Visited for lunch and was quickly greeted very nicely. Sat at the bar and promptly served beverages. A very nice beginning, all under 5 minutes. Wonderful! The menu orders from behind the sushi bar consisting of some nigiri and a couple of rolls arrived as fast as the chef could make them, which was great. The fish was fresh. The portions were a little on the smaller side for some of the nigiri (not all), and this was ok becuase the fish I had was very good, fresh, and the right texture indicating higher quality and superb taste. The Saba was well portioned. The rice was balanced, not overly seasoned and not bland. It had a good temperature and just the right amount of sweetness to vinegar. Making good rice is harder than it sounds, and many places ruin sushi by making bad rice. (Pay attention Trappers Sushi, you need help in that department) SIDE NOTE: During the time I was waiting after finishing my miso soup.... I ended up having a low and started to fade, my glucose levels were going down fast. I waved politely to the server and asked for some soda, two servers worked together to get it to me and they kept checking on me. I was embarrassed, but to see them care so much restored my faith in human nature. They were kind and hospitable. The sushi chefs made good sushi, presented well, but without all the zig-zagging, over-sauced rolls. They kept it simple with subtle garnishes. To me, they allowed the quality to help speak for itself, which to me, it certainly did. The chefs that served me were experienced older men who appeared to enjoy their craft. The prices were not too expensive, and the value was quite fair. I look forward to going again, this time more prepared (glucose -wise).

Stopped by and ordered one Godzilla Roll and some nigiri to go. I asked the waitress if the Godzilla Roll was hot and she said, "Its not that spicy" I said No, I mean is it a roll served hot and she said, "Yes". I also asked for the roll and nigiri to be packaged separately as I was dropping lunch off for my wife. The waitress came back later with one container for both items. When I said I had asked for them separately, she looked confused and took it back to the sushi chef who proceeded to separate and repackage them. When they were brought back I looked at the Godzilla roll (Which looked nothing like the pictures others have posted and asked another waitress, "Is this roll served hot?" She said "No" The original waitress said, "If it doesnt say it say its served hot on the menu then its not. I responded, "So then when I asked you if it was served hot, your answer should have been "No". She just stood there and looked at me like the confusion was my fault. Not an apology, just attitude. Hey Domo, FYI, Godzilla Roll is heated, baked or deep fried roll hence the word "Godzilla" Not sure who does your recipes there but your not even close.

Excellent Japanese cuisine, and then some (Korean and Chinese options). One would think such a mixed bag would result in the same for quality, but so far, its been stellar! Excellent friendly service - knowing that I have my regular when I come in, Sushi chef suggested a variation on my fave - Salmon Skin Handroll, but this time with Smoked Salmon. Boom! Instant fave! Not on menu, and not always available, but there :) All this in very modern settings. Sushi bar, tables and outside seating. Great for groups. Ample free parking. Its quite popular, so primetime / weekends means waits. Reservations suggested, more so with groups. Moderately priced.

I highly recommend Domo Sushi. The Lion King roll is probably one of the best on the menu. If you arent in the mood for sushi, try the yakiudon with tofu. The noodles are so tasty and filling! Honorable mention: The takoyaki is super hot and melts in the mouth. For drinks, if you like sake, give Taru a try. It was fairly balanced and light, with a dry finish.

The Food is excellent .The service no all the time. We went there several times, but in our, last visit we werent very lucky. Our server was very unkind and dont even care to bring our bill, so after waiting long enough we needed to ask another waitress to please bring our check. We usually give a ,good tip but this time we were very disappointed. Sorry.

Awesome sushi, great staff and service! They serve pan-asian food, so if you want Japanese, Chinese, or Korean, this place has a great selection for a reasonable price. They have the $4.00-$5.00 basic avacado, california, and salmon rolls. The other rolls are larger and cost between $9-$13. Get it to-go within 20 minutes of ordering!

Some of the best sushi Ive ever had. I ordered the Sedgwick roll and he got the Sunset rolls and not only were they larger than weve had before, but the taste was amazing. We also ordered egg rolls and gyoza, both of which were perfectly cooked and not soggy. Our waitress was also top notch and this whole experience was phenomenal.

If youre in the area craving sushi you might as well try this place out since there arent too many other Sushi places in Gig Harbor. Its not amazing, especially when you hail from an asian-centric city like Toronto with tonnes of ethnic food, but its better than no sushi. Plus, the lunch special pricings are pretty reasonable.

The sushi was KILLER....so good, I even got my husband, who swore hed never try it, HOOKED! The service was top notch and the portions were larger than I expected. Not everyone in our party are sushi lovers and they had no problems finding something fantastic to eat. Absolutely fantastic place, in every possible aspect.

I must say that the service at Domo Sushi was horrible tonight. I love the food and its one of my favorite places to eat sushi. But the server was way more concerned with his other table. i will definitely come back, but lets hope next time is better and I dont have to wait 10 minutes for them to bring my check back!!!

Excellent Food, Excellent Service. Ive never been unsatisfied in the many times that Ive eaten here. If i had one request to the owners, they should try an all you can menu option similar to what trappers does. Otherwise, I wouldnt change a thing!

Best sushi in the Harbor hands down. Visited every sushi place in town and domo has the fairest prices for astounding fish. Relaxing atmosphere and friendly staff. I cannot emphasize enough how worth it this place is.
