My family and friends used to frequent this restaurant weekly and have pretty much since the restaurant opened a couple of years ago. We had a waiter that we always had wait on us and the management knew us. On June 10th we went for our weekly mexican food fix and had an awful experience. First, we were told our waiter no longer worked there. None of the wait staff looked familiar. They were unable to set our party together, so we sat at two different tables. It took forever for the waiter to come and take our drink order. Then it took about another 10 minutes for our drinks to come back, without waters. We placed our food order and about 15-20 minutes later we heard a crash in the kitchen. We didnt think anything of it. About 10 minutes after that-2 plates (out of 12) of food came out. About 20 minutes later, 3 plates of food came out. 1 of the plates of food was not the correct order and the other two plates were luke warm, burnt and dry. My husbands fajitas were sticking to the pan and werent even sizzling. About 15 minutes later the remainder of the food came out. I called the manager over and explained the situation to her. Explained we were regular customers who ate there ofter, but the food and service was not acceptable on this night. She explained that the crash we had heard in the kitchen was out food falling on the floor and that they had to re-cook our meals. I told her that at the minimum our waiter should have come and told us what had happened, but she should have come to the table immediately and told us what happened-her response was that she was telling me now. She was not apologetic in any way. She said that accidents happen-which they do, but we should have been told about it. When we explained that our service was up to par-our drinks hadnt been refilled, chips not refilled, etc.-she said she was short on wait staff. When the meal that wasnt correct came back to the table it was still incorrect. I asked her if our food had to be recooked why was our food lukewarm-she just made another excuse. I told her that if this was the way that they were going to continue to do business they would lose a lot of business. Her response was that that happens in this business. We sent two meals back untouched. She offered to cut the bill in half-but didnt take those two meals off. When we went to pay one of the waiters told us the owner was there and we asked to speak with him. A gentleman came to the counter and asked if he could help us. I said we were waiting for the owner, he said he isnt here. We went round and round about that and he told me he was a manager. When I confronted the waitperson who told us the owner was in-she pointed to the gentleman who just told me the owner wasnt in and had told me he was a manager and the girl told me he was the owner. When I left I told the gentleman he was going to lose a lot of business and he said "thank you". When we got outside another family was outside and related a similiar experience to ours. They also had been going to this restaurant for years. So, we found our favorite waiter and found out that they have switched owners and cooks. In addition, they are using different seasonings now. I have raved about this restaurant for years and sent everyone I know there! Now Im telling you to stay away!

My to go order of nachos was completely soggy inedible. They layered the chips on the bottom of the togo container then poured the hot cheese all over the top. By the time I got home it was so soggy it was like soup. The manager was very helpful offered me a meal free of charge on my next order. She assured me that was not the way they package to go meals there. Considering I am new to the area and this restaurant is very convenient as far as location I decided to go back the following week. I ordered nachos again explaining the situation from my previous visit to the hostess. She was going to have them put the chips on the side fir ne which would work. Again they were layered exactly the same way I eas handed the container and told that this is the way the cooks make it. So rather than take them home I left them there explaining that I am sure that if I was eating here they would be absolutely fine, however I want to take them home and they are packaged so that they are no longer edible by the time get home. And apparently that was ok because they let me leave with nothing. If it was my restaurant I would have made my cooks make the meal as the customers requested it. Put the chips on the side then...no problem and i most likely would have eaten there once a week for the next year or so. Possibly even bringing my kids and grandkids in peroodically. Im now looking for another mexican restaurant in my area to get my to go orders from.

Have gone out of my way for years to eat at 3 Amigos, bypassing several closer-by Mexican restaurants. After tonight, Im teetering on never going back. My major complaint is that I didnt receive the meal I pointed to on the menu and verbally requested (fajita for two w/ckn, beef, pork, chorizo, and shrimp). What I received instead was a shrimp fajita, which appeared to be a serving for one, but at $24.99, screamed serving for two. The waitress offered to correct the order, but leery of what teed-off cooks might do, I decided to stick with what was served. The shrimp tasted good, but not spectacular. The salsa was good but a little too garlicky for my liking. The music that is piped through the restaurant is annoying to my ears, which sounds like some form of Mexican rap. So overall, I feel like Im being generous with 3 stars, and I will think long and hard before returning to one of my once favorite restaurants in the area.

So, I got a cheese and a beef enchilada. I also purchased a large margarita. The margarita was very good. The beef and cheese enchilada need a LOT of work. The "red" sauce was brown. The enchilada shells stiiff/cold. The rice that accompanied the enchiladas was cold as well. The cold part makes sense. One thing a person counts on at lunch time in a Mexican restaurant is speed...not so here. I waited over 5 minutes for a waitress and 15 minutes for food after order...VERY SLOW compared to many, many competitors. I was completely unimpressed and will not return. Again, waitress very nice. Genial. Food...poor. I had to use the rice as a wash for the actual expense of the meal. They should probably close and save several people the expense of feeling bad about a food selection. STAY AWAY. :p. Yuck!!

I have eaten at this one and the Kiln Creek restaurant and will never eat at another one I had a minor problem at Centreville road restaurant and the manager/owners relative was very disrespectful and the food was not that good. Then last night I mentioned my experience to the Manager/owners son at Kiln Creek and he just walked away without any conversation. He could of said I am sorry that happened or anything but they obviously do not care about customer service and in fact are quite rude if you have a complaint and they are relatives of the owner. I am in a customer service business and if I had a mediocre product (which is what their food is at best) and the owners/managers did not care I would be out of business.
