This is a no frills carry out with awesome food. If you are culturally on the very bland side, dont go... The atmosphere is very Jamaican in that it is somewhat reggae-like. Two small booths are available if you stay to eat there. Authentic, warm people will serve you food prepared with love, and as you seek you shall find that this place can be a magical experience. If you are unfamiliar with these flavors you will want to try everything! We had the meat pie (a Jamaican style empanada) Jerk Chicken, Brown Chicken (fav) rice and some special hot pickle that one of the guys had made just the night before. He was quite happy to have us try it, and boy was it hot! I love this place and cant wait to go back. Plan your trip in advance because the hours are somewhat limited.

I happened upon this place while I was driving around Faifax with my mom and we decided to give it a try. Before I get to the food, I have to talk about the decor of the place itself. It was rather plain and... well it gave off the image of it being badly kept so I could only imagine how dirty the kitchen was, which is something I never want to think about in a restaurant. Putting the sketchy decor aside, I ordered a curried goat dinner which was surprisingly tender. My first bite made my mouth water and yearn for more which made me forget the thought that it might be dirty haha. Definitely worth trying if you dont mind MAYBE having a bit of dirtiness in your restaurant kitchen

If there was a minus one -1 I would give them that. Scroungy, dingy, dirty hole in the wall. It was robbery at how much I paid for a small curry goat. $7.75 plus tax. First of all I got NO goat at all just bones and second their over cooked rice which tasted like porridge was so soggy with NO peas!!! There was one tiny piece of plantain and nice surprise I found a huge HAIR, yes a HAIR in my food. Yuck! I am from the Caribbean so I know my curry and all these raves must be American fools who are used to burgers and crappy food. I am seriously going to give McDonalds a 10 star rating in front of these people. NEEDS to be shut down. Plain old DISGUSTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

my favorite place to eat by far, no joke. it may be a bit hard to find because of the location but the food is well worth it. OX tail is sensational, jerk chicken is the classic meal to get there and It is the best I have ever tried, like I said its my favorite place to eat. the food is very clean and delicious. they have these authentic Jamaican juice drinks that are delicious and go perfectly along with the food. great people holding the place down and really nothing bad I can say about the place. if you are in the Fairfax area by Main Street during lunch time I highly recommend you come try it out!

Was in town for business and wanted to try something local that I cant get at home. This low key joint has character to boot. I love spicy food and tried the jerk chx. Within minutes of ordering, I received my food. Huge portion and big flavors. Served on a bed of rice with fried plantaines and pickled cabbage on the side. You could taste the love that was put into this food. Come down to the Carribean Corner and support this diamond in the rough!

Went to this restaurant today and got the curry goat large meal and received a bunch of bones instead of meat and a ton of rice w/very little veggies. I was very disjointed seeing that I drove 15miles in the rain with my three little girls. What a waste of time. If you go there make sure they give you what you pay for as I got taken for $14. Sad that people run businesses and do not care about the quality of service or the product.

Great little hole in the wall, I love their beef pastries. You have to come early to get those. Something kind of odd about this place is that if you get a plate of meat (specifically the chicken in my case) the bones get chopped up with the meat- be careful! This was annoying and made it take longer to eat but it still tasted really good. Reasonably priced, I always get it to go since seating is limited and not super inviting.

No frills Jamaican carry out. But it is one of the more authentic Jamaican places in the DC area. My favorite is Curry Goat typically served with rice and plantains. It can be a bit hard to find and there really is no parking. I have heard from more than a few sources that this is the best Jamaican place outside of New York and of course Jamaica.

Ive only been once and had the jerk chicken and the curry chicken -- both were delicious! It is definitely "no frills" on the ambiance, but it is perfect for take-out. The guy who helped me was very friendly. The meat IS on the bone, so dont expect it to be like eating chicken McNuggets. I plan on going back soon.

I gave a 3 only because of the food it is beyond delicious! However when they are supposed to be open they are not. If you open At 11:30 but your door is locked and closed at 12 with not a soul in sight, how do you expect me to keep coming back and wasting my time when its a chance your not open?

The food is magnificent, but the service is spotty and not terribly well-organized. I do appreciate that when doing take-out, they always show you the food to make sure you get the right order. Jerk Pork on Fridays is a favorite, but the oxtails and everything else Ive tried have also been great.

This place is a hidden gem. Fantastic jerk chicken. I have always been a fan of jerk chicken and after many years I was told about this place. Third visit here and the taste of the food and portion size is phenomenal. Highly recommended place, keep in mind theres a minimum $10 credit charge.

Great food great people. Hole in the wall restaurant so dont expect much visually. But seriously this is the best Caribbean food in the area. If your not a snobby person I promise you will love it. Everything Ive had has always been amazing but the ox tail is by far my favorite.

I gave 5* bc the oxtail is awesome.. very well seasoned. The rice had peas (beans) in it & I even ate some cabbage (which I almost never eat) NOW on the other hand the ambiance is lacking bt if u want great food THIS is it!! Their oxtail is actually better than Jerk Pits,

Brings you right back to the islands! Great food, great service, and more food than you can eat for $8.75!!! They also have TING!!! (Jamaican grapefruit soda) An absolute treasure of Fairfax City. I will be back on Friday to try the jerk pork!

Absolutely adore the vibe and laid back atmosphere, reggae and dancehall blaring out of the stereo during the lunch rush. Excellent curry goat, ox tail, and of course jerk chicken! One of my favorites in Fairfax City!

Got the ox tails, curry chicken, and jerk chicken. Even near closing time the meat was incredibly moist and tender. Nice flavors, nice cuts, and fantastic rice & peas. Pretty quick and very friendly.
