Long story short if you dont feel like reading my novel. ~Overpriced ~Rude service ~Small portions comparably ~Food was okay but not worth the price or the customer service I called to order take out food and the guy taking my order was rude to start off with. I asked him how long it would be, as I was ordering on a Friday night around 6:30, he said " When will you be here". Again I asked how long it would take so I would know when to be there. He yelled this time and said "NO, when will you be here?!" I finally just said fine, 15 minutes. I got there and the lady at the front desk wouldnt acknowledge me. Two people walked in behind me and she greeted them. I said "Hi, Im here for a pick up". She said "Somebodys got you". Whatever that means. Finally a man comes out and cashes me out. $27 for general tsos and Mongolian beef!!! Normally $20 elsewhere. I wait another 10 minutes for my food, after the whole fiasco of when ill be there and when it will be ready! Once, i got my food home I was disappointed with the portion size, as it wasnt even close to the portions i get elsewhere. Also, theres no choice of white rice or fried rice, also disappointing. The food tasted alright but my I will tell you I was best friends with the toilet the next day.

First time here and it was a pleasant experience. We waited about 10mins till the waitress walked by and relized we didnt get our water, tea, and silverware-but she apologized and quickly came back with those and took our order. Crab wonton were good portion to filling ratio, General tso was pretty good, not the best Ive had, but something I wouldnt mind again. Sautéed spinach was awesome, being taiwanese it actually almost tasted like what mom made and what Ive tasted in Taiwan. Sweet n sour spare ribs were nothing special, I wouldnt order it again, it didnt come with that American red sweet n sour sauce you normally get, so Id give a thumbs up for trying to be different. The spicy fried rice was awesome, something Id recommend. All an all I had a pleasant time, and I love decor and the coy pond inside.

Tucked away in a corner of a Plaza in the International District on South Tacoma Way this restaurant serves up one of the Best Chinese Fare in Pierce County by far. Price is good, selection great... everything weve ordered has been DELICIOUS. You can tell they use Fresh Ingredients and there is something for everyone on the menu. If youre in a hurry, this is not the place for you. The service is timely but its not fast food so give yourself time to Relax and enjoy the food and the folks youre with. The decor is eclectic and even a bit cheesy but its whimsical and works! There is plenty of Comfortable seating and can accommodate a large party as well as a party of two. Overall, the service is good and the Food is on point. If you like seschuanese and mandarin flavors, this place is a must.

Best Chinese food in Tacoma!! My picky 13 year old usually will not eat Chinese food...he tried it and is begging to go back. The service was wonderful. I love the atmosphere! The most important part though is the food! EXCELLENT! The orange chicken was flavorful. The crust around the chicken was light, crispy, and tasty, the sauce was not overpowering. The spicy crisp chicken was glorious. The egg rolls were evenly crisp and had a nicely spiced textured filling. Plan on going back this weekend to try the Happy Family and the MuiShu and the crab rangoons...am counting the days!

My Family and I Moved from California in January. We would eat Chinese food at least 2-3 times a month, But since we moved to Tacoma we have not found a good Chinese Restaraunt. We have been very disappionted. UNTIL NOW!!!! We will surely go here every time we crave our Chinese. Our waiter was very attentive to every detail and he was very nice I wish we got his name because I want to sit in his section every time. We had the pot sticker, Shrimp and green onion, Yen Ching chow mien and mu shu pork. It took us 6 Months to find this place but boy are we happy Now!!!!! GO try it now!

Call ahead and ask if Frank is working, best waiter Ive ever come across. My favorite is the Moo Shu Pork, Frank will roll your pancakes at the table. Ive been there when Frank wasnt, it was a terrible experience. My food allergy is easy to accommodate, waitress could not understand English. Meal arrived with undesired ingredient, sent it back, meal comes back instantly with most of the ingredient picked out. It doesnt work that way, I had them remake it from scratch. Stay away from the bar, its full of undesirables.

First-time visitor ordered appetizers BBQ pork and potstickers. For our dinner we ordered as well as garlic chicken. The food had excellent taste and there was plenty to take home for leftovers. As noted by previous patrons the service was a bit slow, and I found this interesting as the restaurant was basically empty. There was plenty of parking and plenty of options on the menu to suit all types of tastes. Would definitely go back again and look forward to trying something else on the menu.

Very rude! The customer service is terrible. I called to ask if they used MSG in their food and they hung up on me. We love good Chinese food, but we have very severe MSG allergies and they refused to tell us if they used it or not. Rather than simply say they didnt know and go check, for some reason they thought hanging up would be better. Ill never go here if thats how they treat people, and Ill make sure to tell my friends who recommended the place too. Absolutely outrageous!

I have been going to Yeng Ching through the years since 1984 and the service has always started with a warm and friendly greeting, wonderful service and a variety of great food choices; one of my favorites is the sizzling rice soup and of course potstickers as starters and then my friends and family make a yummy choice and we share. My out of town family have never been disappointed and my friends and I have it as a regular lunch or dinner choice place to go:)

Food was excellent. Most places with combo meals give you small bowl of soup. Very impressed when they gave us a large bowl of 4 servings for 2. I heard how they can be slow with service. So after 15 min we hunted someone down. They said sorry the person that seated you didnt tell us. So great food and have to say after we got someone she was very much attentive to us. So dont let that be a deciding factor. Hard to find great chinese in lakewood.

We have been eating at Yen Ching for about 30 years. We love the food and the atmosphere. The eggplant dish is the best. Spicy, but appetizing. My husband always has the BBQ pork fried rice and sweet and sour shrimp. Luckily he shares. The house dishes are great. The Yen Ching Chow Main is wonderful. I always take home some for lunch the next day. Yum!
