There was a mix-up with my order food (and that of another customer) two nights ago; the employee at Thian Thai called the other customer up and to pick up her correct order and I assume to dispose of the errd order... which the employee then tried to re-hand it out to me. The instant this mix-up happened Thian Thai should have said that they would start making the new dishes (shouldnt even be a question). When the employee said she would call the other customer, I thought it was just to let her know of the error... not to get the food back to pass off to me. Ew! Yes, correct. The other customer wasnt far away (perhaps she was heading back realizing the wrong food) and zipped back to swap out takeout bags. To which, the woman at Thian Thai tried to "regift" this food that I had no idea if other said customer had opened... had touched... had tasted... had sneezed on, whatever. Im sure it was fine but as a food establishment, they should never operate like that. Understandable, mistakes happen. Its that there was no regard for the health and safety of their customers. Hmmm, how often does this happen without the customers catching? No matter how delicious the food, I cannot recommend them because of this event. Up-cycling is great... just not for takeout!!!

Had the "yum green bean salad"that came with prawns, green beans, lettuce, and fish sauce mixture (it was orange and smelly like a hint of fish) with some crushed peanuts. The green beans were very hard to eat like they were not cooked. It could be because thats how Thai food is but we werent offered compensation for the food in the form of a discount or fried spring rolls. The sauce was very salty, the beans were not cooked, the lettuce was in very large pieces (think large enough to wrap something in it and then eat it like a strip of meat) and some other white sauce that could have been sour cream but it didnt have a taste and just made it look weird. The royal curry was great. It was a tad bit expensive for what I got (six or seven single prawns) but, as a whole meal, it was great. I ended up ordering one to replace the salad that wasnt being eaten. I would go again but only for the curry. The salad was very expensive as a salad but the curry was on point. Id even try a different one considering how good the royal curry was.

They have excellent food, and great portions. No MSG and the dinner specials are an amazing deal. We got there late about 30 min before closing and we were the only ones there. It Its a small place, and they have a drive thru for pick up ordering- pretty neat. I ordered the red curry chicken and prawns and it came served in a coconut with vegetables sizzling on the platter. It was so good. If you like Thai food you cant go wrong here. Our server was friendly. I got the $13 dinner special which came with the entree, a fried chicken and cream cheese appetizer, side of delicious Jasmine rice, and dessert. You just cant beat that price for the quality of food and presentation. And my husband ordered the Noodle and Peanut sauce dish with prawns, and it came with fried spring rolls and dessert for $13. I couldnt believe the prices! We took home the leftovers cause Thai food is great reheated. I recommend this place, I love it.

Make sure to check your to-go order bag before leaving the establishment. We were supposed to get rice with our order. When we got home, we discovered the owner had forgotten to put it in the bag. No problem, so we called. She apologized and said she would give us a $2.00 credit on our next order. Went in today, placed a to-go order, and reminded her of the credit. Instead of keeping her word, she padded our bill by $2.00 then presented us with a check for the normal amount, no credit. She said that prices had gone up but the menu didnt reflect a price change from our last visit. She simply didnt want to honor her word. If you make a mistake then make it right. If you promise the customer a credit, then give the credit. Why pad the bill? The food is good but the customer service lacks integrity so were done with this place.

As one who has traveled to Thailand on several occasions and spent a good chunk of time backpacking through North Thailand, Ill start by saying the food at Thian Thai is very authentic. We were able to get Khao Soy there, which is a rare find at USA-based Thai restaurants, and everything we ordered was spectacular. On top of that, the wait staff was super friendly, cracking jokes with us and letting us practice our very limited knowledge of the Thai language with them. I ordered the Curried Duck, and oh man. It was delicious. The food was amazing, the staff was super friendly and prompt, and the atmosphere was surprisingly nice for such a tiny building. Four of us went to dinner and we all agree there will be repeat visits. This is my new favorite restaurant in Bonney Lake.

Ordered Green Curry Fried Rice and Thai Iced Coffee to go. I was really impressed at how hot the food was after reading some of the reviews. It was still piping hot 20 minutes later when I got it to work. I was also delightfully surprised to see the gal had waited to fix my coffee until I got there. She mentioned she didnt put very much cream in it and offered to fix it for me but it was just to my liking. I had asked for no spice on the rice. Im not sure how possible that is being that it is a curry dish so I understand that might be too much to ask but it was spicier than I would have liked. Overall I thought it was pretty good.

red curry, very bland, like they used 1/10th the amount of spice an flavoring, seriously no flavor at all, just a little spice added to the curry sauce, worst red curry I ever seen an tasted, phad see eww, lmao is supposed to be a dark soi sauce color an flavor, this crap tasted nothing like phad see ewww, just noodle uncooked broccoli, an beef with some unknown clear sauce or what ever you call it. The place by the movie theater out here in bonney lake is the only place to go, that place is authentic everything, you can not go wrong there, do not go here, unless you are just clueless to how thai food is supposed to be.

First let me say I am picky, today I tried my first and last dish at Thian Thai, the Red Curry lunch special, plenty of chicken and curry broth/ coconut milk with spice but nothing more, hardly a vegetable in there except for a few shoots. Dont normally get Pad Thai noodles, which it came with as a side but these where pretty bad, two bites was all I could do, tossed the rest. I like it hot and they did deliver in that department but certainly lacked overall. For $8.69 for the lunch special I would not do this again. But hey Im an out of town Portland Thai food snob

for me this is review can only be half hearted. i personally knew thian who was the owner operator of this magnificent establishment. under her rule the food was quite spectacular and always left me quite satisfied. it has since been taken under new ownership and at first i was very skeptical to embark into these sacred waters. however i was surprised to find the new owners have done a good job of keeping the flavors alive. ill always be reminded of the times with thian but im willing to say its worth stopping in to try the new variations of these delicious Thai cuisine
