Nice, fun atmosphere. Employees with wonderful attitudes. The food was just okay. I ordered a cheeseburger. It was overcooked and dry. Another person ordered a cheeseburger in our party as well. The 3rd person ordered a chicken parm sub. It was just okay. For what we paid for the meal, the meal was on par. Very reasonably priced, but the food took over 40 minutes to come out and we ordered pretty simple items. A better POS system might be in order ... servers were walking around with slips of paper confused about which tables got what food items. The REAL issue was sanitation. I observed all the servers running their hands through their hair, touching dirty dishes, wiping their hands on their jeans, then picking up clean plates with those same hands to deliver food to the tables. I also saw the bartender scratch her scalp then proceed to touch plates and make beverages. I also saw the expeditor scratching his head, drinking a beverage and sending clean plates out to tables. The bathroom was also pretty gross and my menu was covered in old, wet food. Yikes! Dont think I will be going back to this one, which is sad because I love supporting local, small businesses.

Unfortunately, I just threw my food up in my mouth. Sucks because this used to be my favorite place, but I just ordered a sandwich that took an hour to be delivered, and I couldnt hold it down for even a minute. Im not sure if they have new people in the kitchen but BEWARE! (This was my safe bet meal) Seriously, people. No joke. Their food went from 100 to 0 real quick. I used to love this place, but I cant be throwing up lunch. No point in eating if I cant digest my meal. Additionally, theyll refuse to give you your money back or replace the meal even if youve only taken one bite so... that sucks twice! Spare yourself... Richmond has a lot of good vegetarian/vegan spots. Try a few places before you settle. Stay healthy! Li

I along with friends went there, not by choice, and we were happy with the place. It has vegan option menu which is the the reason we picked the place at the last minute. I had buffalo tofu sandwich which was absolute delicious! I was shocked and very happy with it. I also had onion rings tho I was concerned if its batter is really vegan or not since the waiter was not 100% on it. I asked if it contained any dairy, egg and he said no but it has beer which is fine with me. It was delicious too, tasted different from "regular" onion rings. If I go to VA again, I dont mind go to the place again but I wont order onion rings to be safe, ha ha.

Ive been here several times, and most of the time things are great. However, the last time I went with my coworker and we had to wait over 45 minutes for food because Im pretty sure our server forgot to put our order in. About 12 people sat down 20-25 min after us, and almost all of them got their food first. Needless to say, we were extremely hungry. Our server I think didnt want to say anything about it because she didnt apologize or offer a discount. Not a great experience that time. The food is great, but I was disappointed in the service.

You only get 1 chance to make a first impression. I waited more than others ,that went in to eat even though we ordered take out. When we decided to sit they did not allow us to take an empty table because even though we had already paid they didnt want to Lose money. Dont recommend this place, they should be,ashamed that they didnt give us better service. It will come back to them.

Extremely popular brunch location just inside Richmonds Fan District. Youre technically in the VCU campus, so dont be shocked by all the college kids! Food is great, service is excellent. Hope you dont mind waiting for awhile because they are so popular that they operate on a first come, first served basis with a waiting list for seating. Worth it though. Totally worth it!

This is a great local place. They used to have Friday special call Kates plates and they were delicious. They still have daily special or at least Friday special. They have a good selection of vegetarian options n a few vegan options. Their beer selection is great also. This place may not offer fine dinning dishes or service but they have delicious dishes n wonderful staffs.

I drive 2 hours for this place at least a few times every year. I love the local art that changes every so often. I love their selection: well portioned, flexible, with vegetarian, even vegan options. In particular, I come for their sweet potato-black bean burger--tastes even better with an added fried egg! And to top it off, the service is always nice.

Had a good experience here today. Fun decor inside and friendly staff. My smoked salmon omelette was tasty, even if the presentation was bland. My bloody mary, while also not particularly interesting in its presentation, was tasty and spicy just like I like it. Would certainly come back here as a breakfast spot.

821 is a simple unpretentious little place with great food and a dope beer selection. They have great vegetarian/vegan options, and the specials board always has something exciting to order. Oh, and its also inexpensive. This is the kind of place thats likely to become a go-to for anyone who lives close by.

This place is very hipster-ish being right next to VCU. I love the atmosphere and selection of craft beers, but the best thing is the food. Its absolutely amazing. Unfortunately for all the hipsters, Im incredibly lame and a dad to boot, so Ive probably tainted the place for good.

If I were to go vegan, I would have to eat here everyday. Luckily, along side with many delicious non meat dishes, they also have many great tasting foods that have meat in it. I always love me a good club sandwich and fries. Deep fried artichokes were fantastic.

I remember my girlfriend and her parents inviting my brother and I to come here for dinner before we headed back home and we had a great time here. Food was great and the servers were very nice and great at what they did. Would recommend going again. ^^

So its located on campus, more of a hipster feel to me. Not too big, so keep that in mind for larger parties. Food selections were good, had vegetarians options and came with large portions. Breakfast is served all day Tuesday!

Its a small place with great food. Im nowhere near a vegetarian but there vegan chilli bowl was wonderful. Rich and delicious and a very generous portion. Its one of my favs. If youre in the area, its worth the trip.

Really great place for brunch in Richmond. It can get packed especially on the weekends. The service has always been great and food is excellent. The only thing that could use some improvement is the house coffee.

Im far from a vegetarian but I tried the sweet potato black bean burger and it was delicious with TONS of flavor and fresh creamy avocados. I also tried the erzo that was great! Awesome fast and friendly service!

Food was alright for me; my friends didnt have a great time with their food. We also waited an hour for it. I was told its not usually like that, but for s first time experience I dont really wanna go back.
