Then menu was very unique which I liked. Apples, prunes, turnips and other items are usedz which had me excited. The biggest disappointment for me was the sauce. It tasted like the tomato sauce they used on the meat was sugar filled, sweet, pasta sauce straight from the store. Besides that I enjoyed it but they need to change tthe sauce

The food was really good, the ambiance was nice. The people who work there were very friendly. The lamb chops are really good, as well as the beef dumplings. I even liked the rice & bread they gave. The only thing they were missing was a changing table in the restroom to change my baby :-) ... but thats a minor issue.

The food is always great here. My favorites are the kadu palow (pumpkin) and the quarma palow (lamb). The lamb kebabs are also very good. The portion sizes seem to be getting a bit smaller recently, but its still worth the trip. The restaurant is fairly small but only seems to be full when a large party shows up.

Hands down the best lamb chops I have ever tasted. I cannot remember all the things I have tried here, but everything was very well made and extremely tasty. I only wish the prices were a tad lower so that I could eat here more often.

Authentic Afghan cuisine with many long-time customers. Their kadu palau is the best in the area, but everything is wonderful, so although decisions are difficult, youll never be disappointed. Go there, youll go back!

I have never had Afghanistan food before and my first experience at Panjshir has me wanting to go back asap. I do not eat lamb often, but I could not imagine not eating it again there. Awesome service.

My wife and I have been going to the Panjshir Restaurant for about 25 years. The food is great and the staff very helpful as well as friendly. We love the chicken kebobs, mantoo and sambosa goshti.

If you never tried Afghan food, get over to this place - its a wonderful example of southwest Asian cuisine. Owner is friendly and recipes are authentic. Not often any specials or variety, however.
