Ive been to this location three times now. The first two times were very average. Nothing particularly bad or good. This past time was much less than average. Our server was snippy when we asked for silverware, and it was obvious she was unable to handle even the normal stress of serving multiple tables. They were slightly busy, but I would not say anything over normal sunday morning rush. It took a long time for her to take our order. It took a long time for the food to come out. As we were finishing up and leaving I noticed I was charged $3.00 for gravy for the biscuits that come with my meal. It just seemed annoying that I ended up spending $10 on coffee, orange juice, and gravy alone, then another $9 for the actual meal I ordered. A normal sunday breakfast should not cost $20, especially for food that was not very good. The country fried steak was okay, the gravy tasted starkly odd and I ended up not even eating it. Lastly at the counter to pay, my friend went first. Then a manager came over and told the girl at the computer there was a new way to apply a military discount. Neither my friend nor I asked for this but they applied it to only my check. When my friend asked, they replied that it was simply too late for him. So I sat there next to my friend and got a cheaper meal simply because the staff was too lazy to figure out how to apply the discount to him as well. I dont ask for the discount and didnt particularly care for it but to have it applied to me and not him, right next to me, is troublesome.

My wife and I just walked over to the Bob Evans restaurant in Stafford Va tonight the 8th of July 2015 from the Red Roof Inn. We are on our way back to Maine from New Mexico and decided to visit some of our Civil War battlefields. The girl who seated us was very rude and unfriendly! She flopped down the 2 menus and turned her back immediately and walked off saying nothing. I blew it off thinking it just a moment she was having. When I got up to pay our bill and get change for the tip for our waiter, it was even worse. I spent 30 years in retail management with Krogers and always treated my customers with respect and for whom they were, payers of my salary! This person gave me the tip change, grabbed my credit card out of my hands very rudely, said nothing, put the slip on the counter, I signed it, she took it and again turned her back on me and walked off. The taste in my mouth is so bad I will not enter another Bob Evans and I will write the corporate office also. D Reed

I want to like this Bob Evans because I enjoy the one from my hometown but theres been too many issues to enjoy eating here. A few weeks ago I ordered To-Go and they let me know when I got there to pick up my food they didnt have it so Id have to order something else because they charged my card. This morning our waitress seemed like she had a long day and was behind on getting back to us. I know that serving can be stressful so I didnt mind. I asked for a takeout box and 20 minutes later she never came back and I had to go get one from the counter. Then going to my car I saw the waitress in the parking lot. I understand getting off your shift but make sure your tables are taken care of before you go. The food is always cold and not worth giving anymore chances.

Visited Bob Evans this morning and had a terrible experience. My husband and I went and it took over 2 hours from the time we walked in the door until we walked out. The wait was fine for the table but once sitting down it took awhile for a waitress to come grab drink orders. Once she came we ordered food and drinks since we were ready. After we ordered food it took an hour for it to come out! We watched 3 tables of 4 people sit next to us, order, receive food and leave before our food came out. I even flagged down the hostess to ask if our order had been put in. Once our order came we rceived and incotrect item as well. Ordered home fries and received hashbrowns. Only reason for 2 stars is the food tasted good.

Some of the worst food I have had in a while. I went for lunch and ordered blueberry crepes and a side of scrambled eggs. First of all my crepes were cold. Also my eggs tasted very dry (I only ate about 2 bites). Afterwards I asked what kind of eggs they used and my waiter responded saying that they used powder eggs. You can only have real eggs upon request. We had a very kind server but the food was below average. The rest of my family ordered kids meals, chicken pot pie, pancakes and biscuits they also found they food not very good at all. I probably wouldnt recommend eating there being in a family of six and Bob Evans being very over priced. Not very happy with my experience.

To start off with the positives, the waitress was very nice and the food they prepared correctly, was good. Now the negatives. It took them 50 minutes to make our food and the waitress blamed it on their non-existent busyness. One of the sausage patties was undercooked and pink in the middle. Finally, one of the pieces of bacon they gave me, (a diabetic) was randomly candied. Overall disappointment from a chain that is usually quite acceptable.

Never again! Server was nice but couldnt get the orders right. Steaks were low grade beef and overcooked. Gravy was too salty and the mashed potatoes were probably made from a box. Very bland. My girlfriend didnt even touch her dinner. She got the chopped steak which she called agravy burger without a bun. The chicken noodle soup was nice even though it was tiny. Decor wasnt bad either.Overall not worth it.

Despite other reviews our party of 2 arrived at 8 am. We were seated promptly and Dora our server came right away. Drinks were on the table in minutes and our order taken in 5 min. Dora did have two other tables but our breakfasts were brought out by 8:12 and was very good quality. Had the check by 8:21 and all was good to go. Nice job and thanks to Dora.

Have visited this place numerous times in the last few years. Food is ok. Service is always iffy. Sometimes it is OK, but on my last visit it was horrible. Server seemed to not want to be there. Never smiled or showed any interest in customer satisfaction. Dropped off our food, then almost immediately brought our bill and we never saw her again.

Home cooked country meals anytime, great cook. Awesome waitresses and hostess. Ask for Jamie or Dora. I have been eating at this Resturant for about 20 years and the same waitresses for about 15 Yrs now. Its great to walk in and have a smiling face greet you and leave with a good feeling of home cooked meals.

We eat here occasionally and the staff is always friendly and I have fun it feels like family the staff knows I an my husband very well. I would recommend anybody who want a great meal to come to Bob Evans. I cook at home but when Im tired of cooking this is the first place we go to eat.
