In an airport hotel for a conference, I wanted to check out the local korean food. Went to Seattle Weeklys website, and saw the review, and it was about 20 minutes from my hotel. It was a rainy day (heh), but after calling the restaurant three times (they barely speak English), and speaking with the people at Outback Steakhouse, I found Cho Dang Tofu in the grocery store (Pal-Do World) , just to the right of entering the sliding doors. It was already 8:45pm and the restaurant lists 9pm as closing time, and I was starving. At first they said the restaurant was closed, but they graciously accomodated my to-go order. Had a Korean BBQ beef and tofu soup order, and I was surprised to see they included the usual trimmings. They served me hot barley tea when I was waiting, soaked, and hungry. They packed it well. The soup was spicy and good, kimchi, cucumbers, etc. yummy, and I devoured the beef ribs and rice. The ambiance is casual, family dining; my combo added up to about $17. Thank you for feeding a hungry woman!

If you want something spice, soupy and with lots of tofu, then come to this place as it never fails to disappoint. Dont judge this place by the service or atmosphere as with all Korean food joints, its non-existent. Comes with the traditional Korea side dishes and a fried fish as your appetizer. Never had soon tofu before? Be adventurous and give it a try. They also have locations in Tacoma & I believe Lynwood.

Our favorite place to go on a cold day. Good tofu soup at a great price. First time eaters should understand the type of tofu soup you get (beef, fish roe, clams and etc.) is just an accent to the main part of the soup which is tofu. My wife and I usually share a combo which comes with your choice of tofu soup and one meat dish.

The server was fast and attentive. I ordered the soft tofu soup with dumplings and the mix of flavors was decent but the broth was very thick (partly because of the egg that was added). The side dishes were solid but nothing to write home about. My favorite side dish was the The portions were just right.

The food here was just delicious, even the tea and rice. Its hard to find places that give food with clean, excellent flavor. This is one. They give you tons of appetizers before your meal and the tofu soups are amazing. They serve them boiling hot so be prepared to snack on appetizers until it cools.

I love the food here! The soup always comes out bubbling hot and so delicious! The side dishes are always fresh and tasty. I get the spicy pork and kimchi tofu soup. Dont pass this place up! Also if you have not been in a while remember they moved locations a year ago

If youre looking for soondubu (순두부) aka Korean soft tofu stew, this is probably the best place in the Seattle area. They have a location in Kent and Tacoma as well. Their stew is really rich in flavor and perfect for the cold weather weve been having recently.

Nice and clean Korean restaurant. If you like Korean food specially hot tofu soup then difinitly you want to try this place. I gave 4 stars because it is my standard rating. To earn 5 stars from me the place requires to be more fancy.

We showed up at 8:35 and they turned us away because they close at 9. The food is quite good but the service is quite poor. All the servers are old Korean ladies and theyre cold as hell unless youre an old Korean lady.

I will approve this place and verify it is good to the senses, especially tongue. So get the acorn noodle or beef dishes but make sure you try the tofu soup not too spicy now. Tip :never 5.

Awesome soft tofu soup. Great selection of classic Korean comfort foods. Spacious location for moderate size groups (3-8) and plenty of parking. Just off the freeway!

The food was delicious, I got the beef bulgogi. Its a little pricey but the main portion was pretty big.
