Our first experience with Korean BBQ was interesting and enjoyable thanks to the patient friendly staff at SuRa. First and foremost - they welcome first timers, questions and helping novices get familiar with how the process works (its not complicated, I figured it out... LOL). After taking our order, they delivered the many side dishes that are part of the dinner combo (which is an excellent "first timer" choice). It includes a variety of meats to grill so you can sample all the options. We also ordered some dumplings to enjoy while waiting for the main event. YUM! They took the time to start things on the grill, and checked in with us frequently to make sure we had what we needed and refill the side dishes you like (kimchi, marinated fish cake, potato, sprouts, etc). We went in for an early dinner (4PM on Saturday). It was actually busier than we expected at that hour... not full, of course. But there were about half a dozen parties - and when we were leaving the restaurant was getting full with families and couples. So its clearly a popular and well liked dining choice. Im looking forward to returning for another excellent meal, and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a tasty change of pace from the usual. Enjoy! 고마워요, 수라! 곧 보자!

We have been going to SuRa for a few years. It has great marinated galbi, mackeral, soups, and pork dishes. Additionally all meals come we a variety of banchan (side dishes) that can be refilled. They have the option for diners to grill their own meat or they can cook it in the back if you want. Often times we have them cook the bones while we handle the rest of the short rib meat. The family that owns the restaurant is very nice and committed to thsir customers having a good experience. All employees are bilingual in Korean and English

The food was excellent. The service was friendly and the overall experience was great. I felt like i was in korea eating authentic korean food. The decor was very relaxing. It wasnt americanized as far as im concerned. Their meat was juicy and very flavorful. The bring you like 15 miniature appetizers such as marinated tofu,pickled ginger, etc. As well as a decadent rice punch dessert. I highly recommend this restrauant to any locals or tourists. If youre into Korean food this is the place to go. Dont miss out.

Service is very bad. So bad that Im willing to log in, and leave my score. The place smells. Floor can get slippery. Seats arent properly cleaned so if you seat there just for few seconds, your clothing will reek. Did I say the service was terrible? How terrible? How about no service for 45 minutes, no side dishes, nothing but a cup of water?

Quality meats. Their marinate is pretty good, and their chadol (thin sliced beef) has been on a higher level lately. 4 stars because its still sometimes not as good. But their banchan (small side dishes) are really good. The kinchee tastes homemade.

You get what you pay for in terms of the quality of the meat. Never going back to Palace. We were ignored for a little while at the beginning, but they made of for it by being prompt later and with their food.
