Okay, first of all I want to make it clear that Im not just a jerk whos leaving a bad review just for kicks. All I want to do is stop as many people from eating here as I can, its terrible. Thats all that really needs to be said but if youve got the patience to read through my whole review, please do. I guess Ill start by saying that the place looks super nice on the inside, its really well decorated and has a nice atmosphere, but dont be fooled. My girlfriend and I walked in and waited to be seated but nobody helped us for a good 5 minutes until I got the attention of a very reluctant waitress that wasnt friendly or helpful at all and just seemed like she didnt want to have to deal with us for a second longer than she had too. She had a hostess come and sit us down and everything seemed like it was going fine until the waitress never came back. And so we sat, and sat some more until the bartender (who was very nice and clearly went out of his way to pick up the slack of his dumb co-workers) noticed that we werent being helped so looking very confused he came over and took our order even though that wasnt even supposed to be his job, and its not like they were busy, the place was basically dead and there were plenty of waiters milling around but somehow none of them seemed to notice us and I dont even know what our original waiter was doing because he sat us down and we never saw him again. So after the bartender took our order I thought everything would be great from then on and that someone else would take up the task of helping us. But I was wrong, throughout the rest of the night not a single waiter helped us, I had to keep asking the bartender for everything even our tab when we finished because none of the other numscull employees seemed to be willing to help us. Instead all they just kept milling around and seemingly doing everything other than helping us. It was as if the bartender was the only mentally competent person there. Kudos to him, at least. When we finally got our food after all that, it was even worse than the service, small portions of absolute garbage. Ive eaten better TV dinners. I had the spaghetti and the sauce was watery and I only got one meatball and one sad Italian sausage for $17, and I have low standards. I was absolutely ROBBED. My girlfriend ordered the chicken Alfredo that somehow was even worse than my spaghetti. The sauce was tasteless and the chicken that we payed $4.99 extra for, was the worst part of the whole dish, it literally tasted like it microwaved frozen chicken, I cant believe this place is even in buisiness. Dont make the same mistake I did and spend $50+ on food from this place that I could have made better myself. It was that awful. NEVER EAT HERE! I havent even mentioned everything that went wrong that night, all I can say is that eating at Al Lago ruined our date, and my wallet. Well never eat here again and were going to tell as many people as we can not to go here.

HORRIBLE! My party arrived for dinner at 4:45 so the place wasnt even very busy and our service was still ridiculously slow. We had 10 adults, 4 children and...ONE server!? When plates started to arrive, I watched as everyone else got their food and then the server just disappeared. I sipped on my room temperature water for over 5 minutes while I wondered if my order had been forgotten. Finally, my fried artichokes came out but without explanation or apology! When our bill came, I was not only annoyed by the forced gratuity but in complete disbelief that my husbands bland chicken alfredo was $20 ($13 alfredo & $7 for a small handful of added chicken!). Our bill was $35.25 for bad alfredo and late/sour fried artichokes--we didnt even order any drinks! We were then quickly rushed out of the place because they needed the space for live music. I e-mailed management with my complaint but they havent bothered to respond. This place is an overpriced disappointment and Ill never return!

First impression was - what is this nice Italian restaurant doing in the middle of nowhere (in a good way)?: no city center, not a huge intersection, in the middle of the residential area. Beautiful view on the lake and mountain Rainier on the clear sky day. Amazing experience. They have local musicians on Saturday evenings. Very loyal customer base too - my wife and I were there about 10 times now and I saw same groups of people there a few times. Theres absolutely no question Id go here instead of mainstream "Italian" restaurants (Im looking at you, Olive G.; we never went back to mainstream after visiting Al Lago). Fantastic customer service! Great food & its selection! I cant even name my favorite - I tried most dishes by now and dont have 1-2 favorites anymore. Not a single time that we werent happy with our dining experience here. We choose to drive extra 10 minutes up to Bonney Lake to visit the place. Well worth it!

We went for valentines, so there was a special menu. My hubby an daughter in law ordered the crab and lobster fettuccine. Well the ran out of fettuccine noodles??? What the heck, its a special menu and you ran out? My hubby spoiled me by letting me get surf and turf, very expensive meal!!! Well when I got it the steak was over done, and the end of prime rib but the biggest disappointment was the lobster. I watched about 4 or 5 beautiful tails go to others but when mine came it was so small and all munched up. I should have sent it back but first time I had ever had it and didnt know for sure. But 56 dollars for it was a bit crazy. The waiter was amazing, he was so kind and never pressured us for anything. Even removed the creme Brule because it was burnt. Not sure we are going back.

Ok, I read the reviews before I went but we had a family function going on there. They did not read the reviews. The pizza was horrible, we had the margherita, and the crust was dry and burned. My mother in law and grandma had the pasta and it was dry, and not enough sauce. I asked for more sauce but by the time it came, it was just not edible. I even told the nice chef if he just added some olive oil to the pans when baking the pizza, the crust would be better. I make better pizza! and very very over priced. Portions were small and the forced gratuity for a large party is crazy! and 4.00 to split an order of food??? The service was ok but slow, since we were the only ones there!

The food can be good or just OK. It is inconsistent. I feel that it is not targeting what is needed in this neighborhood. It is too fancy for where it is. It should be more casual and inviting to the type of folks that live around here. You can have good food and excellent service, but kill the over the top bar and low lighting. It is by the Lake! It should have a Lake-like decor. Rustic and inviting to families and adults alike. Its trying too hard to be pretentious and its just not working. Each time I have been there(day,or night) it has been dead. Never really busy. Hire some nice, warm, and friendly nice looking waiters/waitresses. It would be nice to see it more lively!
