So Ive been here a few times and since the grand opening, the service and the quality of food has steadily declined. Drinks are forgotten, food wait times have increased with every visit (even off peak hours) and servers and hosts alike have seemingly become incapable of providing a pleasurable dining experience. However, the reason I am writing this today is because of a recent experience. I walked into the restaurant and was not greeted by your host(s). There was a male employee behind the counter talking to a female employee (I assume they;re both hosts). My girlfriend and I were ignored until I approached the young man, whose name tag read "Omar", and politely requested if we could be seated. He walks us over to a large table, located in a corner booth. A large table for two would make for an awkward and uncomfortable dinner so I requested either the adjacent booth or the square table for four. He declined both requests with attitude, I didnt want to argue with him so I left. The restaurant was great when it first opened, but since then it has exponentially declined in food quality and service. The popular truffle fries now come out over cooked or too dry, and Ive had other food that came to my table cold (when it shouldnt have). I do not know what type of staff your management is currently employing, but they are most certainly not capable of providing a pleasurable dining experience. This restaurant by FAR has provided the worst impression of a dining establishment in Northern Virginia. Not only me, but my peers and friends have also had poor experience at this restaurant. The yelp reviews do not lie.

Very bad service. not a fan of this place at all. I went to this particular Yard house a couple of times and have been charged more than what I should have been. I usually do not put bad reviews but this just happened yesterday and I couldnt bear the frustration. I went to lunch with my co-workers and order a chicken sandwich with fries(that comes with it). I asked the server if I could replace my fries with something else. He mentioned that some people like Chicken tortillas soup. So, I gladly asked if I could get my fries substituted with Chicken tortillas soup. He did do the same but in the end he charged me $3 extra for that soup. And upon asking him, that there is extra $3 charge, he said, oh yeah we charge our customer $3 extra for the soup substitution. I couldnt have argued much in front of my co-workers but I really wanted to yell at that guy---why couldnt you have mentioned it to me earlier? I understand $3 is not a big deal but its the policy. They always feel that they can charge anything to their customers during lunch time and since customers usually come with a group, they would never want to shy on their dollars due to the embarrassment. Pathetic service Yard house! I would have let go if that happened only once, but it has happened multiple times and I feel like they should learn to respect customer loyalty. Their food is good, which is pretty much the only good thing I am going to say... Will avoid coming back here..

This is our go-to place for both drinks and dinner. We come here on average 3 times a month. It helps that we live 5 minutes away. Naturally the wait is long on weekends, especially Friday and Saturday nights, but so are all the other restaurants wait lists in that Town Center. The Yard House outranks ALL the surrounding places in terms of beer selection and fantastic food. Like I said, we go frequently and have probably tried over half of the menu items. We tend to be pretty picky with our food but havent yet been disappointed. I usually get an appetizer as my main meal. The Kungpow Calimari and the Korean BBQ Beef both come with jasmine or brown rice and are extremely satisfying. We also love the Street Taco selection...try the Carnitas! Also get the sweet potato fries and truffle fries...so freaking good. Recently tried their Duck Wings...very nice. Their Moscow Mules and Mojitos are the best in the area besides Mikes. As for some reviews stating their meals were cold...thats never happened to us. Weve never had a negative experience with either food, drinks, or service. Most of the staff are actually quite witty and we like to chat with them and get their drink recommendations. Naturally sometimes there is a shift change in servers so you may end up getting two...hardly an issue as long as they are attentive. Worth every penny. Best place to go in Springfield.

After some shopping and family fun have dinner at the Yard House. A place where all members of the family can enjoy. Even though Im not a fan of lobster, I love the Lobster Noodle dish. Everytime I say I am going to try something new, I always go back to the Lobster noodle and it never disappoints. The menu has a huge variety of options which I like so next time I have to try another dish. The kids enjoy having their own menu to order from, with a lot of kid favorites and a splash of something new. The kid activities mat keeps them occupied and I like how the activities are interactive. Beer lovers can drink an ice cold IPA and everyone can enjoy the game while waiting on your food. Although hubby didnt quite enjoy his dish the overall experience was a success in team Glenns book. This place sucks. I even held out on reviewing the first time I came because i just wanted to like this place. If your just coming to sit at the bar its probably alright. The drinks are great. The food tastes good too, with a major drawback that comes from the downsides. The problems I had are the service, the weight and the portions. Both times i went, a 15-20 minute wait was significantly longer(1.5 hours and 30+ minutes) Both times there were several hosts doing absolutely nothing and there were tables available. And when we did finally get seated by the hosts, silverware was jot provided. Both times our food took forever to come out and the when it did, it was cold. And then we had to wait for silverware. There were several other things that only happened the first time, so maybe they are getting better, but i assure you it will be a while be fore i give them another chance.

Went for lunch today and was really disappointed. The restaurant didnt really seem very busy, but service was very slow. We waited a long time for our order to be taken, our entrees were very slow to come out, and drink refills were nonexistent. I had the Korean short rib tacos, and they were okay, but not great. The beans were lukewarm and the rice was mushy. My wifes Cobb Salad had dry, overcooked chicken, dried out carrots, underripe avocado. My wife called over a manager to complain (because our server was MIA). To his credit, the manager took the salad off our check and offered her something to go on the house, but we declined. One bright spot was the cheese curd appetizer--delicious! They have a great beer selection and I might go back for that, but there are so many other restaurants in that mall that I probably wouldnt go back there to eat.

The food is delicious, with a lot of choices- even vegetarian options. The beer options are endless and varied and quite wonderful! But service has been atrocious every single time Ive been there (about 6 times now). No one has been outright rude, but theyve all just seemed apathetic. They take forever to come back even if they arent packed, forget silverware, forget special requests... theyve rarely even smiled. Ordinarily I wouldnt mention that but since is has been consistent it leads me to believe their employees just arent happy to be working there, and lack the motivation to work quickly and efficiently. Its a shame because food and drinks really are great. Just be prepared to spend a lot of time not eating or drinking while they take forever to check on you.
