First I would like to say that Banyan Tree is the best restaurant at Kent Station. Reds comes in a VERY close second because wine is good for the heart. I have not eaten a lot of Thai food, because it seems different after you come back from Thailand. This place feeds on that because it is a fresh twist on delicate flavors. After the second trip to Banyan Tree I was hooked, when I devoured the Basil fried rice dish it was an easy decision to write about the experience I had here. The initial trip was a later one that proved worthy when we placed a quick order for Chicken Satay and Phad Thai (chicken) and savored it quickly before they closed for the night. There are many menu items that Ive yet to try...but I am getting eager to give it a whirl. The service here is friendly, fast, and fantastic. Other good restaurants in the local area are: Cals, Naked Pizza, Mama Stortinis, and more importantly Dukes Chowder House. I do not like Kent Station because there is only one poorly designed parking garage, but if you are not commuting then it should not impair your experience at some fine establishments...although parking can be a nuisance regardless. Build another better designed garage already management - youll attract more business!

i love the food and was one of my favorite spots for Thai food but the service wad terrible... terrible and trust me this is my 1st time leaving a review for anybody.....We were there for happy hour at 258 .. Most restaurants when youre this close to Happy hour they tell you, they will put it in at 3:00 to make sure you get the happy hour priceplace. they charged us full price, Add two other tables because we were there 2 minutes before happy hour ... And then they proceeded to tell us it was our fault They also proceeded to get loud and raise their voice which is rude to customers I will never ever ever eat there again

With attentive servers, delicious food and a unique “modern Thai” decor, Banyan Tree has become my new favorite restaurant at Kent Station. On my first visit to the eatery last week, I was able to try the Panang Curry and the Pineapple Curry. While the Panang Curry was enjoyable, the pineapple curry was a perfect combination of savory and sweet. Each curry was filled with an appetizing sauce and superbly cooked chicken. I recommend pairing a Thai iced tea with your meal, as it provided a tasty way to cut down the spiciness of the curry. The only regrettable part of the evening was being too full to try more.

Very nice staff and great food! If you stop in Id recommend the crab ragoons, I forget what they actually called them here but they were delicious, as well as the drunken noodles were pretty bombl!! The teas and coffees are fantastic, cant forget those glasses of deliciousness!! Great for family or a solo dine. I was there with a table of nine and was treated very well. I highly recommend you try this place if you are doing Thai for the first time its a good one.

My good friends favorite restaurant food is Thai, so I eat a lot of Thai food. This is some of the best Ive had. The fresh spring rolls are exactly that - fresh! The sauce was unique and tasty that went with them. (We were told they make it fresh every morning.) My main dish was also crisp, felt clean, and was really tasty as well. What stood out to me was the original flavors - just a slightly different and yummier take on traditional dishes.

Great location. Great service but food is okay. I tried better pad Thai. The spicy stars is definitely not consistent we asked for a two star and the pad Thai was so spicy tasted like a 5 star. But they were nice about it and made us new portion. Food quality isnt consistent either. Sometimes get good tasting chicken other times it just doesnt taste right. The fried rice is actually good tho. But not pad Thai.

Delicious, but hard to order based on stars. Last friday i ordered 3 stars with my chicken fried rice and it wasnt spicy at all. Today, i ordered the same thing, and its WAY too spicy. I work at Kent Station, and order frequently and keep noticing that the spiciness level depends on the day. Would be better if they had a set guide for their stars and spiciness. Other than that, I love their food!

Service suck, and I dont call that thai food common man Im thai I kn what thai food suppose to taste like if you rate this place 5* I think you should try other thai restaurants before you give this place a 5 lets me give you a real traditional thai place Chilli thai, ra char thai, simply thai, thai ginger give them a try, and your taste experience will change. You got to be kidding me.

Service was shiz. Hostess/waitress seemed irritated even tho we were the only people in there at noon on a Sunday. Didnt seat us just walked us halfway across the place and waved at a booth. Gave us crap service, walked away before finishing any sentences. (Asian women maybe 30+) Small portion. Food tasted ok nothing significantly great about this place except the interior design.

The banyan tree has to be my top 3 Thai food places of alltime. Been here 3 times this week. If u show up later in the day costumer service can sometimes be a little short or rude with u. But overall everyones been fabulous. (Just 1 rude waiter is there before closing). Food phenomenal. Prices low. Spicy af of u like it that way. Love this place

Yeah, this place has good staff. I used a napkin and they brought me napkins! Who does that! ? I always need extra napkins. I didnt even have to ask. I love these people. The vibe is good here. Its not too noisy, visually not busy but chill. Food is served on pretty plates. A good place for dates.

Service would have worked us more at Mcdonalds. Items were never brought, it was mostly empty and they wouldnt come by. 2 out of three of us found the food inedible it was so salty. They do have prompt bar service. We will not return. So much for giving a new place a try.

Delicious food, but very inconsistent. When our order is made correctly its always delicious, but weve had mess ups a lot of the times we have gone. Also, I dont think they are ready trained to make drinks, never has a good drink here.

Good food, very reasonable prices, excellent customer service. E.g., I forgot my leftovers at lunch, came back much later, the server happily remade it for me at no cost. Its customer service like this that keeps me coming back!

Spoke to one of owners while waiting for my to-go food, very nice & friendly. Food had great taste, but quantity was over abundant. Id definitely return. Not typical Thai food you can get at every other Thai restaurant.
