Ive tried a lot of the local Mexican restaurants, and this one is easily my favorite. The place is clean, the staff is friendly, and the prices are comparable to the other places around town. The food is what sets this place apart from the others. I feel like its much higher quality and they let the natural flavors of the ingredients come through. Unlike a lot of other Mexican restaurants around town, when I leave this place I dont feel like Ive just eaten a plate of unhealthy slop. If I was forced to come up with a con Id say that sometimes their service can be a little slow. It has never bothered me at all, but if you are a high maintenance diner I could see how you might get annoyed. They seem to get a lot of takeout orders which might contribute to this, but you can see that they are all working really hard and, like I said, Ive never felt too bothered by it.

After a three day camping trip down the James River this meal was glorious. Chicken burritos are my go to at a Mexican restaurant and this was made perfectly. They actually mix the burrito ingredients before wrapping! So your not taking bites of individual ingredients and end up with a final bite of pure beans. When driving through the area for future camping activities we will plan to make this a regular stop.

Easily the best mexican place in Harrisonburg. Their tacos are authentic and made with excellent handmade corn tortillas. None of that crappy stuff. Hand made guac. Hand made everything. You can taste how fresh it is. We eat there once a week now. Highly suggest the pork tacos, quesadillas or tortas if its your first time. They are 11/10.

Food was very tasty. Lots of flavor. Taco salad with grilled chicken had a lot of chicken and the mango salsa was delish. Hubby got El Pastor taco. They were stuffed and full of flavor. Staff was very friendly and service was great. We will definitely be stopping in again when we are traveling from PA to Tennessee.

Great food prepared by a couple who are committed to making a difference with their lives. The prints and posters on the Subs wall spice the mind and invite conversation as surely as the Mexican peppers season the fajitas. Stop in to dip your soul into community and quench your thirst with a bottle of Sol.

Stopped here just by chance while traveling up 81. My sub was stuffed with meat, cheese, veggies, and flavor! Green salsa actually had reasonable spice without sacrificing taste. Service was very warm and friendly. I would definitely recommend to friends.

Normally has good food but we were there for 25 minutes and finally got our drinks chips and food all at the same time after I asked for my drink twice. I only recommend this place when Jose the owner is working, which evidently isnt on Wednesdays.

Great recipes made with quality ingredients! Rico and his staff do an awesome job and provide top notch service. The menu is mostly Spanish food but his subs and burgers provide American options as well. Required eating for travellers and locals.

Was really surprised. Great smells and a extensive menu. I had Ricos Steak Burrito. It was tasteless. No seasoning and not well put together with the beans, cheese and steak not combined. One of the worst burritos Ive ever had!

Food was good... had the fajitas. But I ordered a Pina Colada and it had chunks in it and they put sprinkles on top. TURNED GREEN! Yuck. Seating is limited and small tables (used to be a Waffle House). I wont go back.

GREAT food. Adobada tacos were amazing, just like ones Ive had in Mexico. Chimitacos were great as well. Delicious queso. Chips and salsa was a bit tomato heavy but overall an outstanding place for food.

The best Mexican food and the best subs in Harrisonburg. The staff is very friendly, the place has neat decor, and the menu is a great blend of sub and latin food options with some delicious overlap.

The food was excellent but margaritas were watered down so four stars instead of five. Old Waffle House converted to a Mexican grille. Cool little place with great food.

Subs were good. Burrito smothered in cheese sauce was good. Amazing. Glad I Google this place after seeing the smallest shop streaming people in and out.

The portions are generous but lacking in flavor. Very clean and friendly. I may be bias because I prefer my Mexican food to have a kick.
