If you like classic fine dining and history you might like this joint as much as we do. I have been here a few times and every time I am amazed at how they have pulled this charming little place together. I dont know where their chefs are from. They used to feature pedigreed chefs in the past but I havent noticed if they still do that or not. I will say the food hasnt missed a beat and they nailed the traditional stuff that I like. I am not very adventurous when it comes to food and I hate inconsistent places. I have clients and I entertain often and this place is my go to if I want to impress somebody without having to jump through my ass to get a reservation or drive till my butt falls asleep. I couldnt help rate this place this time because my waitress was so amazing that I wanted to make sure Nicole got mentioned. If you have something special going on ask for this girl, she is freakin on it. Both her and the owner seem to have the right kinda OCD when it comes to the details and Nicole seemed intuitive at her job, worth every penny. Why dont we have more places with service like this closer to home. Oh my God, wine and beer I have never even heard of. Awesome selection with a cool iPad to glide through selection for days. Yummy wines from someplace called Blackankle or something I love. Anyhow, not pretentious but lost in his head, the owner is a little socially awkward but is a savant when it comes to taking care of the most minute detail. Comfortable place that is quiet and holyshit attentive. Charming environment, impressive dishes made my head spin paralyzes me with indecision evey time I come back. It all looks so good I can never decide when our server shows up. Ask for Nicole like we do, she helps me decide what to get with patience and a cute smile. We love her!

Before dining here for the first time, keep in mind that this is more a "slow food" restaurant...meaning that they use local, fresh, and organic ingredients...and the cute little restaurant is surrounding by very beautiful gardens. When you eat here, you are supposed to be there for a little while...like they want you to enjoy every bite and relax and take your time. A lot of people have a hard time with this I think...society is used to fast food which cannot even come close to quality of what you are served at Brick Ridge. Its adorable and VERY CLEAN on the inside. Its a bit on the high-end side so I dont think I would feel comfortable bringing my crazy little boys unless it was an off time. It def a date night spot...which is absolutely OK with me!!!! Now to the food ... AMAZING! In addition to their regular menu items, I love that they always have something new to offer - clue that they actually have a chef in the kitchen!! Weve been a couple times and had excellent food every time. Id say the service was sufficient - not excellent. Maybe because they keep it small with only a couple servers? But the server was very friendly and when he had to give another table a bit more attention...the owner actually came out and gave us attention. I just love this place. Prices are a little on the high side but I am a food snob who appreciates good food therefore I am willing to shell out at a great little place like this that supports local sustainable agriculture. Cute, quiet, clean, fabulous food, supports local community... You have to give this place a try!

So we figured we check this place out since it was the only restaurant in Mt Airy that we havent been to. Evening started out great, nice bottle of wine, appetizers were fairly good & there was a guy playing a guitar and singing at the tables, he was comical by the way. I placed my order for the steak, asked for med rare but the waitress suggested that I should not order anything less than med because it would come out tough. Well when the steak finally came out it was med - med well. just what I was trying to avoid. The manager I assume, never introduced himself, came over to the table and agreed that it was a little over cooked & then also stated that as I got closer to the bone he could see that it was med. I personally was looking for med all the way through. They did offer to take it back & get me another one, I declined because we did not want to wait longer for that. Secondly the steak itself had no flavor to it. The mushrooms & onions that covered it did, but not the steak itself. My wife ordered the filet which was cooked right but once again no flavor, like a cheap piece of meat or something that was frozen & then thawed out. When I received the check the waitress took half off on the bottle of wine. Not what I was expecting but they at least tried. I personally would have just taken my meal off the bill If it was up to me. Probably will not be going back!! Ill stick to Dutchs Daughter / Dungeon!!!!

My wife and I celebrated our 17th wedding anniversary with dinner here. We have driven by the Brick Ridge dozens of times but this was our first time dinning there. Unfortunately we were disappointed. We made reservations but were seated in the large room to the right of the entrance along with a loud party of over 15. The other main dinning area appeared to have better atmosphere, and was less crowded, but we didnt request a change (out fault). My next impression of the dinning room was the smell - it had a decidedly musty/moldy smell which distracted me from the dinner from the start. We had a very nice appetizer (crab dip) and a couple of glasses of the house Cabernet which was very nice. If not for these I would give this restaurant 2 stars. The main courses (Antelope - Montana week) were on the negative side of average. The service was OK but unexceptional. The price was high for the quality of the food. Were always looking for nice restaurants to go to in Carroll County (which doesnt have many). Unfortunately well have to continue our searching - this one just isnt worth the cost.

Just had our second meal at Brick Ridge last night, and I believe this may well be the best restaurant in Carroll County. The menu changes frequently and there are always very authentic "state themed" specials that vary, as well as seasonal specials. Last night the bread basket included pumpkin muffins for the season, and venison was among the unique specials we tried - excellent. Theres always something different, usually something surprising, and everything is always delicious. I wont go there if Im in a hurry, as they arent the speediest joint in town - but who cares? Thats not the point here. The ambiance is relaxing, the food is superb, and theres no need to rush. Food this good takes time. As for the prices, they are not low, but theyre not oppressive either - expect to spend about $100 for dinner for two. I seriously hope they dont change, as Id like to remain a regular customer for many years to come!
