Based on the overall review of 4 stars, we had high hopes for this place. We were seated within a couple minutes (although theyre greeting area was very disorganized) and brought hot tea and water with lemon. So far so good. We looked over the menu quickly and decided on our orders. And proceeded to wait. And wait. And wait. The place was not busy at all, but we had to call over a waitress so we could order after waiting 20 minutes to order. We received our soup first, which was very good. And then soon after we received our entrees. We both ordered general tso chicken, however what we received resembled frozen Costco orange chicken. It looked and tasted exactly like what you buy at Costco to bake in the over. The chow mein was slimy as well. Do not waste your money.

We had celebrated a friends birthday with his whole family. Well this was a wrong ace to have done so. Not an authentic Chinese food. Prior to ordering we spoke with the head waitress and asked about one of their specials crispy fried duck. we asked if it was good and crispy and gave us a real thumbs up reassuring us of crispiness and freshness. When the duck came, it seemed lime a cold frozen duck that was forci ly cut and thrown into the wok with no seasoning. Tasted dead flat, gritty meat, dry tasting. Chow mein was so awful pretty much like a lumpy soggy noodle. So I would not even think about driviving up to try this awful restaurant. A truly faked China house dish. Totally disgusting !!!

Our family has been to China House numerous times, and weve NEVER been disappointed. The owner/chef and his family are all Chinese, and while theyve made adjustments for American tastes, they have the ability to get as close to "original" as you want it, just by asking. Nice, friendly service, really good food. One of our favorites is Snow White Chicken (chicken, fresh daily white mushroom slices, thin sugar pea pods) with a touch of soy sauce and white rice; very delicate and tasty, with tender strips of chicken. Another is chicken in black bean sauce, or tomato beef, or.......well, you get the point. We travelled for three weeks in China, and China House is as good as we had in China.

Came in for the first time tonight with family to enjoy a meal together, boy was that a mistake! Lets start from the beginning shall we? The three of us placed our order and had to wait almost an hour before ONE of us got our ROOM TEMPETURE meal served to them, while the other two just watched the third person eat! After at least fifteen minutes went by the other two at the table finally got served their food! When we tried to explain to the waitress and manager that we were disappointed that we all couldnt eat together, they continued to make excuses about the restaurant being busy, and never apologized once for the unacceptable service. Never going back!

As truckers, my wife and I eat out all the time around the country. We ordered Wonton soup because we didnt want to pay extra for the war wonton soup. The waitress brought war wonton to the table and when my wife said she didnt order war wonton she debated with her essentially calling her a liar. We were offered the war wonton at the regular wonton price. They were trying to cheat us. I hope they go out of business.

Awesome food, decent service, decent wait times. The food is almost always great and the soup is probably my favorite soup anywhere. I dont like how they list the price per person for the complete dinners but you have to pay for two people, still the prices are okay. Wait time usually isnt too bad and we get appetizers within a couple minutes. Big portion sizes, always leftovers.

When in Auburn, you must dine at China House. I experienced thee BEST Mandrin and Szechuan Cuisine. I use to live in San Francisco and use to eat in China Town, this is even better than the food I had in China Town. They have a nice inviroment, a wonderful place to dine. The Hot and Sour soup is EXCELLENT. General Tsos chicken. You have to order the FRIED RICE its superb!!!!!

Ok. Before I give my review, full disclosure, the owner is my landlord. Just started renting from her and thought we would try the food. Definitely the best in area. House Chow Mein was great. Everything else was very good. Not overly sweet, which is usually my biggest complaint about Chinese food. We will return and I will recommend to friends and family.

My husband and I have been going here for years. the food is always fresh and well seasoned and the portions are generous. the staff has come to know us well. Language may be a barrier for some of the staff but we always seem to work it out to get exactly what we order. Not many great chinese restaurants with authentic food!

Still my favorite Chinese cuisine in South King County! Owned and operated by the same family since it opened. Very friendly staff everything. Despite the language barrier they still remember my name even though I go roughly 1 or 2 times a year since I moved farther away. Highly recommended!

Prices are fair. Food was decent but nothing spectacular. I was a bit disappointed that I wasnt told that the Wonton appetizer was just fried wontons without any filling.
