I ordered food from golden king via GrubHub. I mistakenly flipped 2 numbers on the address (which I will absolutely admit was my fault) and the driver attempted to call me. I missed the call by a few minutes and called back as soon as I saw I missed the call. The driver immediately started yelling at me that I gave him the wrong address. He pulled his car around to the front of the school I work at, didnt even get out of the car and continued to yell at me through the car. I apologized for giving the wrong address but he continued to yell at me. I asked for my food so I could go and started to walk away. He told me not to order from them again (which I wont). Kept yelling at me all the way until I got into the building. I called the restaurant to have them take off the tip, and the man on the phone refused and also started yelling at me. I then said I would like all of my money back and he hung up on me. Grubhub costumer service was amazing and although they also attempted to get the restaurant to refund me my money, they were unsuccessful but gave me the equivalent amount in grubhub credit. Will never order from this unprofessional place again.

We (husband and I) have been on the search for a decent Asian takeout place since we moved to Sterling from Leesburg. We had our beloved go-to joint in Leesburg, and were pretty disappointed when it was so difficult to find a good place in Sterling that was even remotely comparable. At last, we found it, though! Weve given Golden King a try 2 or 3 times now, and have been impressed every single time. They offer many authentic dishes, in addition to many Americanized favorites that you find most other places. They use very fresh ingredients, the seasoning has always been fantastic, and they certainly dont skimp on the portions. Weve never been into the restaurant, so we cant speak much for that, and their online ordering system is over-complicated, confusing, and poorly designed, (not to mention, detailed descriptions of the menu items would be helpful), which is our only reason for giving 4 stars rather than 5. Other than that, I am am crazy excited that we finally found a really fantastic Asian takeout place in Sterling. Keep it up, GK!

I really enjoyed this place. Typically at these Chinese restaurant the service is abrupt if not friendly. However, the servers were delightful here, as well as the gentleman that greeted us--he actually greeted us with a smile. Then, when I saw that Sesame Chicken was not on the lunch menu, I asked if they had it even, and they immediately said that they would make it for me as a lunch meal. Now that is service! The Sesame Chicken had nice fat chunks of chicken. The only complaint was that I would have wanted more sauce because it was good. The chicken was quality and not stringy or mushy. It was also served with a nice amount of broccoli and rice. My BF got the shrimp and broccoli, and the sauce was really good on that, a nice, flavorful brown sauce. The shrimp were plump and quality, and the broccoli was nice and green and fresh. Lunch was only $16 and we ended up taking a doggy bag for later. I will definitely be back.

Golden King is authentic. Ive been to China and you can tell walking in that youre not just going to the local "Chinese place" even though you cant tell from the outside. Its the smell, not in a bad way at all, and the older guys who work at the front. I hear great things about the Dim Sum but I havent had it yet (hoping to soon). The food is good, nothing otherworldly but its really made similarly to how it is in China by way of flavors. If you know what youre doing you can order off menu but the one knock is that the prices are high. Youre getting the real deal but youre going to pay for it. ~20/person if you include a soup with your meal.

There are several Chinese food restaurants in the area. This one is by far the most authentic and the best. There is American Chinese and Chinese Chinese. We have gone to Chengs for years but it has gone down a bit. Golden King also delivers. DELIVERS! Weve called them as late at 955pm and they done it. Great work ethic. Quality genuine food. Weve never had a problem. They have DimSum (I dont care for sweet but wife loves it) and weve had it when weve dined in. Really a great find, solid as rock food. Never had any reason to complain.

A good place for a Sunday brunch. Can get very crowed especially on holidays like mothers day. Food is wheeled around on carts and you get to pick what you want. They moment to sit the wait staff tends to inundate you with choices and later in your meal it can be a wait to get some more carts to be offered to you but the food is all fresh and is not the ordinary American style Chinese menu fare.

This was a disgusting Chinese restaurant. I ordered a whole fish and it was uncooked in the middle. we complained to the server, she asked us if we wanted it cooked, yes we did when we ordered it. we dont want you to take our half eaten fish and cook it again. they didnt even take it off the bill or offer anything to make up for it. And yes I am Chinese, and i am very disappointed.

For me this is one of the best Chinese buffets around, at least on the weekends. They serve a lot of different varieties of Dimsum and other entres that are usually fresh as the turn around is pretty quick. Ive visisted quite a few of the buffets aound the DC/Baltimore area and this is the one I recommend.

They dont deserve a star at all. Ordered online and got half my order. Called and was told the food is on its way. Food never came. Was told to never order from them again and not to call there again. Very bad business. They owe me money or food. Anyone know a good lawyer?

I love the food that comes from here. The chicken is always cooked to an excellent texture and it stays good for the next day or two. The people there are friendly and can accommodate my friends dietary needs. It is definitely my reoccurring take out place now.

This has been a family favorite since they opened. Authentic, well cooked Chinese food close by is appreciated. They have dim sum, congee, and both authentic and Americanized dishes are done well. Really friendly restaurant staff and owners.

The food is pretty close to authentic Chinese food. The dim sum are great most days. We only had one day where it was a miss. But my kiddos love the food. You must order their specialty fried tofu!!! Its really good here.

For NVA, this place aint half bad, you can get authentic roast duck on rice not to mention that they serve dim sum daily (a bit of a wait time though). Overall one of the best in NVA as far as roast ducks go.
