I just finished dining with my family. This was an awful experience. They brought the food one by one, kids first and HUGE amounts of time between. The garlic knots are TINY and cold, and not even garlicky. Took 30 min for my guests to get their calzones- which were bland hunks of bread with a pound of cheese. 10 min later and I was still waiting on my chicken fettuccine Alfredo. 45 min after ordering I got my side salad. 55 min after ordering I finally got my food. Cold. And the chicken looked very unappealing floating in the Alfredo sauce.... Our server was TERRIBLE. Hardly said two words to us, literally threw the silverware on the table.. and presented the food to us by shoving it in our face. I was supposed to get a slice of cheesecake with my meal, but we waited and waited for it and it never came.

My family and I stop into Pizzaro 2-3 times a week. The food is excellent, the portions are huge, and the price cannot be beat. Their menu has everything. When Frank tells you take a menu and have a seat I recommend it, you will have a lot to choose from. What I love the most is that Frank will do most anything for you. I like the Philly Steak and Cheese but with a little pepperoni thrown in. Franks response when I asked for it the first time..."no problem". If you find yourself craving something good but dont know what, stop by Pizzaro...they will have something to satisfy your cravings!

I dont often leave negative reviews, but wow that was some really terrible pizza. Maybe I was there on an off night since so many other people seem to like it. The crust was very doughy, much like bread. The sauce reminded me of high school cafeteria pizza, and the cheese was just meh. All together, it tasted very much like a store-bought pizza, the kind you take home and stick in the oven. Very disappointing. However, I agree with the other reviewer who said the fried mushrooms were great.

Flame baked pizza in walking distance from the Tesla supercharger. Another plus for the only RVA supercharger. Reasonable price. The small is plenty big enough for two. Its definitely not a personal pizza size. For beers on tap including Peroni! I asked the owner (Im presuming) how long theyd been here. He said 14 years! Must be pretty good to last that long. Not very busy... Though it was a Monday night... It was about six oclock.

Wow, I went on pizza night and ordered 2 jumbo cheese pizzas. They made and served the pizzas in well under 10 minutes. The restaurant was clean and well stocked of napkins, straws, salt, pepper, and lids. The pizza had a very good crust, there wasnt to much sauce on the pizza and the cheese was generously spread on the pizza. I would say it is the best New York style pizza I have had so far in the Richmond area.

We have been frequenting Pizzaro since it was "Apollo", as our kids earned their black belt from the nearby TKD studio and we needed nourishment as we waited. 10 years have gone by now, and the pizza here is still the best in the Richmond area. Zippy sauce. Fresh, hand-tossed dough. Gas fired brick-oven baked. Caesar salad with chicken is outstanding too. Great local shop with nice staff.

i typically love to eat here and do so frequently. tonight, however, there was a new cashier. she did not ring me up properly for the special i was ordering. my slice of pizza was not with the rest of my order when I returned to pick it up. all in all I ended up paying $7-8 more than I should have, including the price of pizza that never came home with me.

I eat a pizzaro many times a week, it is one of the best places around. I support locally owned Richmond restaurants and this by far is my favorite, the selection is wide, food is always delicious, and the owner is always right there eager to take your order! Frank and his employees are the nicest guys around

Best food in Glen Allen. I order the chicken alfredo once a week and the serving size is absolutely enormous, more than enough for two people. Do yourself a favor and eat at this restaurant, I guarantee that you will be back.

I used to live near this place, but moved 15 minutes away. I still drive across town to eat here at least once a month. Great food, good location. Pizza is very good, sandwiches are outstanding.

The pizza was rather flavorless and on the sweet side. My one daughter liked it, but then again she likes Dominos. Their mozzarella sticks and fried mushrooms were good though.

I have been here several times. My favorite is the spaghetti with meat sauce and add mozzarella cheese on top. Steak and cheese is awesome too. Friendly staff.
