Indos menu is pan-Asian with heavy leanings towards Thai. The decor is modern, casual, and fairly roomy - a party of 8 would have no trouble here (though you might have to wait). Hopefully this is the trend of establishments to come in the Stadium District. You can do tapas-style bites or have a larger plate or big bowl of soup if youre more hungry. Indo says its mission to provide "delicious, affordable food" but I wouldnt call the bites cheap. Tapas items range between $7 to 12 dollars a plate and are quite small. For instance, 4-5 Kale Edamame dumplings are about $8, so are Spring Rolls. The petite Shrimp & Chive dumplings are $9...its going to cost a little bit if you want to get filled up. For "larger" dishes, the Miso-Glazed Salmon is tasty and reliable but barely a government portion size (think: smaller than the palm of your hand) and rings in at $18. Noodle bowls average about $14 (my favourite is the Khao Soi Chicken with coconut curry, Thai chicken and pickles). This is a tad on the high side, but Im willing to pay IF, if...if, the quality is there. We dont have many places like Indo in Tacoma. The biggest problem lately is that its inconsistent. Sometimes dumplings are folded differently, the filling ratios different from my last visit...not necessarily to benefit. The above mentioned Khao Soi can be quite different from one trip to the next. One time it will have lots of noodles, next time not so much. It might be spicy one visit and tepid the next, etc... Another problem: service is up & down. You cannot assume attentive wait staff. So Indos mission is to be delicious & affordable...a place you return to "week after week". To fulfill that mission, I expect the dishes I eat to be the same week in, week out...at least for the season. It needs to be that reliable bite you get when you get a craving...but its not quite there. A good place to go - hopefully these glitches will smooth out.

Thank the Lord that this place just opened! I cant say enough good things about them. Fresh ingredients in not only the food but the drinks as well. I had a drink with watermelon juice that was perfectly refreshing in this hot summer. I had a Vietnamese vermicelli rice bowl, cant recall the exact name, but it was perfect. My husband had pad thai and he said it was the best he has ever had. I tried it and it was the best Ive ever had as well. The prices are shockingly reasonable for how nice the ambiance is and how high quality the food is. The service was excellent as well. I wish I had saved room for dessert because they have mango sticky rice. Ill be hurrying back because the chef said theyll only have the mango for the summer. I hope this place stays forever. It is SO hard to find such good food in Tacoma. THANK YOU.

I had heard that this place has great food and went to try it out yesterday with my family. Wow. I seriously have never eaten such good Asian food. The drinks were also great and the staff was very friendly, letting us in 1/2 hour early before the restaurant opened. I am headed back to this place and often! So nice to have such a high quality restaurant in T-Town.

The food and portions here are amazing. Beautiful presentation, friendly service, great recommendations. Only problem was we were seated toward the back for some reason while there were plenty of open tables towards the front and our server seemed to forget about us towards the end of our visit while we were waiting for our check after dropping off to go boxes.

Best place to eat in Tacoma, hands down. Everything from the service, to the environment, vibe and especially the food make this top notch. Cannot recommend it enough. If you enjoy Southeastern Asian cuisine, Ive never seen it done better than at Indo. Must trys - Khao Soi Chicken, Pho French Dip Bahn Mi, KHAO NAM TOD, and Massaman Curry.

Best overall meal in Tacoma. I get the soup with chicken and mustard greens every time. They have a waiting list to get in but extended me the offer to call my cell when they were ready for my reservation. We went to Copper Door for a drink and they called us over. Outstanding service.

Great food and despite the fact the food is tasty and well presented, they still get you in and out quickly for lunch. You dont need more than a 1 hour lunch to eat here. Everything smelled good and tasted good. I had steak which was very tender and well prepared. You cant go wrong!

Recently discovered this little spot, had not expectations walking through the door just that it was one of the few things that was open when i was down walking around in the area. Food was great, cocktails were pretty good too, fast and friendly service, will definitely be back!

Great new local spot. Fresh food made in an open kitchen layout. My favorites are the katsu and the curry. Cozy up in a booth or sit around their indoor fire pit. The staff is very friendly and always helpful with great food suggestions. A must: start with the fresh spring rolls!

Awesome Asian fusion cuisine - hints of Korean, Thai and Vietnamese, built into unique flavors that are still familiar. Its quite a tasty experience! Bar, tables and group seating. Street parking only - mix of paid and timed free parking. Excellent service. Moderately priced.

Awesome food. I had the green chicken curry with bamboo shoots. It was spendy in my opinion but I have had curry at other places and other places taste "Americanized" but this food tasted amazing and authentic. Absolutely loved it our new favorite Asian restaurant to go to.

I liked the restaurant and the food was good, a little overpriced. We had a server that was a little rude, it seemed like we were doing him a favor by sitting in his section. I was also served a beverage in an old Mason jar, I think jars as glasses is super tacky.

We are never disappointed with Indo Asian. Its fun to sit at the bar above the open kitchen and have a drink while the chefs prepare their masterpieces and its equally enjoyable to sit at a romantic table, possibly even at the fire pit.

BBQ pork banh mi was tasty--bread was perfectly chewy+crunchy. I would have liked more tangy pickled veggies. Tofu was light and crispy, yum. Thai tea is delicious- not watered down and not too sweet. Kimchi beef bowl was a little bland.

Great food, service and atmosphere! I had the Banh Mi BBQ sandwich with a Thai ice tea! 5/5! The restaurant & bathroom were both really clean! They also do take out! I am in love with this place! My go to place when I come to Tacoma!

What a fantastic Dinner! The Hot wings has a fantastic sauce, nice kick of spice but a very sweet flavor with tons of flavor! The Salmon was fantastic and the Chicken Curry was so good! We will definitely be coming back soon.

Great food, fantastic service and atmosphere. Papaya salad and sliders were amazing, Edamame kale dumplings were great, and pad Thai and ice cream sandwich were good. On the pricier side for Tacoma, but the quality is worth it!
