thats about it. Yeah, the floor / table / things are sticky but Im willing to overlook that if the food is good. They did try to push more dishes on us but thats the dim sum way. Not offended by that at all. The dough on the XLP is way too thick and the filling has this extra layer of ... pink stuff. They get 2 stars and not 1 because the people are nice.

Amazing! Great service from the friendliest staff! Food rocks and they have outdoor seating for the summertime not only the best Chinese food on the east side but some of the best chinese food in the entire Seattle area :) been eating there for about 2 years but the staff remember you after the first time you go there!! Hidden gem, not expensive, clean restaurant, wonderful food, plus its in a nice area and dim sum is served all day! Five stars for sure!

Simply put... "THE BEST." Our dinner favorites, which you have to order 24 hours in advance are: Yum Gook Gai (whole chicken cooked in encrusted salt), Yee Mein, 3 course duck (Wow), and whole steamed fish. We love their Dim Sum variety. The owners and staff are very friendly. And you know what else? The restaurant is very clean and tidy. We have our Chinese New Years celebration there every year.

The dim sum is pretty good here. Not a huge variety though but food was tasty and hot. Enjoyed the footballs and green beans and garlic the most. I would return again as the prices were moderate. Food came fast after ordering from the dim sum menu. Not busy during the weekdays. Some dim sum items only available on weekends. I guess I will try to back on a weekend. The service is very good. I

Steamed dumplings in this place are so delicious and addictive that they should be banned in the interests of public health. Pretty much everything on the menu that I have tried has been great, and the service is excellent - friendly and fast (it seems to be a family restaurant with the owner and his wife behind the counter).

The food is great and it really is dim sum (small plate). We came here the first time when they had just opened with a party if 8 and the place was dead. We had one of everything on the menu and it was amazing. I highly recommend the cilantro shrimp and general tsao . Just a hint anything you want can come in a big plate too!

Wonderful dim sum! The waitress was super friendly, the food came out quick and was delicious! I am not a fan of green beans but their garlic green beans were good(they look slimy when you order them but arent, defiantly a looks can be deciving moment, so dont be fooled and try them!)will happily come back!

I went when they were newly opened so take this with a grain of salt. It was okay. I havent been back and I dont intend to. It wasnt for me. Since then, I have observed it being very busy so there must be a reason. Parking is usually full and thats because parking is shared with other businesses.

This turned out to be a very tasty dim sum place. We originally wanted brunch but the wait was far too long so we chose to go here instead. All the dumplings and buns and sticky rice were all very tasty, the service was quick and friendly, and they even had a menu to tell you whats what.

Best dim sum on the Eastside and Seattle. In fact they used to have a place in the International District in Seattle and retired. Friends and fans convinced them to open a new restaurant and thankfully the did so in Issaquah. Try the soup balls and baked hum bao. They also do take-out.

The service was extremely quick and very friendly people. The food was delicious and fairly priced, dim sum was approx $3 per dish. The only set back is the difficulty to find this place, it is located inside Gilman Village a bit back from the street.

I truly appreciate how the owner "goes out of his way" with the creations of dishes his staff and him make. Angela (waitress) is always happy and knows how to make one laugh...Absolutely the BEST, I mean the BEST Chinese/ Dim Sum in ALL OF ISSAQUAH!!!

The owners and staff that work at this restaurant are always really friendly. Service has always been good and the restaurant is clean. The menu seems reasonably priced and offers the staples of dim sum. Great to have a dim sum restaurant in town.
