Well I used to like seafood before I came here. I drove over an hour because I was picking up and he recommended this place (big mistake) we came in on a Tuesday a few weeks ago we walked in the place had hardly any business then waited for a hostess or someone to seat us we stood around for about 10 minutes just to be seated take in mind no one was even there so the slow service was unbelievable and so avoidable if anyone would actually pay attention to see if they had business but anyway we got seated the lady was really nice probably the only thing nice about the place. Our waitress nicky (or something kind of name like that I cant really remember her name to well) took forever to even ask us for drinks I was debating on leaving but my friend insisted we stay so I did for him so my friend gets a water and I ask for a Pepsi and then the waitress says "we only have coke" in a hostile and snobby way not even remotely friendly I decided to blow it off because maybe she was having a bad day but after I finish my beverage I get up to use the restroom while on the way out one of the ladies from the back (African american with short hair) bumped into me and said "excuse you" in a rude tone. It seemed like everyone I encountered hated me and didnt want my business so I come back to the table and I order the all you can eat crabs and my freind does also around 40 minutes pass by and the food finally gets to my table and needless to say me and friend had the biggest look of disappointed on our face that we have ever had the crabs were small to be technical smaller then the legal limit they were 3 to 4 the legal limit was 5. I maybe saw 6 crabs 5 inches and for the price we paid 45.95 and for what crabs they were not even allowed to sell? Then the waitress doesnt even ask for a refill for my friend and I and of course our glasses were empty because we waited at this damn table for 40 minutes for some crabs that taste like crap honestly pure crap some of my college lunches taste better than these crabs and half the time our lunches are stale. I addressed this with the manager Ms. Susan and she said I could have another tray 2 things wrong with what she said first we got all we can eat I can get as many trays as I please and second why the hell would I want more of these nasty crabs the logic behind it makes no sense. Also one more thing I noticed Ms.Susan is on here reviewing her own damn restaurant how desperate is that. Maybe if you didnt have the worst service that I ever experienced you wouldnt have to give out fake reviews to make your terrible restaurant look like a normal one. Ill tell you what, I had better service at the mc donalds drive through then at this place and that didnt cost me over 100 dollars. I advise anyone who wants to try this place DO NOT you will be disappointed thats all have a nice day I know I didnt.

I would like to apologize for this late review. However, my husband and I visited this establishment in late summer of 2015. Let me just say, if your skin complexion is not on the very bright side, then there is no need for you to eat at Liberty Crabs, and Im light-skinned damn near white and still didnt pass the test. We were informed by a waitress when we used to frequent Crack Claw (Peter Pan) in the Clarksburg/ Urbana area. Our waitress told us that Libby crabs were bigger and better tasting. 2 years after Crack Claw closed, we decided to go and was so excited to finally get there. First, they fool you by their fake smile as you walk through the door. After seated and getting your drinks immediately after being seated; the SETUP, the show really starts. You dont get your crabs until 45min after you order. Then, they were over seasoned, re-steamed, and so dry that I had to pour soda on mine and hope that the carbonation loosen the meat. Then you ask for another order hoping that the next set would be better. NOT!!!!!!! Not only were they drier, but small, AND we got less. Mean while, our guests beside us, behind us, and ALL around us crabs very big and very appetizing. I am from Baltimore and have eaten crabs up and down the Cheasspeake bay line, and I know what crabs are about. I will NEV-EEER eat here again. Crack Claw had every crab house in Frederick beat. Yes, I am going to say IT, even Mays!

This place is freaking horrible!!! We went for a friends birthday tonight and Im not sure how they are still in business. My wife got the all you can eat crabs and they were waterlogged and smelled like trash! When she asked for a different batch the "manager" came out, took the crab off the tray and ate it. She then said "the crabs come from Louisiana and are fine." Everyone at the table was appalled by the "managers" actions. My wife has been eating crabs for over 25 years and knows when its not right, but this "manager" seemed to think that eating a crab that smells like trash is okay. After the "manager" continued to interrupt my wife, she agreed to bring out 4 more crabs. Unfortunately, these crabs were also rotten and smelled like trash. At this point we gave up and went home hungry. This was not the only issue, because the service also sucked! Our group had to ask multiple times for more food because its "all you can eat", but the food never came and then the server acted like we were the idiots, but in fact she was the complete idiot. When we asked her for more food she said "oh, you want a 2nd order?", but the fact is that she never brought it out after the first request, so it wasnt "2nd order" of anything, because this idiot never brought out the first order as requested...... Bottom line, this place sucks and I hope they fail once again!!!

Atmosphere casual. Prices higher than expected. Food so so. We had a horrendous experience with a busboy with outrageously rude behavior. While speaking with the manager about him, he proceeded to ridicule our group and carry on with the other diners mocking us. This behavior was permitted to continue and we were told he would be dealt with after close. Consequently we became subjected to harassment by him and the other diners until we left. Ive never seen anything like this happen before nor have I seen such a lackadaisical attitude toward customer service. We were offered gift certificates for money off a future dinner. When we indicated that would be worthless as we would never be returning the manager seemed at a loss and kept asking us what she could do. I did not realize it was the responsibility of the customer to develop a plan for restitution. We were assured the busboy would not be there any more were we to return in the future. Apparently this wasnt the first time he had acted this way. It was implied he was going to be fired after close any way. Had this been done before he was given the opportunity to alienate more customers, Liberty Road Seafood and Steak may not have lost 6 more.
