Four Score, High Five! Ever heard that? "Four score and seven years ago..." -Abraham Lincoln. A score is 20 years...so hes talking about 87 years ago. Get it?! This is almost a 4 star because of the ridiculous late night "you only came for the food" bar style service. But hey...Im vietnamese if Im not ignored or neglected at dinner I dont feel at home. Get your "Nhau" On. "Nhau" in Vietnamese is the act of eating (exotic small dishes and typically seafood) and drinking, with emphasis on drinking! Dont come at noon on a Monday and complain its empty, because its a "nhau" spot. Dont come with the family and complain its too loud, because its a "nhau" spot. Dont order typical vietnamese hipster food like Pho or Banh mi (it wont be good!), because its a "nhau" spot. No one goes to Hooters for a quiet time with their family to get a tuna nicoise salad. Anthony Sh-manthony... When in Rome, do what the Romans do. Anthony Bordain, although awesome, is not god. There are better items on the menu than what he ordered. Go there with a handfull of your best buds and before ordering down a couple beers, then look at the menu. Order what the drunk table next to you did and whatever makes your mouth water. I guarantee you wont have a bad time. Besides the rarities like rabbit, quail, alligator and so on try all the seafood! If its one thing Vietnamese know, its seafood. Go as far as asking the waitress what to order, maybe theres something off menu?! *Hint Hint*

We have had Rainier Restaurant & BBQ on our to-try list for a long time, but for one reason or another, we havent gotten around to going there. I can kick myself now for all the time that weve wasted not experiencing their great cooking. We are definitely fans now. We thought that Com Rainier would be a good way to sample different items in one dish. It was broken rice with grilled pork, beef short ribs, and shrimp with a fried egg. The pork and beef had great flavor from the marinade and the quick char from the grill. The shrimp had an amazing natural sweetness. They must have been recently swimming in the live tanks. This is a serious contender for the best Broken Rice Dish in Seattle. I have been on the lookout for good Hu Tieu Bo Kho since Lemongrass in Little Saigon closed. I have found my new favorite here. The broth, on the first taste, was a little sweet, but I soon got used to it, then I couldnt get enough. The beef had plenty of fat for good flavor. Their huge menu and the many exotic ingredients promise many more wonderful experiences

This place is pretty run-down... which is actually a plus in my book. This place is pretty misleading to my co-workers because they all expect this to be an American style BBQ place but it isnt. Its a pretty damn good Vietnamese restaurant. The pho here is solid. Personally I like the pho better at Huong Duong but you cant go wrong with the pho here. Ive also had a pork BBQ Banh Mi sandwich which is not only very good but pretty cheap (around $3.50) as well. Their prices for the rest of their food was pretty competitive as well. The one thing that stood out about this place is that they have a very interesting menu (pretty sure I saw cobra some where). Definitely come here if you want to try to some outrageous food! Disadvantages: There is always a long line for the restroom.

This is an OG spot to grab good traditional vietnamese foods. Ive been going to this spot when it was actually on Rainier! There really too much to list as to "what to get here" Ive never had a dish that I didnt enjoy. My favorite go to dish though the the Com Tam Dac Biet (broken rice special) - youll get an ample amount of broken rice, grilled pork chops, egg cake, and shrimp as well all for $8.95. The place may not be the cleanest place to dine - but its cheap, its open late, its good, and its easy to find. Also the portions are really filling! They got a little bit of everything, from pork to beef, chicken to fish, snake, rabbit, frog legs, geoduck, clams, crabs, snails, deer, etc. You just gotta try this place to see how good it really is.

I want to love this place so badly. We tried this place several times. The first time we dined in we were extremely impressed. Despite the atmosphere and uncleanliness of the place we loved the food. It was authentic and delicious. The second time to avoid the atmosphere we got take out and we had a stomach ache after. So we decided not to eat here again. Several months later we gave it another shot, hoping it was a coincidence. And again we both got sick. Not just a mild stomach ache but full blown food poisoning for days. Yes, food is great. Yes, decently priced but not worth getting sick over!!

Its more of a dive than anything. Its apparently popular in the area, even "rated" and was actually featured or at least visited by a big league chef. But really IMHO, its a "miss", nothing special. Stick to your local/regular Vietnamese joint. I did say "dive" and meant it. Cleanliness is suspect. It seems the place needs a professional cleaning. Foods not bad nor stellar. Prices are just about what Vietnamese cuisine goes for anywhere. So, unless you live in the area and have no other choice, it is what it is.

their anchovy sauce is the best in Seattle. love their ong choy with beef salad, fresh rolls dishes (cuon) like fried fish or Vietnamese bbq or beef in vinegar. also love their be thui (smoked lamb) and canh chua. service is inconsistent although servers are nice but we often have to look for them for service once the place gets a little busy. affordable and consistent quality food. my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Seattle.

the food was great. i never have problem with the service, but the environment was a bit cramped and over populated. one problem that i have was the receipt, i always have doubt about the amount charged and the fact that the receipt has no line item (one total amount only) add to my doubt and suspicion. over all, i would go here with out hesitation if its convenience.

Kind of an odd setup. Like a restaurant within a restaurant because of how the building is setup. Very friendly staff, good food and prices. Many people would drive by and not know this place. Stop by and try it out for yourself. I think youll enjoy it.

Probably my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Seattle. The menu is extensive with lots of dishes you couldnt get anywhere else. You could come with a large group or alone. There is something for everyone. Late night you have the drinking crowd up stairs.

This place offers delicious Vietnamese food and desserts! I highly recommend the Duck Salad and Noodle Soup! This place also offers a delicious 8 course Beef set menu, along with several authentic dishes like pythons and shellfishes.

Order the whole fried catfish(I think you have to order before arriving) and it will not disappoint. We love going there with family and friends. It has good food and things you dont see at regular Vietnamese establishments.

Came here because the owner was donating proceeds to my favorite charity- Facing Homelessness. Incredible!! Fresh, delicious, excellent service. Dont let the modest appearance fool you. This is the real deal. Well be back!
